Our family of 7 loved this home. The layout was perfect for the teens to hang out and sleep downstairs. We loved the ping pong table and the hot tub. The setting is gorgeous.

This is amazing home great location everything was perfect except AC was not working but it worked out as it was not to hit. Needs fixed
Thank you for your review, Don. We are glad you enjoyed this home and apologize for the issues you experienced with the A/C. We will work with our local team to ensure these items are corrected for future guests. We hope to host you again in the near future!

This house was almost perfect for our getaway - spacious, wonderful view, very comfortable, and clean. Please note that it is actually nowhere near where the map says it is. In fact it is about a 10 minute drive out of Washougal on a winding road with a long driveway and a steep hill up to the house. Because it is so remote, cell service was spotty at best, and Wifi never worked. I called Vacasa twice to try to fix the Wifi issue, but despite saying they would address it and call me back they never did. However, after my stay they granted my request for a partial refund for the loss of amenity, so I appreciate them trying to make it right. The house could benefit from some additional lighting outside, especially near the hot tub, and a few more pots and pans, but the sunrises over the Columbia River and soothing sounds of the bullfrogs at night more than made up for a few small inconveniences.
Delia T.Jan 2020
Lots of space to spread out for a group or family. Tons of different things to do, including a movie theatre, ping pong, hot tub and a nice kitchen to cook in and our group enjoyed all of them during the three nights we were there!
Ryan L.Nov 2019
Excellent vacation home in a beautiful, secluded location. Very comfortable and perfect for entertaining. We'll be back!
Jacqueline S.Aug 2019
Beautiful home and amazing views. Wonderful time bonding with the kids playing the games provided (ping pong and cornhole). House is secluded.
Cathy S.Aug 2019
We rented this home for our daughter's wedding in Washoughal. It was a beautiful, comfortable home but it was further out than the pin drop shown on the map. Otherwise we loved it!
Cheryl C.Jul 2019
The views, the peacefulness, the back deck, the entire house meet everyone’s expectations and more!
Eleanor R C.Jun 2019
Remote location....lovely home......Gorgeous views overlooking Columbia River............Very clean.........hardly any communication available.....
Kim M.May 2019
Absolutely loved this house, the location, the frogs, the wildlife, and the hot-tub. Beautifully finished house secluded among the trees had every amenity and stunning woodwork throughout. We all loved the frogs dining each night in the pools outside the front door.
Diane R.May 2019
Amazing house with an Amazing view! We had 8 staying in the house and it as plenty big for all. Wonderful huge kitchen had everything we needed. Hot tub was wonderful. Beds and linens were great too.

Once you're there you won't want to leave.

This house is beautiful. Very roomy with a view that’s calming and peaceful. I love spending time here
Elaine G.Nov 2018
Our family of 8 loved our Thanksgiving trip and stay at the Cascadia Tree House. Plenty of room for our family to spread out or come together, eat and play games. The view was beautiful with the fall foliage. We would have loved to have been able to enjoy the fireplace but were not allowed. Nor does this house offer cable TV, which we really missed because my family loves football! Had to resort to keeping tabs on scores via our cell phones, not fun!
We are so happy to hear this guest and their family enjoyed their Thanksgiving at our home! This unit is not advertised as having cable or a fireplace. We will make a suggestion to the owner but do recommend guests search out homes with amenities that are vital to their comfort during their stay. We hope to host this guest again soon!
Semkin L.Nov 2018
We gathered together as a family and it was a perfect setting for 6 adults and a toddler! Windy weather kept us predominantly inside, but comfortable beds, lots of living space to spread out, terrific kitchen and a fun media room (although a little too small for the 6 of us to be comfortable)
Linda H.Sep 2018
This is a beautiful home with amazing views! It was well furnished and provided a very comfortable place to stay. I highly recommend it.
Dashna M.Jul 2018
As a family we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well kept beautiful home. The master bedroom and main living room has large windows that lookout to the Columbia River. High vaulted ceilings in the living room and dining room, with a large state of the art kitchen. Forget your silverware, plates, glasses, pots and pans. This home comes fully equipped. It's as if you brought your own home to this location, but better! Bbq, take a dip in the hot tub that overlooks the river with beautiful views. Take a hike or a run in the trails. Head to Multnomah Falls in about 30 minutes. Relax in bed all day and take in the view of the river straight from the master bedroom. This place has it all! We will DEFINITELY be back! :D
Gowsalya M.Jun 2018
We loved this house a lot and the kids thought it is a fun house.. we reached there a little late and it was a bit scary for the first time, otherwise, the house is in great condition and a treat for nature lovers..
