The location is great. The cleanliness was great. The 4th bedroom however is NOT part of the main house. You have to go outside of the gated yard and down 13 shared steep stairs that are not covered (very snowy and icey when we were there) to a separate entrance to a second porch off which is a room with a bed. The room heat is 1 vent attached to the main house heat and it was very cold even when set at 70 degrees---we slept with 3 blankets and our down coat on top of us. The main house was also 52 degrees when we arrived and took 3 hours to warm to 68 degrees. The stoves are gas and not real wood stoves. The spiral staircase is cute, but beware it is not intended for non-thin persons or the elderly!
Manager response:
We appreciate your review of this beautiful property. We have asked the manager to review the listing for accuracy about the 4th bedroom. The heat and stoves have been inspected and are operating as intended. We hope we can host you again.

The view of the river and opposite bank were serene in the morning
The kitchen was as well appointed as any we have stayed at
The beds were good and the fireplace in the front porched made the cold outside a lingering thought

The home is beautiful. It's spaced out well so that even if you had a 6+ people, you'd still have privacy if you required. Less than a 10 minute drive north to the state park, and 15 minute walk into town. Would definitely stay again. The only blemish was that the river was so high we did not get a chance to enjoy the yard due to flooding, Obviously, this is nothing the owner could have addressed.

Nice, comfortable and well equipped home and kitchen. We enjoyed the beautiful view, especially from the enclosed sun room. Nice enclosed area out back door. Great location for an enjoyable walk Saugatuck shops and restaurants.
