The two most important things to us: It was a clean, well-maintained property, and it was private.
In the last 18 months, we've stayed at 4 - 5 other rented cabins in Northern Wisconsin while we look around for a place to buy. None of them come anywhere close to the quality and experience this place offers. We'll stick with Vacasa from now on.

Gorgeous cabin that feels secluded even though there are neighbors on both sides. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen equipment met our cooking needs for the week. The beds were comfortable enough. It is quite remote (our cell service was not supported and we could not make phone calls). The WiFi works but is slow and streaming movies was semi-painful. But, then again, we did not come to this beautiful remote place for modern technology. We spent the majority of our time either on the screened in porch or by the outdoor fireplace, taking in the stunning fall view of Booth Lake.

This property far exceeded our expectations! This was our first time with Vacasa rentals. Communication was prompt and exact, we had no issues getting into our place, and details about checking out were given to us also. The property was immaculate.
We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this property. The location in the bay was secluded and quiet. There are neighbors on either side, houses cannot be seen through the trees. Due to winds on the main lake the peninsula kept the bay relatively calm every day. Views of the lake were great, the pathway/stairs down to the pier were manageable. The pier and bench were new and the pier is quite large. There is a great entryway for kayaks or canoes to launch. Kayaks and canoes were on the bank of the property, we did not use these as we had our own. We did not swim here, it was September and the lake was fairly cold, the shore is sand and rock mix.
The outdoor living space at this property is what we loved most about this house. There is a huge outdoor fireplace with several Adirondack chairs facing the lake. You do need to bring your own firewood. There is an enclosed screen porch with comfy chairs, ottomans, and a large round dining table for six. There is also a covered open-air porch facing the lake and extending around the house facing the lawn area with another table for four, rocking chairs and smaller chairs. Plenty of seating and options for larger groups to gather.
Furnishings we found to be excellent; furniture, cookware, bedding, extra blankets, towels, toiletries, little extras such as aluminum foil, saran wrap, dishwashing detergent, sponges, shampoo, conditioner, soaps. We really were not lacking for anything. There is a washer/dryer in the basement.
The main level has 2 bedrooms – master bedroom has large sitting area and adjoining bathroom. 2nd bedroom is at the other end of the house which is nice for privacy, ½ bath with shower on the main level also. The loft had several twin beds, nice décor and bedding.
The lower level is new, a sitting area with TV, extra bathroom, and bedroom, very private.
There is no TV reception here, Netflix is available if you have an account.
Area roads are great for walking/hiking – they are somewhat hilly.
Neighboring Buckskin Lake is a must for kayaking or canoeing.
We loved it here! Highly recommend this property.

The house was beautiful. The newly redone basement addition of a bedroom, full bath and tv room were unexpected but very welcome and beautifully done. Beds were comfy, decor beautiful and the house well stocked for anything we needed. The dock, lake and use of canoes kept the family busy and exhausted from fun daily. One note that is not a negative about the house but cell reception is extremely spotty in that area. You’re good in the house if you connect to WiFi...just be sure if you need directions to a local attraction you pull them up in the house while still connected to WiFi before you leave. Also, while they do have streaming available on Netflix (you need an account), the internet is slow so there’s a lot of buffering. This wasn’t a huge problem for us but it rained all day one day so we went to the Walmart in town and picked up a few $5 DVDs and used the DVD player in the basement instead. Another tip, my kids wanted floaties for the lake and I forgot to bring any. No store in town had anything except the expensive boat tubes. Walmart looked like the apocalypse had started, lol, thanks Covid. Stop at a store at home for that or bring your own. If you need wood for the awesome fireplace, we found some at Christ’s gas station as the larger stores like Walmart and Trig’s didn’t have any and you’ll want to use it! Overall, highly recommend this property for one of the most fun and relaxing trips you’ll have, especially with the Pandemic going on.

Beautiful home. Only drawback is that pots/pans are old and we were finding bits of enamel in our food
Thank you for staying with us, Marie! We are glad you enjoyed the home and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We will work with our team to identify areas for improvement. We look forward to hosting you again!

This beautiful cabin cannot be truly appreciated from the pictures. There is plenty of sleeping space, the kitchen is nicely equipped with everything you may need, including a crock pot!
The view off the deck I am sure is amazing in the summer & fall. We were there in the early spring & the lake was still ice covered.
The cabin is secluded offering peace & quiet and a place to “isolate” which is what my family did.
I would definitely come back. Can’t wait to see the finished basement. Also appreciated the washer & dryer in the basement.

The cottage is small but was perfect for us. We loved the porches and the outdoor fireplace. We reached out to The manager as we had a few issues, but they were quickly resolved. Please note, there is no Netflix of HBO streaming. There is a TV that is compatable with streaming, but you need to bring your streaming devices or know your log ins and passwords. The TV does not have a Prime app so you would need to have a Roku or AV cable to hook up to stream amazon prime. This was annoying because we thought actual service was available so we did not bring anything with us, However, all said.. the house is quite nice for two and a dog.. we had friends join us for a couple of days and we were not cramped. Did I mention the porches? Wonderful. Outdoor Fireplace? Wonderful. Both bedrooms say they have queen beds but beds seemed small... but we are used to kings. Overall a lovely getaway with nice accommodations. It’s a private setting about 15 to 29 minutes into Minocqua.