JOHN M.Jun 2018
First, I want to say that when I had questions about the house prior to our visit, the people I spoke with were very kind and helpful. When they didn't have an immediate answer, they made sure to get back with me in a timely manner. The home is clean and well kept. The highlight is the setting. Very peaceful, quiet, with a beautiful view of the Columbia River! Very short distance to the Cape Horn Trailhead, which was a great hike for the family...unbelievable view. Even saw a bald eagle circling at eye level:) Would definitely stay there again!
Benjamin D.Apr 2018
We enjoyed our stay very much!
The house-the views-very peaceful-very beautiful!!!
Would recommend to stay here; will stay here in the future.
Just far enough out of town but not to far to enjoy Portland,Vancouver,The Gorge and other surrounding areas.
Only thing that was a minor negative was multiple burnt light bulbs but were able to manage.
Had a wonderful stay!!!!!

Gorgeous property in a picture perfect setting. The cleanliness of the home and the overall maintenance was subpar. Underneath the couches in the movie room there was moldy food and utensils that looked like they had been there for a matter of months, random holes in the walls throughout the home, kitchen countertops were falling apart and taped together. Fire place is not for guest use.
Dawn R.Feb 2018
We did our annual retreat here with seven adults and there was always plenty of room to move around, cook and a play games at the huge table. The view from the living areas is beautiful and the location is very quiet (and very, very dark if you come in at night).
Other than a few minor maintenance issues like dead light bulbs we really enjoyed our stay at the Cascadia Tree House.
Gerardo F.Feb 2018
I loved the home and the location of it and was in great condition. The view was incredible and I would gladly go back for a weekend getaway.
Alexander C.Jan 2018
Took my family here for the week after Christmas 2017. We wanted a big house surrounded by trees and nature with a great view. This house offered all of those things so we are happy with our stay.
1) The bedrooms are spacious with comfy beds and decent closet space. Enough blankets and pillows for everyone. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked as well.
2) The kitchen is beautiful, well stocked with supplies and cooking utensils. Everything in there worked fine.
3) The downstairs is very comfy and cozy, with nice comfy chairs and surround sound for watching movies. The garage space is wide open to play table tennis.
4) Each floor has a thermostat and the heating worked great (except the heated floors in the upstairs bathroom did not work).
5) The water is treated and soft, but it stays hot pretty well. No problems with showers and baths.
6) The 6-disk CD player with speakers in each room is a great feature. We played music throughout the house and controlled which rooms could hear it. (Although the CD collection is a bit dated, and there is no iPod/iPhone docking station).
7) The exterior grounds are beautiful and maintained, with great views of the Columbia River Gorge and lots of land for kids to roam around.
Our major complaint is the lack of upkeep/maintenance in certain things.
1) There was almost a dozen light bulbs burnt out throughout the property, which meant dime lighting inside and made getting around at night (especially outside) difficult.
2) There is no working television (just a DVD player) which for a house this big and upscale there should at least be free local channels set up through an antenna.
3) The WiFi signal was very weak as well, so we couldn't get any of our online streaming services to work.
4) The fireplace is not in working condition and sealed off for use. Again, for a house this upscale and expensive, it should be a working feature of the home.
5) The outdoor hot tub water was really dirty, which is disappointing because we paid an extra fee for hot tub service.
6) The large trash bin for pick up was stuffed full to the brim when we got there, so we couldn't really add anything and it was an eye sore to look at when coming in and out of the driveway.
Overall, this is a nice house to stay for a family/friends get away. The house should better reflect the price charged however, so I highly recommend the owners/managers of this property hire someone to walk around the property every couple of week or two, to make sure things are in property working condition. It would make a stay here one of the best a person can find on Vacasa.
Also note, that if you visit in the winter time with snow/ice on the ground, make sure you have tire traction devices or snow tires, as the road and driveway leading up to the house is steep. We had one car that couldn't get up it.
