The living room was beautiful, with comfortable couches and an open floor plan. However, our concerns were significant:
- the upstairs master suite is beautiful when the wind isn't blowing. If the wind is above 10mph, the construction of it is such that everything creaks at a very high volume and we had to sleep on the couch.
- the pellet stove wasn't working
- the kitchen faucet had no hot water and very little water pressure in the cold water
- the "instant hot water" was broken - it created boiling water, but the mechanism was broken so that you could easily burn yourself
- the lighthouse on the deck had no "off" switch - had to remove the light bulb to eliminate the bright light at night.
Hi, Krista! We appreciate you letting us know about your stay. We are taking care of the hot water and insta-hot and will leave the bulb unscrewed in the lighthouse feature so as not to interfere with the night sky. Thank you!

We had a great stay over a very stormy weekend at Windsong Cove. This could be a 5-star property, but there are a few things that could be improved upon, some of which have been pointed out by other visitors. The main thing is that there needs to be a solution to the very bright lighthouse that comes on when it gets dark. A switch, a dimmer bulb, frosted glass, mirrored glass... it's probably possible to fashion a homemade solution, but it would be nice if there was a permanent one. The second was how long it took to get hot water in the kitchen. I'd suggest installing a recirculating pump there because it is so far from the water heater. Finally, the upstairs walls and/or roof got to be really creaky and noisy while the wind was blowing. It didn't bother me, but my husband decided to sleep in another room because it was keeping him up. Plan accordingly when picking bedrooms if you are sensitive to noise.
All that being said, I've stayed at a lot of beach properties and this is by far one of the best. Really, the views can't be beat, the living room couches were exceptionally comfortable, the heat seemed to work great throughout, the kitchen was nice and large, and it was nice to have king beds. We would definitely come back!
Thank you for staying with us, Kristin. We are glad you enjoyed this home and we appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement. We will follow-up with our local team to address any areas of needed attention, and we hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

Windsong cove was a great place to stay. Nice big rooms, large kitchen with everything and a great view. No access to the beach, but its a short drive. The beds were really comfortable and everything was clean and nice.
There are only three problems: The little lighthouse on the deck stays on all night and shines into the windows. We put a garbage bag over it but it blew off. This should be turned off. Also, when the wind was blowing the exterior siding on the outside of the upstairs bedroom creaked so loudly we had to wear earplugs. The heater was very confusing and we couldnt get it off its programmed setting which was not warm enough.
Thank you for staying at the Windsong Cove during your Netarts getaway! Awesome to hear that you had a comfortable, clean stay with excellent views. We are sorry for any inconvenience experienced due to the little lighthouse, exterior window siding, and heater. We truly strive to provide the best guest experience that we can and will be in communication with our local operations for resolve. Thank you for taking the time to leave this review and feedback and we hope for the opportunity to host future adventures!

Very clean and comfortable spot. Loved our time here. Lots of deck area to sit out and enjoy the view. Kitchen is well equipped with pans and utensils also. I would have given it 5 stars but the third bathroom is in between and garage and the hot tub area so not very accessible.

Nice house, very clean with comfortable beds and a beautiful view. My only complaint was that the kitchen was a little oddly stocked and lacked some basics for cooking

The location was wonderful. More than we expected in many ways. Unfortunately our stay was unexpectedly amid the local fires. We did get a chance to see and enjoy the waters edge on our last day. Our hearts are heavy for those who live in this area. We do plan to come back! Hopefully better nature conditions!

My spouse and I enjoyed 5 days over the 4th of July weekend together with our 20 year old son, our daughter and her husband. This house is located on a quiet street high up on a hill looking down at the bay and ocean. Views are spectacular. We took the moderate hilly terrain walk on the street from the house to the beach and both markets in town (for fresh oysters and ice cream cones). Most people likely drive and finding parking is not a concern. There is a steep and unmaintained path in the back of the house to the ocean that is posted as no trespassing. We determined that to not include those paying rent : ).
Contrary to the posting, there is room for two cars in the driveway. The house looks nicer in person than the pictures. The wood walls and floors are beautiful. The spacious master bedroom is the upstairs loft area of the house. It has no door at the top of the stairs but is private away from our grown children in the two bedrooms on the main floor. Evidently the bed was so comfortable in that we both slept through each night without waking up. There are three bathrooms.
We brought our food along and only went to the two small local markets for fresh oysters and to replenish the short supply of dishwasher and laundry detergent, trash bags, and coffee filters (no K-cups). Twice we picked up take out from the two restaurants, The Schooner and Upstairs Bar & Grill. Both had very good chowder and fish and chips. Our kids went crabbing from the jetty rocks and we enjoyed their harvest and also fresh seafood on the gas grill. We used the fire pit every night. The views were amazing from each bedroom, upper deck, living room, and patio.
There did not appear to be a recycling option so we packed out all of our recycling. It would have been nice to be able to have turned off the lighthouse fixture at night also. Overall, very nice!

What an amazing view! Such a wonderful home away from home, where we stayed during a week long trip to see my family in Netarts. Couldn’t imagine a better way to escape than waking up to that gorgeous view of the bay and the ocean. Thanks for a great stay!

This is the kind of home i hate to review as well as it deserves, because it fills the rental calendar and raises the price!! But it's a unique home, clearly well loved by all the special decore, and the upstairs master suite was ideal for my husband and I as a reprieve from our adult children downstairs, with it's own balcony, tv, and recliners!! Comfy bed and linens, as well. The kitchen is well stocked and the dining room provided a five star view for every meal!! The street is quiet and though there is no enclosure for dogs outside, leashing up for a potty walk was easy and pleasant on the long street and worth it! You*will not* regret staying in this home where every bedroom faces one of the most amazing bay and ocean views you'll see any where!! Do yourself and loved ones a favor: make your next vacation home Windsong Cove!!!
