As seen on House Hunters! Renovated cabin w/bocce & cornhole - walk to town/lake

Once featured on the hit HGTV show House Hunters (season 131, episode 4), this recently remodeled family cabin is beautifully tucked at the foot of towering evergreens in Shaver Lake. Here in the East Village - one of the town's most spacious, desirable, and private neighborhoods - you can spend your days out on the water and come home to play bocce and cornhole on the private 40-foot court. Light the gas grill and prepare dinner in the fresh mountain air, and spend your evenings gazing at the pristine night sky from the comfort of the front deck.

What's nearby:
This darling, 1,050-square-foot cabin is located on Aspen Road in the East Village of Shaver Lake, a five-minute stroll from the main village restaurants, bars, a market, cafes, and shops. The lakeshore and the Dorabelle Trailhead are within a 10-minute walk, allowing you to swim, fish, hike, and kayak with ease. If you do decide to use your car at all, you'll be a scenic 19-mile drive from the ski slopes of China Peak Mountain Resort. The natural wonders of Mono Hot Springs are 39 miles northeast, and the southern boundary of Yosemite National Park is 59 miles north.

The cabin was perfect for my family and very close to the lake, we will definitely book again. The propane bbq is still having issues but I read another review that mentioned it so I took lump charcoal for the side that allows it and it worked out.

The house was very cozy and clean. loved the open floor plan. Was easy to find and only a few minutes from stores and restaurants. Was a little warm but every room had a fan so that really helped. would definitely love to stay again.

Interior was well done, good lighting, nice bathrooms, nice flooring. Down sides are the propane BBQ didn’t work, and the kitchen didn’t have a good set of pots and pans (we cooked every night), and the dinner table was wobbly. The place needs new cookware.
Manager response:
Hi, Eric! We appreciate such helpful feedback. Maintenance will address the BBQ, and we will ask the homeowner about getting new pots and pans. Thank you!

Location is great. 15-30 mins walk to the lake depending on your physical condition. We’re very satisfied with how clean the house was when we arrived. We love the design since it is an open concept (personal preference). At first, we thought the fridge was not working since it was slow to cool our stuff. Overall, our experience was great!

Really nice place and very tranquil atmosphere. I only had two issues: gas grill didn’t work. We were unaware that the other side of the grill was for charcoal , so we had to go find a store to buy charcoal. The other issue is that I found two hairs on the king size bed. I get gross out when I find hair from other people. Over all it was a good experience.
Manager response:
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Jesus. We strive for a standard of excellence in ensuring the home is clean and accommodating for our guests. If there are any concerns or areas in need of additional attention, we hope to be notified so we can make sure any issues are addressed. We look forward to hosting you for a great stay in the future.

My family and I loved this cabin! It was very clean and inviting. The beds were very comfortable and the open floor plan made it very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this cabin and will be staying here again for sure!!:)

Very easy to book and everything went super smoothly. They were great about notifying us ahead of time about early check-ins and late check out availability. Location was super easy to find and on the plus side, we were literally down street from all the little stores and restaurants. Not to mention a good 1-2 minute drive from the lake. The house had everything that we needed; pots, pans, extra towels, sleds, shovels and so much more. They even provided Netflix and Disney Plus. The location isnt too far up so everyone still had great phone service. The only down side was the queen bed in one of the bedrooms was a bit uncomfortable but it was nothing a few extra pillows couldn't fix. Thank you for the great service! Will be booking again!
