This Colorado vacation rental keeps friends and family active and comfortable all visit long.
The location of this place is great, lovely view! Big and spacious, plenty of room to spread out. A little hard to find, even with the directions provided by the owner, but once you figure it out the first time, you're good to go. The kitchen had most of the equipment you'd need to cook, but plan to shop pretty heavily upon arrival - the pantry staples are light and pretty sparse. As mentioned in other reviews, we killed many large spiders during our stay. Granted, you're tucked into the mountains, so it's probably to be expected, but just be prepared for that. The TV was a little difficult to operate, but once we got it going, it was fine. Ask for the code for the extra key lockbox ahead of time. At one point, we thought we got locked out & the code for the extra key hadn't been provided ahead of time. Also, as other people mentioned, there was a lot of dust in various areas & smashed spiders here and there. I'd stay again, but the rental could possibly use some deep cleaning and stocking of kitchen staples for the price of the rental.
Rebecca, we are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We will be sure to pass your comments regarding the dust and spiders along to our local manager who will ensure the cabin is up to our standard. The backup lockboxes are for our operations and housekeeping staff, and we do not provide those codes to guests. However, in the event of a lockout, our guest services agents are available 24/7 to assist you. We look forward to hosting you again!
I loved that is was so quiet and away from town.
Awesome cabin. Wonderful steam shower, kitchen, and just a great space. A few of the lights were not working inside - and the master bed was a bit on the stiff side (as previously noted by other guests). Would definitely return again though. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Great place, very comfortable
The cabin feels secluded. We enjoyed watching 4 deer eating right outside the windows one morning. The Murphy bed was the most comfortable, the others were hard in our opinion. If you like a soft bed you might want to bring your own memory foam topper or something. That's what we plan to do on our next trip. We really enjoyed our stay.
My husband and I stayed in the cabin the night of our wedding and the night after to have a little "getaway" in the gorgeous mountains before our honeymoon! It definitely did not disappoint. The patios view was AMAZING and we couldn't have been more pleased with the cabin! Such a short drive to winter park and fraser but far enough away! We will definitely be back!
Well stocked and furnished with great views. The best part: how wonderfully tucked away it felt. Would definitely recommend staying here if you enjoy a quiet rural atmosphere.
The cabin was a beautiful home. A great view. An awesome place for family. We like to move around to different areas but we may have to go back here again.
My family of 4 enjoyed the cabin. Nice view out the back window; very little traffic; lots of wildlife with deer looking in the windows early mornings; comfortable beds; nice kitchen and bathrooms. My girls killed more than a dozen spiders, so it might be good to spray. We also enjoyed the tire swing and the many trees available for using our hammocks. Would definitely stay again given the opportunity.
Beautiful open home with wonderful views. Beautifully decorated and very clean. All the comforts you need. We had a family of 6 and fit just fine. Daniel from vacasa was great and helpful when we needed him!
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay. House is beautiful and well kept and the view out the back windows is amazing.
This place is simply amazing. Beautiful views so much convenience. Absolutely in love with this place. The perfect friends/siblings vacation.
We enjoyed this homes location most. Close to the grocery store & restaurants and just a short drive to Winter Park. Two tubing hills just down the street that we enjoyed as well as sledding in the back yard. It was a great visit, we would definitely come again!
We (4 adults and 3 children) stayed in this cabin Feb 27-Mar 3, 2018. This is really great property. It has all the appliances including small kitchen appliances, dishes, cups, cutlery, etc. Clean and well maintained. The house has great mountains view. It's very accessible within 10 minutes drive to Fraser and 20 minutes to Winter Park. Fraser Tubing Hill has the best snow tubing. Grand Adventures offers mini-snowmobiles for kids. Lots of fun for them. Hernando's Pizza Pub has the best pizza in the area. The city of Winter Park has a park (across the road from McDonalds) where you can slide (tube) for free. We all enjoyed our stay a lot!
Beautiful cabin with a spectacular view. Our kids loved the toy train and track. Upstairs play area and bunk room gave our kids plenty of space indoors when they weren’t outside playing in the snow. Kitchen was well set up and supplied. The steam showers was wonderful after a day in the snow. Cabin was a little tricky to find. Our GPS was wrong but the directions we received from Vacasa led us right to the cabin.
Very convenient place with family !!!
Fun home for a group of six to eight. Our family stay was so much fun! Somewhat secluded area so at least ten minutes to Fraser.... and over fifteen minutes to Winter Park. The large windows and views were amazing especially at night with a full moon! The steam shower was a hit especially after taking a run and a full day of slopes. The kitchen has most amenities and is fully functional. We cooked our meals every day without difficulty just make sure to bring your groceries/spices.
