Perched on a hill just a few blocks east of the ocean, this home offers views of the sea and beach access just a five-minute walk away. Stroll down to the Oceanside Beach State Recreation Site (or drive, since there is a convenient parking lot) and enjoy a nice romp on the beach, then grab a meal or snack at one of the few eateries in town.

This condo is a subset of a larger house, though you will have plenty of your own space to spread out and relax. Enter through the front door, then walk up three flights of stairs to reach the main living area. This upper floor has large windows that showcase the scenery, including trees, occasional wildlife, and the sparkling blue ocean.

Have a seat in the living room and gaze out the window, read your favorite book, or watch some cable TV on the wall-mounted flatscreen. Other entertainment options include a DVD/VCR player with a selection of classic VHS movies to watch, board games, books, and even WiFi access so everyone will have something fun to do. There's even a convenient bathroom with a shower. This level also features a full kitchen, complete with all major appliances and plenty of space for the cook in your group to prepare filling meals to fuel everyone up for a day of walking on the beach.

There are two chairs at the kitchen bar, and an additional four-seat dining room table, so everyone will have a place to sit and enjoy a leisurely meal. Of course, you could also walk out to the deck and enjoy your morning cup of coffee (or after-dinner glass of wine) while marveling at the gorgeous sights. The first floor deck features a private hot tub for guest use. This upper deck even has a gas grill, so you can cook up a tasty meal and enjoy the fresh air at the same time!

This lower level offers another deck where you can sit and relax. Watch for an occasional deer to pass through the yard, or search the skies for birds (including eagles). Go ahead and turn your gaze toward the ocean and enjoy a spectacular sunset from the comfort of the two ocean-facing decks this home offers. While you're here you will have plenty of space to park your vehicles, and please note that cell phone service may be poor in Oceanside, though it tends to be better three miles away in Netarts.

Here in Oceanside, visitors enjoy a slow-paced, small, and friendly coastal town. There are few businesses, which makes this the perfect place to relax and enjoy the simple things in life. Take a nice long stroll on the beach, search for pretty shells, watch for an occasional whale, build sand castles, or simply walk along the sand and listen to the waves crash on the shore. If you get hungry, head into one of the coffee shops or to the wonderful Roseanna's Cafe, which offers great seafood specials - and don't forget the iconic berry cobbler!

If you feel like leaving Oceanside to check out nearby cities, drive over to Tillamook, which has plenty of shopping, a variety of restaurants, and a famous cheese factory. The smaller Netarts is an even shorter drive from Oceanside, or if you're up for a longer trip you could head south about an hour to reach bustling Lincoln City. This stretch of the Northern Coast is particularly beautiful, with plenty of hiking, biking, and sightseeing opportunities. Cape Meares State Park is north of town, and Netarts Bay and Tillamook Bay (both of which are excellent for boating, crabbing, and fishing) are each about five miles away. Whichever way you go, you will find plenty of fun activities that will please everyone!
