This cabin was in the perfect location! The resort was crowded but we felt secluded. The resort had everything we could need, plus some! The amenities in the cabin was awesome!! Staff was super nice! We have recommended this place to all our friends. We will definitely be back!

The waters edge cabins are very comfortable for a couple dudes on a fishing trip, not necessarily what a wife or girlfriend might want. The grill is nice, AC is really a nice feature in the hot weather. Sadly the whole resort is suffering from neglect however.

We really like to relax here with children. Nice place, lake, fishing. But there is very little light in the evening, it’s dark for people to go to the shower, toilet. And I would like to clean well in the cabins.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us! We apologize for the house not being cleaned as thoroughly as is our standard. Please know that local staff is available to assist with any cleanliness issues you encounter while in the home. We hope to get the chance to host you again! Thank you.

Please bring your own toilet paper when staying in this "resort" and a fly swatter if you plan on sitting on the toilets. I've stayed in alot of campgrounds and this one won the award for nastiest restrooms. I dont know if I'm more concerned with catching corona from the entire staff not wearing masks or catching something from the fly infested toilets.
Manager response:
Hi Elizabeth, thank you for staying with us! We are so sorry the cabin did not meet your expectations upon arrival. Please note the listing does mention there is no plumbing in the cabin. There are traditional style bathrooms available to guests at the lodge beside the outhouses on campus. We sincerely apologize for the unprofessional service you received, this is certainly not in-line with our standards and expectations. We will be sure to follow up with the appropriate parties regarding your experience. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!

The waters edge cabins are simple but comfortable, I have been going to Sunbanks with a couple buddies for several years on a several day fishing trip. The cabins suit us just fine, an upgrade from tent camping for sure. AC is nice during the hot summer/early fall days. Sleeps 4 comfortably. BBQ grill on the front porch is handy, has a side burner for boiling water, cooking etc. Sunbanks staff are always pleasant and accommodating. The only down side is the resort itself seems to be falling into disrepair, lots of deferred maintaince, fences falling down, landscape getting overgrown etc... That said, we always enjoy our stay at Sunbanks and will continue to book a cabin there in the future.

My boys (12 and 14) and I had a great time in cabin 404. The cabin is right by the stairs that go down into the water where they swam with the dog for hours. Neighbors all very friendly with letting dog visit. Lots of pets at cabin, so if you don’t like dogs I would recommend different area. Most people had pets. Only downfall is there is no shady area at that cabin and we didn’t bring our cover so it got very hot and had to go inside or up to resort to get out of heat. Cabin had A/C but it was the greatest especially with kids going in and out constantly but it def helped. The cute little “squeeling” I thought was a birds nest in our roof turned out to be a bunch of bats. They were everywhere, in most cabins in the roof but only caused nasty pellet poop all over the front decks the following morning and random nighttime noise. Neighbors said not to wear your hair in high bun cause they will get stuck, needless to say my hair stayed down the rest of the time haha (not sure if that was true or not but I believed him, however naive that makes me oh well :))We love this place, came and camped last year and returned for a cabin this year. You will have a blast, lots of fun water sports to rent too. Would definitely recommend.
