Spacious home w/ views of the Moab Rim & La Sal Mountains - year-round activity!

Moab Mountain House is a three-acre private retreat nestled at the foot of the La Sal Mountains. It is surrounded by mature pinon and juniper shrub forest, making it an ideal getaway for rest and relaxation. From the gorgeous covered deck, look one direction towards the Moab Rim. From the garden patio, enjoy views of Mount Tukuhnikivatz. During all seasons, you are close to hiking, biking, rafting, climbing, and off-road adventures. In spring/summer, the house offers peace and serenity from busy Moab weekends and stays cool with slate floors and a swamp cooler. During winter, radiant floor heat keeps the house cozy while backcountry skiing and snowshoeing are at your doorstep. The house features an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, a well-equipped kitchen, a garden patio barbecue, unbeatable sunset views off the deck, and surrounding acreage to explore. Enjoy bunnies, birding, and mule deer feeding in the evenings and mornings amidst native wildflowers and oriental poppies in the spring.

Please note:
1. At times, cell service may be spotty and internet service may be slow due to the remoteness of this home (a perk, for many!). Free national landline calls are available for your convenience.

2. Access to the “sunroom” bedroom is through the master bedroom or through a side door on the deck. In other words, people sleeping in the sunroom will need to walk through either the master bedroom or exit via the deck to access the rest of the house. This arrangement is excellent for families or close friends, but may not be as desirable for groups who are seeking three “fully private” bedrooms. Please keep this in mind as you book.

3. Outdoor video surveillance cameras monitor the exterior entrance/front driveway of this home.

4. The property manager and pest control may visit during your stay for exterior grounds care.

5. A AWD/4WD vehicle is required in the winter months (November through February) due to the steepness of our driveway with potential for snow/ice accumulation.

6. Strictly prohibited:
- Pets of any kind
- Pull-behind trailers, RVs, or any vehicle longer than 15 feet (restricted by our neighborhood alliance)

A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

What’s nearby:
- Minutes from Pack Creek Picnic Area, Ken’s Lake, Geyser Pass/Manti La-Sal National Forest/Winter Recreation Area.
- 15 minutes to Downtown Moab for shopping, dining, groceries, and art gallery tours.
- 30 minutes to Arches National Park
- 50 minutes to Castle Valley, Fisher Towers, Newspaper Rock, Canyonlands National Park, and Dead Horse Point State Park

This cabin offers some of the finest sunsets I have had the privilege of seeing. Even had a wonderful moonset in the early morning hours.

this house is adorable but the view is one of the most spectacular i have ever seen. there is not a single human created structure in vision and the sunsets are absolutely amazing, breathtaking. We extended the house for 4 days just so we can enjoy more sunsets.
the owner sent over vacasa though bc we moved furniture from the outside. i found that to be very inappropriate. but the vacasa manager was very sweet.

The view and deck, on 3 acres and close to nature. Beds, linens and house decor were cozy and relaxing

Nestled at the base of the La Sal mountains, the Moab Mountain House is surrounded by a pinyon juniper forest filled with all sorts of birds, bunnies, and deer. On the first morning of our stay, I saw a coyote. Off the front deck are beautiful views of the Moab Rim, a beautiful spot for sunsets, and off the back patio you are views of the La Sal mountains. The house sits on three acres of land, and you couldn't hope for a more secluded property so close to the bustling town and two stunning national parks (Arches and Canyonland). Moab Mountain House is comfortably furnished with a number of traditional pieces and a few antiques--quite a pleasant change from many of the homes where we have stayed which are full of Ikea furniture. Having a garage to park in is a real perk during the warm days of summer. We absolutely loved this sanctuary away from city living!

This house was exactly what we were looking for in a vacation home away from home. The location was one of the best parts, as it is about 20 minutes from Moab and the desert as well as within a mile of the National Forest and a short drive to the mountains. It is in a small neighborhood but feels very secluded as the property is several acres. We saw deer right behind the house almost every day, and we spent most of our time at home sitting on either the front or back deck. There are great views down towards the rim on one side (perfect for sunset) and the mountains on the other side. Pretty much everything we could have ever wanted for our trip was in the house, including extensive kitchen items, coolers for picnics, water bottles, first aid, cleaning supplies, extra blankets and towels, and even books about birds and wildflowers in Utah. The only negative was that the dishwasher didn’t work while we were there, but there was dish soap provided so it didn’t affect us too much. The decor was a little outdated, but overall I would love to stay here again if I return to Moab in the future.
Manager response:
Hi, Taylor! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay here. We have an appliance repair tech. scheduled to inspect the dishwasher. Thank you for choosing Vacasa!

We loved this house! It was light and airy with beautiful views out every window. The view to the Moab Rim in the morning with coffee was spectacular.
