There are expansive windows looking out to the water from the large open-concept main living area with a giant kitchen, as well as from the comfortable loft. The house was very clean and comfortable.

The home was exactly as it was pictured on the rental site. I would definitely stay here again.

Beach is quiet and lovely, house is big and plenty of room for families. House needs to be cleaned better and the exterior of the home needs improvement.

The house has TONS of windows facing south - perfect to capture sunlight in Seattle. The bay is very peaceful, and we saw porpoises swimming in the water every day we were there. Perfect location for a relaxing vacation.

Pros: We loved the view, the location and the open family concept and modern look of the place. It was comfortable and refreshing to be there. Stove, oven, microwave worked great! Showers were high pressure and there were plenty of towels in the cupboards and extra shampoo’s and soaps in the drawers. The neighbor lady Margery was lovely and said she enjoyed watching our (very loud) kids play. She even asked us to come back again. The kids had a wonderful time and discovered a driftwood seesaw out the back doors as well as wonderful natural treasures along the beach. You’re 10 min from quaint Coopeville and 15 from the drive-in movie theater with go-karts, arcade too. We had fun doing that for one evening. Oak Harbor is also close (20min) and the biggest town around with Starbucks and other major stores if you’re doing all your grocery shopping on the island.

Cons: Some attention is needed in a few areas. Every drawer and cupboard you open is filthy inside. Cups have lipstick marks on them and make you feel very nervous about the cleanliness of anything else. I wish I’d taken a picture of the deck when we’d arrived - it was a far cry from the picture here. I spent 30 minutes arranging the furniture and fixing cushions and wiping it all down. There was leftover chalk bits strewn around and broken shells as well as tons of garbage all over the beach. My kids did an hour of trash collection. Then the grill...Disgusting!! Spent 45 minutes hooking it up and cleaning it just to be able to use. Fireplace doesn’t work. To top it all off there was a load of sheets and towels in the dryer (damp) so I spend another hour drying them and folding them before I could use it. Wow! I should be getting paid for the housekeeping at this point! A deep clean is needed and some updates on kitchen items. Bring anything you need with you because you won’t find much here of use and it may be filthy anyway. As one reviewer said, no good knives! I luckily read that and brought one and I’m so glad I did. To that list I’d add: Paper-plates and cups, napkins and paper towels (they gave us 1/4 of a roll of paper towels and I had to buy more), ziplock bags for food storage and Saran Wrap if you plan to cook anything at the house. Also, there’s no tea kettle if you’re a tea drinker, FYI.

The flat street was great for biking to the beach with the kids. In one direction is the beginning of Fort Casey and the other is a Sandy Beach. Fire pit on the beach, what's not to love?

Loved this home. It was so peaceful and private. The house had minimal wear and tear and was quite comfortable. Would definitely consider staying in this home again. (But having sharper knives to prepare meals with would be a definite bonus!)

The house is exactly as presented in the photos. The views of the water are stunning. Checkin was very easy and communication with the host excellent. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Internet is fast and reliable. Kitchen was good but would ideally have a few extra items e.g. steak knives, a colander, and a larger cooking pot. Very good overall, would definitely stay again.

The location was fantastic and super private. We had a great stay but was disappointed with the showers. The one in the master had temperature control issues and in the other bathroom, the shower wasn't functioning because the diverter was not working. Also, we were looking forward to using the fireplace but that wasn't functioning either. Otherwise, the house was great for a quick weekend getaway.
Manager response:
We are happy that you had a nice time! Thank you for the valuable feedback. We have passed it along to the manager for attention. We hope you will let us host you again soon!

Perfect for family. Brilliant view. Large space, cozy rooms. Kids love bunk beds a lot. Lots of toys for little one, sand and bubbles, games, etc. Thanks a lot for such an unforgettable vacation experience.
