Sweet cottage in the redwoods w/ river beach access & deck - small dogs OK!

Gorgeously tucked away in a grove of soaring, fragrant redwoods, this cottage provides a peaceful retreat in the artistic hamlet of Villa Grande. This woodland oasis, which sits 500 feet from a beach on the banks of the Russian River, offers an open living space with custom woodwork and lovely touches of vintage architecture, a beautiful deck and gas grill to enjoy beneath a canopy of trees, and a wood-burning fireplace to curl up to on chilly Sonoma County evenings.

What's nearby:
This home sits within a short stroll of a community beach on the Russian River, one mile northwest of the amphitheater, the riverfront park, and the wonderful Lightwave Coffee and Kitchen in the heart of Monte Rio. The Northwood Golf Course - which has a great restaurant with freshly baked pies - is less than two miles east, and the tiny community of Duncans Mills - where you can dine at the always delicious Cape Fear Cafe or Blue Heron Restaurant and Tavern - is five miles west. Take a drive to explore the eclectic shops and restaurants in downtown Guerneville (six miles east), admire the rugged beauty of the ocean at Sonoma Coast State Park (10 miles west), or spend a day (legally) foraging mushrooms at Salt Point State Park (27 miles northwest) before catching the sunset at Timber Cove on the way back.

Great little spot.
Neighbor across the street is very nice. She just asked us not to park near her gate as she cannot get in or out. Was not a problem. Very clean. Big bathroom. Nice decks.

We had a really nice time here- the home was very comfortable and is located in a wonderful spot near the river. Loved eating our meals out on the shady deck!

There were so many trees, it felt like I was sleeping in a redwood grove! Crystal’s cabin is clean, cozy, and was conveniently close to the city. The back deck was perfect for enjoying the afternoon light with a book, some wine and maybe a little nap. I will definitely be back for a longer forest soak.