This house is in a great area which provides privacy, quiet and amazing views. We loved the house, big windows and nice amenities. We will definitely return for another visit!
We loved staying in the beautiful home. It was comfortable with fantastic views!
clean, nice layout, perfect for familes
Our family very much enjoyed our trip to Fraser. This property was exactly as pictured and exceeded our expectations. We loved the location close to the northwest passage way trail and it was close enough to town to be convenient, yet still felt secluded in the woods. Perfect combination. We saw deer from the dinner table after dinner the last night of our stay. We would definitely consider staying at this property again!
Very quiet surroundings with beautiful views! Close to attractions!
We loved staying here and look forward to renting the cabin again in the future!
Off the beaten path - very relaxing place.
We have 4 active boys so the bunk beds were great and he outdoor space was awesome! They played for hours in the snow with out us having to leave the cabin. wr cuddled by the fire and watched movies at night. Kitchen was well stocked. We all loved the steam shower! Easy access to town and activities. We would rent this cabin again!
This home is just as advertised and has fabulous views from the kitchen, dining and den areas. There are no other homes blocking the views and it seems like you are in a remote location.
We really enjoyed our stay here.
Loved the location and conveniences. The local grocery store is only 3 minutes away but, very expensive. Close to skiing. Loved our snow mobile ride up the Continental Divide with Great Adventure. The house was clean and private. Bed was comfortable. Absolutely loved the steam shower. Would definitely return. If I had to complain about anything it would be the difficulty getting the satellite to work and the heating system could not be controlled. Very warm in the house so that we couldn't even use the gas fireplace it was so warm. Had to actually open the sliding doors a few times to cool the house down. When the afternoon sun hits those back windows it really got warm and you can't see the television.
This place was awesome! Inside is brand new timber framed home. As one other reviewer said, the pictures don't do it justice!
Only issue that we had is its kind of hard to find. Even though the address says CR 5001 its actually on CR 50.
Great place and great value!
Wonderful home. Very well kept, clean, roomy, etc...no complaints at all and would recommend highly
This cabin is in a beautiful location. Our only big issue was that the kitchen was poorly stocked. Typically people who rent cabins intend to cook most or all meals at the cabin, and this was difficult given the lack of supplies. Otherwise a great place though!
One of the best locations at this locale. Architecturally balanced, bringing nature within the internal space.
My husband, two daughters, and I traveled from Syracuse ,NY. We planned this trip last minute and this cabin made our trip magical. The house was very clean, modern, spacious and comfortable. The girls loved the back yard, the loft and the bunk room. Having two full baths was great. The washer and dryer allowed for much lighter packing. There was no need for AC in August. The kitchen was beautiful, big and extremely well equipped. We enjoyed the amazing playground at the Fraser Rec area down the road and we walked the Northwest Passage Trail, which is very close to the cabin. Fraser was great for supplies and grocery. Winter Park was fun for shopping. The Rocky Mountain National Park was amazing. We hope to rent this cabin in the future.
Lovely home, clean, quiet, comfortable. Our family had a blast, the kids loved the loft, tons to do inside when it rained, quiet, you feel very secluded and there are no neighbors on top of you. We enjoyed our week and would come again.
The house was wonderfully secluded and yet just minutes away from restaurants and shops. Immaculate with great finishing touches and extra amenities like a steam spa in the shower? Truly a lovely house! We loved it andhope to stay again!
Beautiful views, great location to summer activities
Our family of five stayed in the Fraser cabin from 7/5-7/9 and had an overall wonderful vacation in Colorado. This is a lovely cabin, and we felt we had plenty of room for five. The cabin was clean, and the surrounding views were beautiful! The town of Fraser is great , and there were plenty of fun adventures close-by for our family to enjoy during our vacation. There are few things, however, that future renters should be aware of:
I was unaware that there was no AC in this rental, otherwise I would not have considered staying in July. Although I'm sure this is a non-issue in other seasons, it was quite hot and stuffy in the cabin, especially during the day (as it got up to the 90ies during our stay). It did not cool down in the cabin until late at night. For potential renters in July and August, be aware that there is currently no AC and it will be hot during the day, and will likely not cool down until late at night.
When we arrived, there was a sign on the dryer that it was not working. Of course we understand that things like this happen, but when I reported it upon check-in (7/5), I received no response. I was expecting that someone would be out to fix the dryer at some point during our four-night stay, or at least respond to my email or text. We were there for five days, and we all packed lightly assuming we would be able to wash/dry the clothes we brought, which did not happen. Hopefully the dryer was fixed for the next renters.
