Luxury home on Summit Peak at the exclusive Elk River Club!

If you are searching for dramatic mountain views, search no more. Perched atop an exclusive 4,600-foot ridge in one of the most beautiful areas of Banner Elk is Summit Peak at Elk River Club, an exclusive gated community with 24-hour security. The front door opens into a massive great room with a lofty ceiling and wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-floor windows revealing a monumental view of the expansive valley below and the magnificent mountains of the Blue Ridge in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. The dynamic landscape includes 23 peaks, mountains and knolls encompassing Mt. Mitchell (the highest elevation east of the Mississippi) and Roan and Hump Mountains, all of which are criss-crossed by the Appalachian Trail. The trail is easily accessible at several locations, with its verdant forests and numerous waterfalls.

The deck spans the length of the house and offers outdoor entertaining with the grandeur of the mountains in the background. A gas grill is available for the chef. Virtually all of the rooms have panoramic views of the landscape, and each bedroom has access to the expansive deck where the serene mountain views can be enjoyed.

The generous master suite includes a king-size bed with an en suite full bath and a two-sided fireplace. Soak in the two-person jetted tub while enjoying the fireplace and incredible view. Sooooo romantic.

Opposite the master await two other sizable bedrooms with en suite attached full baths. Designed with open, breathable spaces that encourage mingling and entertaining, this property is perfect for family and friends seeking to connect and relax.

A perfect blend of luxury and nature.

Great property. Our family really enjoyed our stay this past weekend. the enormous deck is probably the highlight

our original plans were at a property at Ocean Isle Beach, but Hurricane Isaias changed our destination to this beautiful spacious home. Loved this mountain top home in the beautiful Elk River community and enjoyed the cooler weather and watching the amazing sunsets from the deck. A great fit for our family of five adults. Spent time in nearby Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Would highly recommend!!

The house was a delight. We enjoyed our stay. We originally had a stay at the beach scheduled for our vacation, but Covid19 closures cancelled our plans. A quiet trip to the mountains was just what we needed.

Beautiful home! Breathtaking views! Our stay was delightful and peaceful. While this home is off the beaten path, that’s what made it so special. The sunrises & sunsets were spectacular. Well appointed home with cozy bedrooms and seating areas. Master suite is spacious, and the views from its floor-to-ceiling windows are incredible. 10-15 minutes from “downtown” Banner Elk. 30 minutes from Grandfather Mountain (must-see!!!). 30 minutes from the Land of Oz on Beech Mountain (our reason for visiting was Autumn at Oz). Almost everything in Banner Elk is closed on Sunday & Monday, so plan accordingly. Go to Fred’s General Mercantile in Beech Mountain—darling grocery and souvenir shop.

You cannot beat the view and the comfort of this expansive house! The place is huge and the deck is bigger than our own home—ha! I can’t say enough good things about this property. We travelled with our 3 young children and it was perfect. A few things to note: the drive up into the country club is a bit windy (if you have car-sick-prone travelers), there is a great laundry room, and have I mentioned the view yet? It was amazing!
