We very much enjoyed our stay, the cabin is very rustic but with the required modern amenities. The view off the deck can't be beat. Close to everything you need with the privacy you want..
A charming old cabin with all of the modern conveniences. Wonderful location on the lake and close to Sandpoint. We especially loved the deck over-looking the lake and the dock where we watched the sun set. This place is perfect for a family. We are looking forward to our next visit and bringing our family.
My family of 6 stayed the weekend at the Mackinaw Getaway in Sagle. It was nice being right on the water and yet close to Sandpoint for all the great restaurants. Place is RUSTIC including the beds but would not deter me from staying again.
Very nice, log home on Pend Oreiille River. Very nice views. Modest yet very tastefully decorated. Worth a look for sure!!!!
Easy access to the highway. Loved the quilted bedspreads. Cute cabin for a short visit.
It would be five stars except the beds were a bit uncomfortable. The view is beautiful and the cabin is warm and inviting.
We had a beautiful honeymoon at the cabin!
This a nice place perfect location wonderful view, that deck is great kitchen is nice! The house was being cleaned when we arrived a bit early, smelled of beer, when we returned it was very clean with no smell. Great crew! I hope to stay again love my hometown.
This cabin's location, size, and cleanliness was great. Water access was good as long as you don't mind having to tie your boat up to buoy away from the dock. The interior of the house was extremely clean. There was a BBQ on site. I am giving this a 3 star because the beds and furniture were so uncomfortable. I would rate cleanliness and location a 5star but beds/furniture a 1-2 so compromised with a 3. The house was actually larger than I was expecting which was great!
We were very a comfortable group of seven and we enjoyed the location, accommodations, and the decor in this cabin on the shores of lake pendorielle. A Great value compared to other sandpoint options for such a large group.
We decided to get out of town for Memorial Day weekend and had a great experience at this property. The area is very peaceful and comfortable (exactly what we were looking for). The entire family had a great time (ages 5-73 so something for everyone). We would certainly stay here again.
Perfect place to stay while skiing at Schweitzer Mountain Resort!
Mackinaw Getaway is the most amazing.
We loved staying at this charming, cozy and eclectic cabin on the lake. You could tell that the cabin had a long history, with it's interesting and antique furnishings. It has a beautiful view of the lake and mountains in the distance, and it is very quiet/peaceful-but you can hear the whistles of the trains in the distance. We were very comfortable and felt right at home. We had everything we needed, and were close to the Schweitzer ski resort and Sandpoint where we enjoyed the restaurants. Trish from Vacasa was very helpful and immediately available when we had a couple of questions. We would love to stay here again, and highly recommend it.
We enjoyed being close to Sand Point and having all the conveniences of home. The kitchen is well equipped, the towels in the bathrooms are plush and the place was super clean.
We have rented 4000 sq ft+ homes, professionally decorated, but The Mackinaw Getaway was an eclectic adventure. It was fun discovering new sketches or maps or paintings in the various rooms. The vintage decor was a reprieve from new items picked up at Hobby Lobby or some not so great home decor place that is typical for a rental. Thank you for keeping the character of the cabin by not adding north west animals and such.
This century-old log cabin has the feel of a well-loved family retreat. It is filled with antiques - from the beds and furniture to many of the kitchen items. Yet it is also contains modern conveniences.
There is one older bathroom with a claw foot tub, and a newer one with a walk-in shower stall. There is a wood burning stove in the older kitchen, and a modern stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher in the newer kitchen. There's a flat screen TV and Wi-fi, and shelves full of old books on dozens of interesting topics.
Our multi-generational family loved the ambiance, location, and comfort of this unique vacation retreat. It was spotlessly clean upon our arrival, and equipped with everything we could possibly need for a pleasant week-long stay.
The location was convenient to Sandpoint, yet felt so private and "away from it all". Hearing the train whistle from across the lake was such a welcome change from city sounds.
Thank you, Vacasa and the owners of the Mackinaw Getaway for making it available to us.
We were in the area for a soccer tournament. This place was within close proximity but still far enough to feel relaxed. We enjoyed BBQ on the big deck, morning swims off the dock and beautiful views of the lake and sunsets. Will definitely return
We had a wonderful time--very clean/well stocked/plenty of room for all/would love to rent again in the future (bring movies as there is a tv but no channels) have recommended this cabin to a close friend
Wonderful! Our only regret was that we could not stay longer.
The view was great. The property was clean and well stocked. the only complaint was the old uncomfortable furniture in the sitting areas.
Great location, very cozy and comfortable!
This was a great rental, clean and well kept up. The only thing is that it needs plates for eating. Excellent location and super funky.
