The cabin had everything we needed in a beautiful setting!

This was such a promising cabin with great views and it seemed that our vacation was going to be so perfect! However, I was quickly disappointed as I don't believe that this property is being maintained properly. It did not appear that the rugs in the living room had been vacuumed due to the amount of pet hair on the couch and the bedspread in the downstairs bedroom. I have a toddler who likes to play & put her stuffed animals on the floor so I had to vacuum the rugs, couch and the floors. Also, when we arrived there were kitchen towels and bath towels in the washer which smelled moldy, so I had to wash them. The washer also had a bad odor and looked like it could be sanitized due to what appeared to be mildew in the front part of the tub. In addition, the shower curtain had a horrible smell and needed to be replaced. There was a nice swing on the property that my Daughter was unable to use as there was no clear access or path leading to it. I was concerned that the area near the swing might have been infested with ticks, spiders, ants and other bugs. Lastly, I understand that this cabin is in the woods but there should be some type of ant control for the deck and interior of the house. On two separate occasions, black ants fell from the door frame when the front door was opened. Also, it was very disappointing and uncomfortable to find three live ants in the bathroom, one ant crawling on the couch and two ants crawling in upstairs loft bed while we were sleeping. I would rent this cabin again if the many problems were addressed

Great secluded location and charming lodge
Perfect to spend sometimes away from the crowd whilst been only 10 minutes driving from the lively Breckenridge
Ideal for pets and kids

Great location for all activities.

We had a wonderful 2week stay in this A frame cabin. Saw 2 moose one morning grazing in the woods. It was a very peaceful break from work. The kitchen is very well supplied.

Nice A Frame, very well stocked and just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Breckenridge. The neighbors had two pigs (not sure if they were the owners or renters) which made our stay less than enjoyable at times... But for the pigs, this was a great place.

My husband, myself and our 4yro dalmation had a wonderful time staying at the cabin in the woods. The cabin had everything you could need from cooking utensils, a grill for grilling outside, towels, sheets, laundry detergent, just like a home-away from home. The cabin was very clean. One of the best parts about the cabin was the fenced in porch. This was huge for our dog, he loved being able to hangout on the porch. We would definitely stay at the cabin in the woods again. Great location for so many attractions and dining.

This cabin was perfect for our week-long trip with 2 people and a dog. The location was great and it was the perfect combination of being near things but also being a bit isolated. I would definitely stay here again. One tip, though - just make sure you know how to use a wood burning stove :) We thought it would be pretty intuitive, but it took us a few tries to actually get it going.

This was a sweet place from which we launched our hikes each day. What a nice place to relax during the evenings, everything was super comfortable and well thought out. A couple simple suggestions to make guest's stays more convenient...
It would be nice to have local guidebooks on the area such as attractions, restaurants etc. It makes getting acclimated a bit easier. Since we likely won't be back to the area we left our hiking guide behind for others to use.

Even though it was CLEARLY stated, we missed the fact there is no furnace and it got chilly at night. The wood stove was awesome but perhaps more detailed instructions for the damper would be nice.

We LOVED the Lake Superior decor, it's our favorite midwestern vacation spot! Thanks so much for creating this relaxing space.

This house is absolutely adorable, and we had a fantastic time! We enjoyed cooking at home, and the kitchen included all the items you could possibly need. It is a very quick drive to Breckenridge and all that the cute mountain town offers. We loved enjoying nature and even saw three moose who lounged near the front deck of the home, in addition to the lovely starry nights. We have already been recommending this house to all of our friends - it is awesome!

Book what appeared as a very nice A-frame cabin for several days of a summer vacation near Breckenridge. Cool late summer weather (30's) had us wanting to turn on the furnace. But furnace gas had been turned off and was told by customer service that we would have to rely on the woodstove. Did not warm up the entire cabin. Dishwasher did not work. Icemaker and refrigerator did not work. Record player attached to the radio did not work. Notified customer service on many of these issues and never heard back from them. Probably would not recommend renting this cabin or renting from this agency for lack of customer support
Manager response:
We apologize that we were so slow to respond to these maintenance items. The woodstove has been added to the home's description so it does not surprise future guests; this is the only form of heat the owners use during their winter stays, and it keeps the cabin very warm. The dishwasher had an issue with the lock, but it has been fixed and the dishwasher is now working properly. The ice maker has been turned on so it is now making ice. The record player is still broken, and the owners have been notified so they can consider replacing it.

This cabin was the perfect place for our honeymoon. Very close to Breckenridge and hiking. The cabin itself was clean and charming. There are no mountain views from the cabin itself, but beautiful views are just a short drive away. Hope to come back with friends!

This A frame cabin is so sweet and cozy! It was perfect for me, my husband, our dog, our friend and her dog. When you walk in through the door, you immediately feel at home...a cozy living room that flows right into the kitchen. The kitchen is the heart of a home in most living spaces and it definitely is in this little cabin - home. The kitchen has upgraded appliances (the fridge is huge) and nice beautiful counters with plenty of space to prep your meals. (We stopped at city market (king soopers) and picked up food to grill). The Bathroom was roomy with nice counter tops and plenty of towels and wash cloths. Across from the bathroom is the tidiest laundry room with soap, dryer sheets and updated washer and dryer. The bedroom downstairs has a bed and area to put your clothes, 2 windows you can open for fresh air (yay for screened windows). The loft upstairs is super cute and cozy. It also has a writing desk. It may be a bit hot up there so there is a fan. The best part: the beautiful deck in front! Wonderful relaxing space for yoga, eating meals or just sitting around and taking in nature! Also, the doggies felt very much at home on the deck ?
Thank you for the great stay!

