We intentionally chose a place far from the bustle, and we got it. This place was quaint and peaceful, though sometimes the neighbor played country music during the afternoons. It wasn't bad, as they turned it down be bed time. We did hear the waves one night but usually we couldn't hear the waves. We actually loved the geckos because we knew they were eating up the bugs. Please don't get rid of the geckos. They were our favorite part of the home. We did have to buy soap as none was provided, but that wasn't too big of a deal since we didn't mind going to buy sundries. Overall, it was a nice place, far from the tour sites. Thanks for opening your place for us to get some rest.

Great spot for a family vacation. Lots of room for a rancher. Nice lanai for coffee if you don't mind geckos. Lots of beach gear in the laundry room.

Lovely, peaceful and private home to enjoy the Hilo Side of the Big Island. All the amenities you need !

The house was perfect and was exactly what we were looking for! It was a great experience getting to know the area. There isnt really a beach near by, it's all rocks and cliffs but it is beautiful. Definitely be sure to rent a car since everything is a bit of a drive. It's a perfect location to get the real island experience, meet some locals and go exploring the island.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a really lovely home, big, private, clean and provided us with what we needed. It was about 40 mins away from hilo but the perfect getaway to just relax and spend time away from city life.

I rented this house for myself, which was overly large for just one person. (I began the search too late and there were few choices) The house is very comfortable and would be perfect for a family with children, with 2+ bedrooms, 2 bathrooms

We enjoyed our stay at Puna Paradise. It is a comfortable home with a lovely screened porch to enjoy the private yard. The management company was quick to respond when we had an issue and arrived within a couple of hours to fix it. It's central location was driveable to everything on the east side of the island, plus there is a grocery store in Pahoa which was very convenient. Our only complaint would be that there were no pans suitable to bake in. This home is only three blocks from the ocean and made morning walk enjoyable. If you are seeking a quiet private space this is a good choice.

Dane was very nice to get a place on short notice. The place was nice with on exception and I am sure you here it all the time from main landers, the house was pretty hot every day. The humidity is hard to handle, but other than that it was great. Thank You, Vernon Carson