We are glad to see there was a list of good to be had with the bad and would like to take this opportunity to address the less pleasant aspects of this guest's stay. The light bulbs have been replaced; the downstairs TV is an Apple TV and is working perfectly; the internet is currently functioning at its best; the hot tub is in good condition; the trash situation has been resolved. We apologize for the disappointment with the fireplace - the owners would prefer guests not use it at this time. Thank you!

We rent close to our daughter to have Christmas when our son comes to visit from London. What a blast this year. The house was perfect size. 4 adults were there and 4 others came to visit without any feelings of being crowded. With 3 levels there was always a place for things to happen (kids in the basement with ping pong, tv and able to set up r/c cars to play with), living room for more quiet times and a very large kitchen big enough for 3 cooks at a time.
There is a bathroom on each level. A very nice washer and dryer is available so you can pack a little lighter.
The home is beautiful. The hot tub is in the open, but nice to have. It was clean and nice and warm with the rain and wind that occurred during our visit.
The home is secluded, but close to a main road and only 12 miles from groceries, gas, etc.
The view is great!!! It's of the Columbia River and you can even watch the lights of the barges on the river at night.
Hands down---very worth the stay.
I highly recommend this home. It was relaxing and fun.

Cascadia Tree House was everything (and more) the listing said it would be. The location was just right for our vacation plans for both the Gorge and a family wedding in Washington. The property is pristine, the view is spectacular, and the beds oh so comfy. The numerous custom amenities added to the luxury. It was an absolute perfect setting and size for our party of 8 adults. I would highly recommend.
Kirk H.Sep 2017
The property is gorgeous and in a good location.
The maintenance on the house was somewhat lacking (not 100% clean, oven didn't work and hvac wasn't keeping up). The hot tub jets also didn't work.
Overall, we had a great experience here and I would recommend it, but encourage the owners to bring some of these things up to snuff for future vacationers.
We apologize some of the amenities were lacking in their functionality. We’re excited to report the oven has been replaced. The AC is at its best when the temperatures are moderate. It’s those random warm days where it works to try and keep up. Thank you.
Brian B.Sep 2017
Overall the stay was wonderful. We had thought that the house had been closer to Portland. The grocery shopping in Portland offered a much better selection of foods and wines than the Safeway in Washougal. Our only advice is to shop before you make the trip to the house. Otherwise, the house is spectacular and placed neatly in the Columbia Gorge. It is a comfortable place to relax with friends with a charcuterie and wine in hand.
Alan C.Aug 2017
For the price you would expect more. Decent place with nice view. Generally comfortable. We travel a lot and the price value relationship was below average relative to our other experiences.
Philip W.Aug 2017
Nothing more to say than the above. Lovely, lovely house; dramatic setting; enchanting Gorge. A few repairs would make it even better.
Kristie A.Jul 2017
Beautiful lovely clean home great for families..
Meagan D.Jul 2017
The house was beautiful and the back yard was perfect for BBQ and relaxing with our friends. We had a couple hiccups as the dishwasher wasn't working and the air conditioning didn't work at first. The biggest complaint was the softener in the water. When you took a shower, you felt as though you couldn't get clean. Very slimy. Overall the house was beautiful and quiet.
We apologize for the inconveniences this guest experienced. The air conditioner has been fixed, and the dishwasher has been replaced as of February 2018. Thank you!
Brian K.Jun 2017
Great house .. only in need of some needed maintenance. Air conditioner was cycling too much did not cool house down. Bottom oven did not reach temp. Water conditioner was loud at night keeping me awake in master bedroom. Suggest changing the charging time to day time hours. Great house layout!
For the majority of the year, the air conditioner does a good job of maintaining the heat. There will be times when the temperatures are unseasonably warm and the home may be warmer than usual. The appliance repair tech has repaired the oven. Thank you!
Regina T.Jun 2017
This property was absolutely gorgeous! My family and friends truly enjoyed the views, the hot tub, the hikes, and just enjoying the serenity of this beautiful property. Other than the few items that were not in working order everything else ran smoothly.
Andrew S.May 2017
Very nice home, great location. Great view. Hot tub is dirty but everything else is very nice.
Kristopher M.May 2017
Can't wait to return and stay with Vacasa again!
