Experience a piece of Italian history at this traditional Putignano trullo, a dry stone hut with a conical roof that's become an iconic symbol of Puglia. Historically constructed as storehouses, homes for farm laborers, and easily dismantled shelters (supposedly to evade tax collectors), this particular trullo offers a beautifully updated interior, a private seasonal swimming pool, and a garden terrace with countryside views!
This air-conditioned home sits three miles southeast of Putignano, a town in the southern Italian region of Puglia. You'll be six miles northwest of Alberobello, whose famous limstone trulli have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and five miles south of the cave network known as Grotte di Castellana. The bustling port city of Bari is also only 28 miles north.
