Classic oceanfront cottage w/ ocean views & entertainment - walk to beach!

Gorgeous ocean views and tranquil breezes are yours to enjoy at this classic East Boothbay vacation rental. With four bedrooms, up to eight guests will repose in comfort and style here!

Situated at historic Ocean Point and just 10 minutes from town, this charming cottage built in 1891 has been a popular summer retreat for generations. This rocky coastline is one of the most picturesque of mid-coast Maine, and from the front steps of the cottage you’re just 100 yards from the water's edge, with open views of the Ram Island Lighthouse, working lobster boats, and passing sailing ships.

The covered front deck, with comfortable seating and a coffee table, invite you to relax and enjoy the special view. And as soon you enter the cottage you know you're in Maine - from the painted wood floors to the exposed rustic-wood ceiling.

The open living area features an eclectic mix of new and vintage furniture and decor. On the wall hangs an antique wooden sign salvaged from the historic old inn, the Atlantic House (where this cottage gets its name) that was once situated just a few hundred feet down by Shore Road, and catered to Ocean Point guests a hundred years ago. A gas fireplace adds ambiance and warmth.

But there is no shortage of modern amenities here! The new 40-in Smart LED TV comes with cable and Netflix streaming, along with a Blu-ray/DVD player and a library of DVD movies. There is also free WiFi access and unlimited free phone calling nationally.

The adjacent cozy dining room with its oversized table and chairs invites you to enjoy the ocean sights and sounds as you savor a hearty repast prepared in the newly remodeled kitchen. With its own ocean view, the bright new kitchen is well-equipped and features all new stainless steel appliances, including a fridge with ice-maker, a glass smooth-top range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and Keurig coffee maker, as well as a farmhouse sink with garbage disposal.

Down the hall is the airy and bright full bath. There is also a brand new washer/dryer unit in the hall closet next to the bathroom.

The expansive master bedroom with queen bed and wood floors and ceiling also offers an extra room through a curtained partition, with two additional twin beds.

Head up the quaint staircase of painted wood to the second level where white, dormer-style ceilings and wood floors evoke a magical feel. Here you’ll find the front bedroom with a queen brass bed and colorful quilt and a priceless view of the ocean and sleepy sounds of the crashing surf. There are two more charming bedrooms, each with twin beds, as well as a one half-bath.

Guests are free to use the Ocean Point Community amenities. The center, known as The Casino, is less than a five-minute walk from the cottage, and includes games, tennis courts, a playground, and community events like Sunday parent-child softball games that have been going on for generations.

Take a stroll along Shore Road and you'll come to the nearby marina where you can dock your boat or jump in for a swim. Across the marina is the historic Ocean Point Inn, one of Boothbay area's finest restaurants that also features a daily breakfast buffet. Grimes Cove Beach is also a short walk from the cottage in the other direction.

East Boothbay has long been a summer mecca for New Englanders. With its classic architecture, quaint mom-and-pop shops, and restaurants, it's the perfect retreat.

At Ocean Point you’ll feel at peace in no time. From the ocean sights and sounds to the smell of fragrant pine to the beautiful sunsets, there is no place like this gorgeous Maine vacation rental! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

Atlantic House is a very clean and very cute cottage with a beautiful view of Ocean Point. The two upstairs bedrooms with twin beds are smaller than we expected from the photos, but our kids were pretty comfortable. This is the best kitchen we’ve ever had in a rental. The reliable ocean breeze kept the cottage comfortably cool even on the hottest days. The newly renovated front porch is AWESOME! We could choose shade or sun all day without sacrificing on the view. We hope to return and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

La beauté et la tranquillité des lieux nous ont séduits. Logement très propre et confortable. On y retourne assurément!

This cabin still has the charm if old school OPME but the added comfort of a new kitchen and a cozy breakfast porch.

Wonderful view from the porch. Nicely renovated kitchen and first floor bath but really needed a second full bath with a shower.

The pictures do not give it any justice. The incredible views from the front port of the ocean provides a very relaxing setting for an individual and families of all sizes.

Rustic cottage (literally wood and nails) with cute nautical theme. Appreciated the renovated kitchen and bathroom. The view from porch and dining room are awesome. Pretty tight for 8 people. Living room can not accomodate that size. Dining table is for 6 but can fit a few more at corners. Upstairs is pretty tight as well with low ceilings and a tiny 1/2 bathroom. For elderly, upstairs is not accessible.
Location is gorgeous. Facing ocean and ocean point. Note the walk along the ocean does not have a path everyone walks on the road and because it's quite scenic is does get mildly busy so also something to keep in mind for elderly folks.
The house is situated on a large grassy lawn with two neighboring homes. It's a really lovely location.

We truly enjoyed all aspects of our stay at Ocean Point. Having numerous Maine locations and stays for comparative purposes, this was at the top. Great home, great location (Ocean breezes, Islands, rocks and a yard for smaller kids to play) all lent to a tremendous time. Would highly recommend to anyone trying to experience quintessential Maine.

Nice location, not a good property

We can not recommend this property highly enough. We enjoyed a magical week with our three young daughters in this cozy, beautifully appointed cottage over looking the ocean. Watching the sunrise over the ocean from the upstairs bedroom ever morning was only surpassed by joining fellow vacationers on the rock at Ocean Point just steps from the cottage each night to take in the breathtaking sunset. We will certainly be back for years to come.

Beautiful house, nicely renovated and welcoming. Clean and with a nice modern and rustic touch to it. Has all of the amenities that you would need for an extended stay so just bring yourself and your family, stock the fridge and you are good to go for your stay.

We stayed a this property for a week late July. Weather was great. The house itself has a great location. The village was very charming. It allowed us to have a very peaceful getaway. Neighbors were nice and charming. The nearby beach is a little small but it is an easy drive to larger beaches near Bath, ME. Overall we are very satisfied and would stay here again.

Wonderful property in the perfect location.

We had such a lovely time at this property. It is perfectly Maine in décor and the area is just stunning. There is the most amazing sunset right outside the house, overlooking a picturesque Maine lighthouse. The kitchen was amazing and so nice for preparing meals at home. I cannot recommend this property enough.

Gorgeous house with gorgeous views. We enjoyed a wonderful relaxing vacation with some little ones. The house was amazing - especially the very functional and brand new kitchen - great views from the porch, comfortable rooms, and excellent proximity to fun things to do on the beach! We would happily go back!

My family (6 adults) and I had a great time enjoying The Atlantic House as part of my cousin's nearby wedding weekend. My only regret is I wish we had more time at the house vs. wedding activities. We will definitely be back again!
