The home has a great view of Moosehead Lake! I’m sure the swimming is great in the summer. The television offered many channels for just chilling after a day of exploring. The beds were comfortable.
There is only one bathroom which we worked out but might be inconvenient for some. The toilet upstairs is just that, no sink to wash your hands. You have to go to the kitchen. The furniture is in need of replacing. The couch had some kind of board under it to support the cushions. The pillows were flat! Bring your own. Our comforter in the downstairs bedroom SMELLED! They did bring a replacement when I asked. The washing machine wasn’t working properly.
There are stairs in and outside of the home - please consider your travelers before renting.
The Stress Free Moose had good food.
John, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and we apologize if you were disappointed in your stay. We have inspected the washing machine and found it to be functioning properly. While there are no current plans for updates, your suggestions have been shared with the homeowners for their consideration. We hope to host you for a great stay in the future.

It's a great location if you like to be close to town but the noise from the West Cove Lounge drifting across to us, the road noise and some noise from the sporting camp down the road were all a bit much for us. The house is nice. Be aware of the stone stairs as the side ones are quite uneven and some are really tall. The docks were awesome but there was some trash in the lake that needs to be cleaned out. All in all, it was a good place for us in a fairly late decision to go to Moosehead this year but we prefer the places that are a little further out and secluded.

We loved the whole experience. Beautiful view and so quiet and very comfortable. Loved it.

Rough on the outside but comfortable and clean inside. Lake access was wonderful. If newly remolded basement/master suite is any indication of their plans for the rest of the house, excited to see the results. Fenced area for our dog was great. Easy access to town, grocery and rentals. Outdoor furniture could be updated. Would def book again. But only saw 2 moose :/
