After a day on the slopes, there is nothing better than cozying up next to the fire or taking in the beautiful view while soaking in the hot tub on the deck! The vaulted ceilings are as high as the Rockies and let in an incredible amount of light to show off the beautiful woodwork throughout the home. After you have warmed up a bit and gotten out of your snow-covered gear, shower in the remodeled bathroom and then relax on the couch for some well-earned TV or reading time. To warm the bones, whip up a bowl of homemade soup and recharge for another day of adventure!
Winter Park Resort is about five miles south and features 3000 acres and 3000 feet of vertical spread over 166 marked trails. In the summer, take the gondola up the mountain to enjoy the vistas or head on a hiking trail. Let the kids have a race on the alpine slide with plastic sleds that speed down the mountain on concave concrete lanes. Take a stroll down the Frasier River Trail where you will be led right through downtown Winter Park. If you are lucky, you may also catch a glimpse of moose, deer, and other wild critters. If you brought your pole, it never hurts to try your luck on the Fraser River just three and a half miles away.
