Gather with family and friends at the beautiful Rhododendron Retreat, where you'll have a large property that offers privacy, gorgeous woodland views, and plenty of sunshine and open sky for summer barbecues. Enjoy a recently remodeled kitchen (with double ovens and stainless steel appliances), as well as a cozy wood-burning stove to curl up to in one of the two living areas. Outside, the kids and the family dogs can spend hours playing in the backyard as the grown-ups enjoy time together on the wrap-around deck. Rhododendron Retreat is a place to make unforgettable vacation memories year after year.
The quiet town of Rhododendron is less than a mile from the house. Here at the gateway to Mt. Hood, you can grab a bite to eat, stock up on groceries, and catch the Mt. Hood Express bus to Government Camp and Timberline. Numerous hiking trails and the banks of the Zigzag River are within walking distance, offering plenty to explore all year round. During the snowy winter months, you can hit the slopes of Mt. Hood at Mt. Hood Skibowl (eight miles east), Timberline Lodge (15 miles east), or Mt. Hood Meadows (20 miles east).

*Please note that there is no central heating in this home. There is electric heating available throughout the living areas and bedrooms. The pellet stove starts quickly and easily with the push of a button and heats the main living area. And the wood stove provides the essence of mountain living – the crackling fire radiates so much heat throughout the house that all other sources of heat can be turned off. Complimentary wood and pellets are provided with each stay.
