Needed a place to stay in an emergency. Uncle was airlifted to Mad River Hospital in Arcata. Not from the area and clueless on location, I was lucky to rent this adorable place for my aunt and me to stay in. She felt very comfortable and safe in a stressful situation. Place was very clean and even had a nice laundry for her unexpected extended stay. It has a beautiful outdoor space where my aunt could sit and meditate. Although this is a multi-unit place, we did not hear a peep from any others staying here. Again not being familiar with the area was again lucky to be located walking distance to shops, Co-Op and restaurants and 5 minutes from the hospital. I hope to rent this again, but for a vacation situation to really enjoy the area. I highly recommend!

This place had an amazing Sauna which my party of 4 used as soon as we arrived. It was great to use after a long trip. Everything in the two bedroom place was well thought out. We were within walking distance (or biking) to EVERYTHING except the beach which was a short drive. it was such a memorable and fun time. our host came by on Sunday to check-in on us. Downtown Digs made our great stay even better. Two thoughts for the traveler 1. Bring Coffee 2. No Dishwasher so prepare yourself

Great location and quiet too! Clean and comfortable.
We had a pleasant stay as a family of four. We can definitely recommend this beautiful rental. It is nicely decorated and close to the plaza. The sauna and bikes are nice as well as the tv arrangement.
Downtown Digs is very close to everything Arcata. If you want to walk to the town square for farmers market on Saturday or do some shopping its literally 2 blocks away. The neighborhood is quiet and has a good vibe. The beds were super comfortable definitely worth noting.
Excellent location, walking distance to the Square and Arcata Marsh. Very comfortable and well appointed flat. This is our third time at this location and we will stay here again.
We love being a repeat guest. It does feel like home. 1 bedroom we use for our stuff and the other we sleep in. The bed is very comfortable but squeaky and not as big as we're used to. Owner's need to address to funky danke smell in upper west bedroom. Making memories in Arcata. Baked an apple crisp this time. Yum!!
Overall we had a fine stay. I was a bit disappointed with the cookware, and making meals was challenging (e.g., no spatula). When we arrived about 3:30, the unit was not ready, but the cleaning staff was nice and let us in anyway. I will definitely come back.
a lovely and conveniently located place to stay in Arcata. There were many little surprise extras including delicious cookies. The price was very reasonable. We will come back again.
Two day stop on our way to Oregon. Motels are boring. Rentong wa house is way much more fun. The Downtown Digs fits petfect. The only downside is the bed. We’re used to hard matrasses. The beds in Digs are too soft. But that’s personal.
Location was perfect for base to travel up and down coast. Will definitely book again.
Property was very clean, well stocked, lots of samples from surrounding businesses. The house doesn't have central AC which for that region isn't needed , but it does get stuffy when your gone with all the windows closed. I also don't think you should have to pay extra to use the washer and dryer, first time I've seen that in a VRBO.
Lovely decor and very quiet in apartment. Very clean everywhere and kitchen had all appliances needed. We would stay there again! Thankyou.
the rental was comfortable and convenient to down town. we would stay here again.
This was our third stay in Arcata and by far our favorite. The layout of the place is perfect, plenty of space in both bedrooms. Loved the open kitchen/living room area and great outdoor space. Walk-able to everything in Arcata that you could ask for. The only possible negative I can give this place is that the couch in the living room is uncomfortable. Seriously, that's the only minor complaint I can come up with, this place is that good.
We Louisiana folks had an amazing time checking out this quaint, artistic and nature filled wonderland of a town, Arcata. Downtown Digs was perfectly equipped with all the amenities we needed - bikes, ping pong table, bbq, full kitchen, TV and nice full bathroom. Having our own Sauna was also a huge bonus!! Very clean, very responsive reservations front desk help and property manager made sure the place was dialed in with some smooth jazz on when we entered the property. Thanks Redwood Coast Vacation Rentals team!
The property is very clean and updated. It's convenient to the town square with shops and restaurants, just minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We loved the location! Great for our family with two small boys! Hope to return sometime.
Relaxing fun vacation with daughters. House was cheerful, clean, cozy with a sauna, backyard, and so close to town a few blocks away. The place is very charming and inviting. Kitchen is well stock with items to use to cook with and a gas stove. Beds were very comfy. We will always remember this vacation spot, close to the redwoods. Thank you.
Downtown Digs is located in a nice central Arcata location. The full kitchen, along with a gas grill in the backyard, makes it easy to prepare some meals. It snowed during our stay and someone built a (small) snowman in the backyard.
