There was nothing to not love about this house. It was clean, well decorated and had everything we could need. The ride was definitely jarring for those of us who have never been to the mountains but the house made it worth it. We had a private chef come cook for us and the kitchen was perfect for him to use. The view of the river and all of the beautiful porches were a hit for our group! We had a blast and were truly saddened to leave!

This was definitely a nice vacation. We loved the creek and fishing. Cabin is roomy and clean. It was kind of difficult to get to, GPS gets you in there aways though, would not want to pull in at dark. We also had some issues with the gate code as did others. They responded back to me quickly though, but would recommend getting that fixed. Only major complaint is the little black flies in the cabin in the kitchen and even bathrooms, not sure where they're coming from, maybe sink? Would recommend this cabin and would stay there again, maybe during summer so we can enjoy the creek better.

Customer service is top notch, property is absolutely incredible and in one of the best locations, caught trout from the stream right next door to our outdoor fire. Highly recommend for any weekend or week long get away, just make sure you pack all of your groceries because you will not want to leave.

This was a beautiful cabin with 3 stories and 3 bathrooms which was great for our guests. It was perfectly clean when we arrived. It came with everything we needed and we did not have problems. It was deep in the mountain and hard to get to, but the hand directions we were given got It us there. We were sent two gate codes but one of them was right. Everyone loved this gorgeous cabin!

The house was amazing. Everything was perfect! Except getting there lol. Just try to get there before nightfall.

It was so spacious, had everything we needed. RIGHT On the water. Only thing is the hot tub was broken. Wish we'd known before hand. Other than that, it was amazing
Manager response:
Chasity, thank you for your review. We sincerely apologize that the hot tub was not working during your stay. Our local manager is addressing the hot tub issue with the owner. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

Absolutely loved the home and the property! Very peaceful sitting by the river, on the porch looking at or listening the river, and the view from inside the home! Plenty of space! Only complaint is that it is HARD to get to! The directions can be difficult to follow, and do not use your GPS once on the property. I would recommend the owners do a video driving in and showing exactly where to turn at each turn. LOVELY place and we will more than likely be booking again! Especially now that we know how to get to the property. Drive cars with 4-wheel drive or front wheel drive only.

Vacasa gave us the wrong codes to get in the house. By reading the book of reviews, so did the previous renters who stayed in the home. House overall is great. Vacasa and the homeowner need to communicate. They don’t have the right lock box code or gate code. They keep saying the lockbox by the door, there was not a lockbox by the door. Looks like one use to be there... don’t know how long it was gone. We couldn’t get anyone on the phone with Vacasa... took us and hour and half before a representative picked up. We had to drive back to town a 15 min drive., because we had no cell service. It took us overall 3 hours before we got in. Wasn’t a great welcoming that’s for sure! We had to put batteries in the remotes. Fire alarm started beeping... battery was going dead in it too. They need to clean in the coffee table, there were crackers and crumbs inside. Vacasa should refund some of their fees to the owner.... they’re not that great! Even the people staying next door received the wrong code for the house. When we buzzed to get into the gate... we told the guy they gave us the wrong code, he laughed. Happens a lot!
Manager response:
Hi, Paula! We appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your stay and apologize for the inconveniences you experienced. The lock box has been taken down at this time, so guests are being directed to the back up lockbox. The gate codes are generated by the resort, and we do have to call them frequently to get our guests in. We are sorry this has been such a nuisance. The batteries in the alarms have been changed out, and we have reminded housekeeping to check the coffee table. Thank you!

I have mixed feelings on this house.

First about the house. For the most part is was super clean. The dish washer had dirty dishes and the oven had old nasty burnt bacon on the cookie sheet. They kitchen needed lots of new supplies to make it a stocked kitchen. You are truly in the middle of no where and a fully stocked kitchen would have been nice because you don't want to leave to go out to eat. Thank goodness we brought a big pot with us otherwise we would have been out of luck. The fireplaces do not work and say they are out of order. That did not matter to us much b/c it was nice warm weather in late May. I would have been super sad if it was in winter months. Make sure you bring your own fire wood for the fire pit. The hot tub was clean but the top looked really beat up. Other than that the River, house and surroundings were peaceful and quite. (we had some loud neighbors with music but it was not bad if you set on the side porch off the bedroom).

The River is wonderful our kids had a blast playing in the water and walking up stream and tubing down river, the fire pit and chairs are clean and nice. We spent most of our time down by the river.

As for the management company. I would never under any circumstance rent a house that was managed by them. When we arrived an hour past check-in the lock box code did not work. I proceeded to sit on hold with the company for 45 minutes until I reached someone who then called me back 15 minutes later with a new code to get in the house. We emailed, text, DM on Twitter, reached out to the COO, CEO and CFO about getting in the home. There is no direct person you can reach. We finally found a window that was open and able to get in that way. We called about getting new bowls and such for the kitchen but never heard back. They are absolutely the worst to work with. If you ever see VACASA as a management company I would turn the other way.
You will need 4-wheel drive or AWD to reach the place.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Sarah! The fireplace on the deck is out-of-service, and the indoor fireplace is off until October. The pots and pans have been replaced, the lock box has been replaced, and the hot tub cover is replaced. Please note the property manager provides her direct contact information inside the cabin for guest use. We hope to see you again!

This cabin was awesome! We enjoyed the sounds of nature, there were so many deer you couldn't count them ,the jacuzzi tubs were amazing kitchen was stocked with supplies to use plenty of towels, plenty of room to sleep 12. 3 bathrooms,We had 8 people and still had room. The kids loved our nature trail walks and the game room. They have a house phone which is good because reception is zero to none unless you go by the creek. Fyi...Verizon works best, tmobile worked a little bit and at&t was no service)(Needed a little bigger heater down stairs). The firepit was so awesome by the creek,( buy or find your own wood-not provided)The outdoor fireplace hasn't worked in years (according to past guests) disappointed because it would've been great for nighttime games or family time, instead we had cold weather and an unused huge porch. The outside spa needs work, top is horrible doesnt stay too hot. The inside fireplace is turned on by a switch at the bottom, pretty but does not provide alot of heat. Directions are wrong ,very difficult to find but once you get there it gets easier. GPS was wacky kept taking us wrong roads, read the little poles with street names on them, follow directions. We recommend 4x4 very steep hills gravel roads, some of the road was flooded temporarily alot of rain, you can still drive thru it but a little scary. Wifi is very weak! Slow and vacasa provided wrong user and password .We found the correct one ( look on bottom of router) . There are no curtains or blinds in living room and alot of windows, beautiful during the day but creepy at night( pitch black lol) Overall we made memories to last a lifetime. We stayed during the covid-19 pandemic so we spent a lot of time with family, disconnected from the world ( as best we could) and enjoyed our time in our cozy cabin! Thank you for sharing your beautiful, huge cabin with us! With minor upgrades we would stay again, maybe in the summertime sp we could jump in the fast moving water!