Lastly, on our last night in the cabin, the upstairs loft and bedroom were infested with biting gnats. I understand that there are a lot of insects (being that this cabin is surrounded by nature) but when we were trying to get the kids to bed, all of the bunk-beds and the Murphy bed were swarming/covered with gnats on the sheets. We looked for bug spray, and only found Off (which did not help much). Our daughters had to sleep on the couch, and we had to put our son in the bed with us downstairs.
Overall, this is a beautiful rental. Check in and out went smoothly, but we were disappointed in the lack of communication with management due to the issues above.
We are sorry to see that there were some disappointments with this stay. The home is not advertised as having air conditioning, and we are very sorry for any confusion there. The dryer broke the day of this guest's arrival, and the replacement was coming from Denver, so it did take some time. We have not had any issues with bugs before in the home and will be sure to keep an eye out on the situation.
Nice house and very peaceful but the issues with the reservations made for a disappointing trip. We lost a whole day to the misinformation I received. But there property as a whole was clean, spacious and peaceful with nice views.
My family & I will definitely stay here again.
My girlfriend and I loved being in the mountains and it felt like we had the whole area to ourselves for the 2 days/nights we stayed. The fireplace was a great touch and everything was pristine. I could have slept forever in the bed but we had to get out and enjoy some great hikes nearby. Perfect end to a great vacation.
Highly recommend this vacation home! We hope to stay again!
My husband and I wanted to have a relaxing, quiet getaway weekend and we sure got it. The views out the back are spectacular. Everything was clean and lovely. I would recommend bringing specific spices and cooking ingredients as there wasn't much in the spice cupboard, but plenty of everything else. Thanks so much!!
Great trip!! I cant think of anything that could have made it better.
We loved everything about this beautiful home. Radiant flooring, steam shower, granite counters and phenomal views! We can't wait to return.
This cabin is absolutely gorgeous! The outside of this property does not do it justice! When you walk inside it is a cozy luxury oasis. It is very close to the town of Fraser CO and about 15/20 minute drive to winter park! Perfect for a family or a few groups of fews to stay and spend the weekend in a remote cabin. It has tons of space and 2 full bathrooms, gorgeous views, and is extremely clean. We all loved this cabin and hope to come back in the summer and head up to Grand Lake!
My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful "cabin". The moment we opened the door we were both awestruck! The windows, high ceilings, comfort, amenities, location, we cannot say enough!!! ENJOYED EVERY SECOND!!!! Very difficult to leave!!! We plan to return!!! Cannot wait!!!
this place was perfect for us. Our young boys spent more time outside than inside, however, the inside is gorgeous. Don't know why the owners didn't make the outside more attractive, but don't be fooled. this place is a couple of years new and everything inside is new and clean with all the conveniences of home. Downtown Frazer is about a 7 minute drive and Winter park about another 7 to 10 minutes. If we come back to Fraser next summer we are staying here again.
My wife and I wanted a quiet place to relax and get away from work for a week, and we weren't disappointed with this cabin. Cabin was very well stocked, clean and close to everything. Also, we brought our bikes and took advantage of the easy trails and nearby roads that provided great views all around. We can't wait to come back next year!
A beautiful location for a family vacation! We would like to visit again!
The house is great and had a lot of nice touches such as a train set for kids to play with, laundry, and pretty much everything you'd need in the kitchen. The view is great and the large open living room / dining room provided plenty of space for our two families. Overall the experience was great. A couple of suggestions for future improvements: 1) Blinds or drapes to cover the lower window. The huge windows are great for views but in the afternoon the sun is very bright / glaring and really heats things up. We ended up rigging a blanket to cover the window in the hottest part of the day. 2) There was no place to dump full sacks of garbage outside. 3) No deck or patio outside to sit and sip coffee in the morning (can't really complain, though, as the inside of the house was very nice). Overall I'd highly recommend if you area looking for a place to stay near Fraser / Winter Park.
Had four nights at this home and enjoyed every minute of it. The wi-fi worked great. The beds and furniture were all comfortable and sturdy. Never figured out the TV/Dish Network but I didn't try that hard. The steam shower was fantastic and added to the relaxation theme I was going for. Every amenity was provided. I can't think of a thing that I would change.
A group of our college friends all gathered for some restful time away, the house was perfect, beautifully placed around the mountains and wild flowers. The cabin was very clean and comfortable we felt right at home! Way exceeded our expectations , can't wait to return!
Loved it! Will definitely go back!!