Plenty of bang for the buck with this little A frame located in the center of Summit County. Anything you need to cook and/or grill out is provided....but we ate out every meal anyway. Coffee maker, nice washer and dryer, comfortable beds, good shower, nice wood burner and plenty of wood - this place has all you need! The record player wasn't operable, which was a bummer since the homeowner has a really nice collection of records. Other than that there's not a single thing about this cabin that wasn't tip-top!

We really loved our weekend here. It's rare to find such a well-kept dog-friendly property and we would love to return again. It was relaxing to spend time on the front deck and watch the deer feed in the yard at dusk. The kitchen is beautifully done and has all the necessities, making it easy for us to cook most meals. The location is fantastic - very convenient to Breckenridge but away from all the fuss and noise of the resort. Highly recommended.

We are a married, childfree couple in our 40s who were seeking quiet and the feeling of completely getting away from it all. This cabin delivered! We thoroughly enjoyed our six-night stay in this immaculately clean, well-appointed cabin in the woods. For us to say "immaculately clean" is a big compliment, as we are neat freaks! The cabin had everything we needed and then some. It appears that the owner or management company thought of everything that travelers might need. Every night we returned to the cabin remarking that we felt like we were going home. It truly was a home away from home. The kitchen had everything needed to cook and clean up. The bathroom was fully stocked with nice towels, paper products, and toiletries - even bottles of lotion for sunburned skin. The beds and living room were comfortable. The laundry area was stocked with detergent pods, which was wonderful for washing a few clothes after long days in the mountains. The deck, which faces the back of the property and is mostly secluded from the neighbors, offered a lovely view. We even enjoyed wildlife sightings, the highlight of which was a large male moose who "hung out" with us for close to two hours one night. We were seeking a quiet getaway, and this cabin delivered. When we needed to be connected, the wifi worked well. There are some neighboring homes nearby, but they are far enough away that you still feel secluded in the woods (and everyone was silent near us all week). The main road is close by, and Breckenridge and all its activities are mere minutes away. Truly, this cabin was wonderful for us and a great value for the price paid. We highly recommend it to others.

We loved our stay here! It was super quiet, had gorgeous, high-end wood & tile floors, kitchen and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable-it was just the 2 of us and chose to sleep on the main floor; the stairs are pretty steep if there's a need to descend during the night. Definitely recommend- a 5 out of 5 place to stay.

A truly relaxing and comfortable cabin. We completely enjoyed our stay and will return when we can
Jameson M. Jun 2016
Close to good hiking and only 5-10 minutes from Breckenridge.

This house was the perfect size for my husband, husky, and I! The decor is unique and well done. Perfect new age cabin feel. The house was so clean when we arrived. The linens smelled like fabric softener so without hesitation I could relax on the couch(which was even freshly vacuumed). The kitchen is equipt with everything you would need and the grill worked great too!
The views leading out onto the deck were gorgeous. The deck was also convenient for having a dog that cannot be off leash since it can be fully closed off.
This house is more beautiful in person than in the pictures! We can't wait to go back!

This property is fantastic - well off the main road, and great mountain views. A small creek runs through the property, and the deck has a wonderful view of the sunset. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cookware, and there are plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. The large loft is wonderful - very comfortable bed. There is also a roomy bedroom on the main floor, with lots of shelving space. Wifi available and works well. Plenty of wood provided for the wood burning stove, which is easy to get a fire going in. Lots of wildlife in the area - thanks so much for sharing your wonderful cabin with us!
Jorin S. Aug 2015
This cabin was perfect for me, my wife, and our 3 year old son (and our dogs). Its about 5 minutes from Breckenridge and even closer to awesome trailheads like McCullogh Gulch and Spruce Creek. The cabin is well stocked with everything you need for a week away from it all.
Allison B. Aug 2015
Everything was really lovely. We enjoyed our stay. Only one recommendation... a contained fire pit on the back deck to enjoy the evening setting sun on chilly nights. :)
Mattie K. Jul 2015
The cabin is beautiful and in a wooded location separated from neighbors. It's in a great high area for sight seeing. Just what this Kentuckian wanted to see.
Robin B. Jul 2015
We loved this place. It's so close to town but feels so far away! Great view off the deck. Not a big mountain view but very pretty. We hiked spruce creek trail just a few minutes away. Great trails and saw a lovely waterfall too! Close to biking around Breck, breweries, great food and fun shopping. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great small cabin in the woods, south of breckenridge in blue river. Most rentals we've used in past have 1-2 towels, 1 roll of TP and no spices or oil. This cabin was above and beyond stocked well. More than enough plates and cups, spices (beyond s&p) and cooking oil . It really felt that a lot of care was put in to make the experience successful for both the guests and owners. We will definitely be staying here again.
