My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful cabin in the woods. The stream and firepit deck were great to sit at and enjoy the beautiful weather. The gated lawn was a great place to let our dog play without worrying about her going too far. The house was well kept, and the kitchen is small, but it has pretty much anything you would need. Our kids loved the bunk beds and hiking and exploring outside. We went into the quaint town of Sylva and enjoyed the downtown area. The relaxing weekend was exactly what we needed. Would recommend to anyone.

The property as such was not bad , spacious, and in a very nice place but it was just immensely high 20-25 minutes going up and same to come down
Nice bbq and we enjoy spaciously being able to share without bumping one with the other
The house needs lots of maintenance , there were many light bulbs out
Si their rule number one was: inspect and walk around the house to be sure that everything is in working order, the lights to go down stairs were all burned out and the bathroom light too
We needed to buy lights bulb the first night to be able to walk around safely
Problem number two the towels were all badly stained and they don’t allow to wash them and add bleach, then it was awful to dry with a filthy towel
The house needs maintenance in general
The faucet were clogged and the trash under the furniture was an attraction for my puppy to go and eat all he will find
Other than that the stay was good and as a owner of a vacation rental myself I suggest the owner to come more often to the house and inspect and see what they are paying for their service maintenance
Manager response:
Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We have provided your valuable feedback to our local manager. They are having maintenance to the home to address the issues with the drains and light bulbs. We will look into having the towels replaced. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope we can host you again!

Beautiful cabin in tranquil area!

Loved the location and the lodge, it was a wonderful stay. The hot tub didn’t work though, and we were very much looking forward to it as a part of our trip, as well as a couple of teenagers that were excited to have a hot tub while the adults were away in town.

We really loved this house but chose it for the hot tub. I was worried after seeing a previous review saying the same so checked on it first thing. It wasn’t working so contacted Vacasa twice the first night and twice everyday we were there which was four nights. They sent one person out that we know of but it was not fixed and so we didn’t get to use it throughout our stay. Other than that though we really liked the fire pit, creek next to the house, bunk beds, grill and foosball table.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Jerry! We apologize for the disappointment concerning the hot tub and we are sorry our in-house maintenance technician was not able to address the necessary repairs during your stay. We have since been able to resolve these issues with a professional service company and the hot tub is again available for enjoyment. We hope to host you again in the future!

This was the perfect location to reconnect as a family. Time was spent walking the hills, doing puzzles, playing games, relaxing In the hot tub, and laughing by the campfire. The home had everything we needed to make it our home away from home, Thank you, Moose Creek Lodge owners and property managers!

The area for my puppy, the comfortable beds.

When you want to get away from modern technology, rent this cabin. You can relax and unwind. The biggest part of your day will be to figure out which tree you want to stare at or which bird you want to watch. The best relaxation.
