This really is a fantastic place... clean and modern yet with a very homey feel. The kitchen is probably a high point- with a fully open front to back view.
If you have kids you’ll appreciate the toys already there- tons of LEGO and even a few outdoor things like frisbee.
Some comments were around lack of screens so I was a bit worried but there are many windows in the house that have screens. And the fans are excellent. 3 in the main area and one in each bedroom. We were there in a heat wave and wasn’t too bad. A screen on the sliding door may be good and a way to vent AC outside could help but really not bad at all.
This home offers a good environment for some much needed relaxation.

We had a great stay. The house was clean, comfortable and in a great location. Beautiful neighborhood!

This was a more than comfortable home for our family of 4! We enjoyed the serenity of the neighborhood, proximity to the village and trails (~2 miles), and open spaces indoors and out. The common spaces are great for gathering (& games, plenty of games!). The bedrooms are separate and each has its own bathroom which was a huge plus. The deck with hot tub was a nice perk to end the day! Spacious garage. I would suggest the owners add screens to the doors for fresh air without critters coming in. I also think the cleaners could have done a better job prior to us entering. There were items left behind the beds, trash not taken out, and disorganization in cabinets/drawers. Other than that, a great place to stay!
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Jaclyn. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and apologize for any disappointments. The property manager is retraining housekeeping using your comments so they will not be an issue for future guests, and we are discussing the possibility of screen doors with the owners. We hope to see you again!

Stayed here with my family and my parents and had a good time. There are definitely some highlights to this house that I wish all rental homes in the Lake Tahoe region would take note of, but there are also some things that I think this house was missing.

-Great hot tub. Fit 6 people comfortably
- layout of the house was nice. 3 bedrooms on 3 different levels
- lots of toys for the kids to play with. They didn’t have to play with the stuff that they brought
- kitchen was pretty well stocked. Had 90% of what we needed to cook a couple meals a day
- ceiling fans were some of the nicest ceiling fans I have ever seen in a rental.
- owner provided hand soaps, shampoos/conditioner, enough paper towels
- house is clean and newly remodeled with modern finishes

-Mattresses were not the most comfortable. We slept in the master and every time my wife shifted or moved, it woke me up. Same feed back from my parents who slept on the bottom floor. Kids had their own beds, but didn’t sleep well
- two of the ceiling fan remotes were on the same frequency, so when you hit the button on one, it would control both fans/lights.
- this house is great for the winter, but there is no central AC. The portable AC was nice until there was no where for the hot air to be blown out, so one side of the AC was blowing cold air, and the vent pipe was blowing hot air right back into the same room.
- no screens on most of the doors and windows. When we tried to cool off the house by opening the windows, we would get bugs in the house.
- stove was broken and we had to use pliers to turn the knob

Overall, this house is nice. Seems like the owners are a bit inexperienced still, but it’s no reason for someone not to stay here.

Manager response:
Hi, Sam! We appreciate receiving such a thorough review to work with! The fans are all the same make and model, so they do have the same remote; if you the remote is pointed at the fan you want, it will work for that individual fan. This home is not listed as having air conditioning, and you will find that is the norm in this area as most people do not find a need for it. The beds are brand new, so we are sorry to read they did not suit you. The stove has been fixed, and we do hope the temporary fix worked for you as we waited for the necessary part to arrive for repair. Thank you!