Laurel J.May 2017
Excellent location with a beautiful view. Lovely home. If you are a group of six - eight, I suggest bringing more toilet paper and dish soap. The supply left is not plentiful.
Rick F.Apr 2017
In a word, our stay was outstanding. The home was superb, upscale yet homey, immaculately kept with ample supplies, cookware, furniture and appliances. Very peaceful surroundings with a spectacular view (when we could drag the kids out of the theater room). It is a bit off the beaten trail, but that was exactly what we needed. The Columbia river and gorge, and our temporary pets (bunnies) were captivating.
Probably the best rental we have ever experienced. Thanks so much to the owners for allowing us to share their wonderful home!
Katie L.Mar 2017
Beautiful view. Wish that we could've used the fireplace. Great living area including the dining room, living room and kitchen. Overall great experience.
Patty K.Mar 2017
in general the house is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views and lovely atmosphere. drinking our morning coffee while overlooking the river and gorge was awesome and we all slept well in the house -- the bedding was good and very comfortable. However the dishwasher is rusty and due to the extremely soft water does not get the dishes very clean. The kitchen utensils were dirty and definitely not up to the standards of the rest of the home. In addition, the BBQ grill was disgustingly dirty and seemed to not have been clean in months! The location was further out than we expected so we were disappointed with the length of the drive back into Washougal. I would recommend you bring your own frying pan and a good knife if you plan to cook. also bring a sponge so you can wash your own dishes and not count on the dishwasher.
Canija W.Feb 2017
This home is AMAZING! A great place to go to get away from the world.
Beverly W.Dec 2016
Beautiful home and lovely surroundings!
Rachael H.Dec 2016
The house was beautiful, clean and full of light. We will likely come back again. We were a bit disappointed that the fireplace was non-functional. Bring flip flops for the trek to the hot tub. I also recommend cooking with the bottled water provided, as the water was cloudy and salty from the tap.
Marylyn R.Dec 2016
We had our family meet here for Thanksgiving - we had 8 adults and 3 toddler/babies. There was lots of room for all! We never felt cramped - the house is gorgeous. We had 5 people in the kitchen cooking at once and there was plenty of room! Could have used a couple more extra chairs for the dining table. There are pots and pans but could use more for a big dinner like we had. Also maybe some tupperware to store leftovers in. I had brought tin foil and saran wrap luckily - there was none in the house. there is a coffee maker there - total necessity! All in all though it was very fun and a nice place to stay. We even found puzzles for the kids to play with. I would rent this again in a heartbeat!!
Holly C.Oct 2016
Home is gorgeous and in very peaceful setting. We enjoyed the time we spent there.
Sonya W.Oct 2016
Ideal location, stunning views and a very lovely home! Perfect !!!!
Brandon S.Oct 2016
Wonderful house and overall experience. I would rent again and recommend to friends and family.
Karen R.Aug 2016
Highly recommend, beautiful house
Susie R.Aug 2016
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. It is perfect for 8 guests, lovely views over the Columbia River, well equipped, clean, comfortable beds, nice linens, nice bathroom amenities. There were a couple of glitches which Vacasa took care of and we would definitely return. Be sure to stroll down the road towards the river and take a drive along the river to White Salmon and Hood River - it's incredibly beautiful.
Laura J.Aug 2016
Amazing views, fully stocked kitchen, very clean and grounds kept up beautifully. We loved our stay! Plenty of space for 8 adults!
Kathleen P.Jul 2016
We enjoyed the house
Kristen K.Jul 2016
We held a small bachelorette party her for the weekend. This place was amazing, the view the house itself where just wonderful. Even if you live close by this is a great escape and it gives you the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful PNW.
Lots of hikes near by to explore, I wish we would have had time to do more than one.
I would rent this place again in a heartbeat!
Thank you again
Nina P.Jun 2016
I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay close to the Gorge, Vancouver, and Portland
Jennifer F.May 2016
Thus house is so beautiful. The setting was gorgeous. The master bath is a dream
Laurel J.May 2016
We had an annual gathering of girlfriends (our 27th year) and there were 8 of us and we loved the space. It's only about an hour's drive from Portland (airport) and the drive is lovely. The property is gorgeous and the view from the upper deck is breathtaking. Wonderful kitchen, great living room for lounging and reading, and the bedrooms have ample space. If you're there when the weather is warm, you'll want to spend your time on the decks or in the back yard. Amazing.