We enjoyed staying in a convenient location to visit family in Arcata.
Perfect place to stay for a short or extended visit. Walk to a great selection of restaurants or cook at home in the well appointed kitchen. The yard is big enough for any dog. When you hit the ping pong balls over the fence, the neighbor is very accommodating in allowing open access to find them! Property manager is VERY responsive.
We rented Downtown Digs to have a Thanksgiving dinner with our two sons (one who attends Humboldt State, the other Oregon State). The dinner was a success; although the kitchen was a bit small, we managed to cook turkey with all the trimmings. Digs was comfortable and clean and it had all the amenities we required. I really liked the backyard; it was large enough for our dog to chase balls. Our sons enjoyed playing ping pong (in the rain) and hanging out in the sauna. Digs was very close to a lot of downtown shops and restaurants. The managers Jesse and Joanna were helpful. Highly recommended.
Awesome spot! Clean and the location was close to everything. Loved the ping pong table in the backyard!
Overall this property is a quaint, well-stocked, nicely decorated, cozy place. Super close to Arcata square with all that has to offer. After a very long drive up to Arcata, it was so pleasant to walk in and find a few lights on, place at a comfortable temperature, and a music station playing on the TV. The bedding was SUPER comfortable and the thoughtful touches throughout the place were appreciated. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend to a friend and/or stay here again.
This was a really cute place with a great location close to the arcata plaza and great restaurants and the HSU campus. The rental person was very responsive to our questions as well
We loved our stay here while visiting my daughter in Arcata. It's in a great location downtown so we could walk to shops and restaurants. This is a cute, clean and quiet two bedroom that will be my top choice when I return.
We really enjoyed our stay. This house was perfectly located in the heart of town but still quiet. It was nice to be able to walk to a bunch of restaurants and the grocery store. It was a good location to visit the Redwoods as well. The beds were cozy and the backyard was a perfect place for the kids to play. I really liked that there was a washer/dryer in the garage, it saved me a ton of time going to the laundry mat after being on the road for 3 weeks. The only thing I thought was tacky is that they want you to pay 2 dollars per wash and dry. We paid the money to stay here and the machines we advertised as being part of the rental. There are no "fees" for the bikes or sauna. I just thought it was tacky. I would have liked it pay an extra five dollars a night if needed and just had it included. Other than that is was a great stay.
perfect place to stay
Nice little unit, perfect size for my wife, my son & I. It's a 5 minute walk to the plaza & most of the restaurants. Also the North Coast CO-OP market is 2 blocks away. The knotty pine floors are beautiful. The beds are comfy & there is a nice couch & a TV with Netflix access. The only gripe would be the cookware in the kitchen. It could use an update. I would definitely stay here again.
Very nice unit in a delightful house.
was a great time to relax. not too far from red woods that makes it really great location for the vacation.
Very cute. Great location. Friendly property manager and owner. Only problem was beds were a little too firm.
Downtown Digs is clean and in a good location. Excellent spot for those traveling with dogs. The yard also has several motion detectors for safety. It’s nice to have a parking spot as well. The beds are comfortable however one makes noise when you move around and the other needed a pillow between the wall and headboard. There are hardly any kitchen amenities so bring your own (foil, plastic bags, sweetener, food containers, etc). I would also like to see a chair to sit in as the only area to relax has one well used sofa. The property managers are awesome, available and responsive.
Stay here if you want to walk to all the great stores, restaurants and beauty Arcata has to offer. Walk in the redwoods is a 10 minute drive. Downtown Digs is well renovated although the basics for a home stay are sparse. Bring your own TP, Paper towels, etc if you are there more than a day. But you are told too do so in the contract small print. Still, it’s unusual. The yards are great.
We had a lovely stay at this house. It is in quiet neighborhood in short walking distance to the Co Op and town center. The beds were comfortable and the living space was sunny and bright.
Very nicely done, well appointed, quiet two bedroom flat. Short walking distance to the Arcata Square and the Arcata Marsh. This property management company is organized and responsive. We have stayed in several of their properties and all have been just great. Highly recommended.
Cozy, great spot for a weekend visit. Walking distance to everything in downtown Arcada. Would definitely return.
Very easy. Thanks to carpenter who halted noisy work during our stay. Nice light space. Good bedrooms, adequate kitchen equipment. Perfect for what we needed, a place to crash after vigils in a hospital and quick breakfast prep. Liked the touch of the puppy treats -- Bessie loved them!