Cozette M.Apr 2016
Every 6-9 months my older daughters and husband try to meet somewhere in the US for a 5-6 day holiday. We try not to stay in hotels, but enjoy renting vacation homes. We had never been to the northwest so this was our target- Portland/Seattle. I wasn't sure if everyone would like staying remotely in a house on the lake. We all absolutely loved it. The house was beautiful, well maintained, the views were amazing. The house was large, comfortably furnished and the grounds were beautiful. I can't say enough! Thank you for the wonderful experience. It's a place that is hard to leave.
Jeni D.Apr 2016
We stayed at this beautiful home. Our group had 2 families with 3 young children (3 year old, 1 year old and a 6 month old) and we stayed 2 nights. It worked great for us! There was plenty to do at the house which worked great for nap times. we also adventured out to oneonta gorge and beacon rock. The view from the house was beautiful! Really liked being able to pay a little extra to get a late checkout time! Another plus was that there wasn't a huge list of things to be done before checkout (I've been to some with some pretty lengthy instructions)
Mala C.Apr 2016
great place to stay with family!
Roger B.Feb 2016
Just need entertainment info clearer. We're unable to use it.
Thank you for your review. We will provide instructions for the electronics as soon as possible. We hope to see you again!
Nikki B.Feb 2016
We were in the Portland area for a wedding and this house accommodated our family great! From my 2 year old nephew to my 90 year old grandma, this house was perfect. We had plenty of space and options for sleeping and my nephew had so much fun with the toys provided. We never even turned on the tv!! We all lamented that we weren't able to just hang out at the house more!! Thanks so much for letting us stay here!
Kelli A.Jan 2016
Great place to stay. Loved every minute of it.
Kate B.Jan 2016
We loved staying here! It was clean and comfortable. It has everything you could ever want, including a hot tub with a great view, comfortable furniture and beds, a movie room and a ping pong table. We want to come back in the summer to experience the outdoor fire pit and the horseshoes.
Ann F.Nov 2015
This is a lovely home that worked well for our two families over Thanksgiving. Great setting, nice layout with attractive furnishings. We had 4 adults and 4 kids with plenty of room and enjoyed our stay. But there are small details that frustrate - no cable, despite it being noted in the VRBO listing; no broom/dust pan to keep things tidy. No replacement garbage bags. No soap dishes near the sink so it's constantly falling in. No guest hair dryer. Any one of these isn't a big deal but they begin to add up. They haven't figured out the small details that make a stay go from pretty good to outstanding. The house is really lovely, though, and we'd recommend. Just bring every little extra you can think of. You'll enjoy the quiet scenery if you do. The Columbia is out the window.
Mary G.Nov 2015
The Tree House was a perfect location for our family get together. The house layout and location was supreme.
Amanda H.Oct 2015
This home was very beautiful. Very clean and had a beautiful view of the Columbia Gorge. Such a great place to come and relax and be a part of nature.
Aby A.Oct 2015
Had a short 2 day trip to Portland. Stayed in this location. It was real calm and nice place. Our heater was not working i called them up and they replaced with individual room heaters. There were not much items in kitchen even though they mentioned there will be necessary spices and stuff it was pretty much empty. So consider buying all necessary stuffs including salt for a good stay. There is a safe way near 10 miles from the place. The stay was real good.. Would love to come back.
Eric B.Jun 2015
The photos of this home don't due it justice. It's a brand new custom home, with timber beam construction & incredible views. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, with a pond, a bridge, gardens, a lawn and a horseshoe pit.
We didn't notice Multnomah Falls when we entered, but you can see it from the side of the living room towards the fireplace, or from the master bedroom.
Our only complaint was that the well water was a bit minerally - we didn't try the filtered water on the fridge, but bottled water might be worthwhile.
Thank you so much for sharing your review! It is fantastic to hear that you enjoyed the home so much and we absolutely agree that it is hard to do it justice with photos. Thank you for the feedback about the water. We actually installed a water dispenser which should make it so the water you drink is as refreshing as the views you take in.
