I can't imagine a better place. It is cozy, comfortable. It has a fenced in yard and dogs are allowed. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. They even had a pizza cutter.

The house was clean and comfortable. We had trouble with the tv remote and the property manager came by to help. Neighbors were friendly. Loved the jetted tub! Nice to have a dock. Good food at Gill's!

This was such a great little cottage! Clean and had everything we needed for the week. The kitchen is will appointed, great linens on the comfy bed and lovely towels in the bath. It is exactly as the photos show. We were especially happy with the front yard and back yard. The dock in the back was a bonus to watch the sunset. It is a very private and quiet place. The neighbors are friendly too. The Bay is a few blocks walk to the west where we spent many hours exploring with our Boston Terrier Bruno. The town of Eureka was fun to explore. Lots of places to get coffee and just hang out. The harbor at Woodley Island was a great place to watch the world go by and eat oysters at Woodley's Bar. And lucky for us Gills by the Bay (restaurant) opened the day before we left, which is just a few short blocks to the cottage. They really have great food! We will be back!

Cute, fresh, well appointed, well stocked, clean, comfortable, private waterfront cottage 10 minutes from Eureka restaurants, close to bay hiking, redwoods, creek and canyon hikes.
I will plan on returning for a longer stay.

Located 5 mins south of Eureka, the largest coastal town in Northern California. Lots of good places to eat and visit for long scenic walks in the Redwoods or on the many beaches along the way.

Spent a week up here to escape the city and see the redwoods. Had a great time, cooked a lot of great food and enjoyed the loveley weather. 10/10 would go again!

Was a good place to stay on my vacation with my girlfriend and our dog house was clean and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay when we were at the cottage
We will always come back
Cottage just the right size for 2-4, inside nicely kept. Front and back fenced in yard a plus with our dog. Relaxing to sit and fish on the back dock, should have brought our kayaks!
Shell Cottage was perfect! It was clean and comfortable, with loads of charm. The back yard was perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the morning and dinner and a glass of wine after a day full of fun. We loved the private dock where we were able to launch our kayaks whenever we wanted.
The location was great. The little fishing village was charming and full of character, and the locals were quite friendly.
We loved it so much we didn't want to leave!
Wonderful weekend getaway. Cute, clean and cozy cottage just a few steps from Humboldt Bay. The cottage was well appointed with everything we needed. Enjoyed having coffee on the back deck. And beach combing just across the street. Safe and secure yard for the kids or your fur baby. Bring your boat and travel up the canal to your own dock. We will return for sure.
It was my first time staying at an Air B&B. All in all I liked it but would have picked a different location if I was more familiar with area. The place was nice but there was an issue with ants in kitchen and I felt like the floors were not very clean. Otherwise it was good for what we needed it for.
We come back ton this little retreat every year to visit my son who attends Humboldt state. We love it! And jessie is fabulous and extremely attentive when needed but otherwise no where in sight. It's the perfect get away!
We just loved this cottage. Being so close to the bay was perfect and loved being in walking distance to a great restaurant. We would definitely stay here again
A lovely quiet stop for us as we travel north from Arizona. The property is clean and comfortable, and was just perfect for us and our dog. The beach park across the street was such a great benefit. It made a great base for visits to the redwoods in the area.
Loved staying here except for the residual smell of heavy smokers who must have stayed there before me. Nice to have a clean place to stay with my Service Dog that is well maintained.
The cottage was warm and comfortable. We loved the atmosphere,it was peaceful and close to everything we wanted to do. The fenced yard made it perfect for our pups.Jesse was helpful and kind. We really had a great relaxing time at Shell Cottage.
Jessie met us there with instructions. Very helpful and friendly. The place was very comfy and spotless. Our dog enjoyed walks on the beach only a short distance away.Loved the humorous picture of the duckies in the bathroom.
After my wife mom's passing, we were looking for a place to get away from everyone and just relax. We found the perfect place in Eureka! The house was ever better than we imagined and we felt right at home. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed breakfast at Gills. Look forward to our next visit which will be twice as long the next time!
The property was exactly as described. The kitchen was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. The property management company was very responsive when we had a question. I would stay here again!.
Very quiet and secure. Cottage has the essentials provided. Clean and cozy, would definitely stay there again☺️
Super cute and cozy. Everything we needed for the weekend and great for our puppy.
This was our 3rd year at Shell Cottage. It is our home away from home. Everything was spotless. The only negative was that it was lacking a few kitchen items & paper products were at the minimum.
My two Siberian Huskies and I loved how cozy and private the cottage was. It was super clean and had nice touches like books and a variety of movie choices. My dogs were thrilled to be able to be off leash and hang out on the back deck with me. It was a great first Airbnb experience.
We had an amazing time staying at this quaint little cottage. It was perfectly located between the Avenue of the Giants and Trees of Mystery which were points of interest for us on our vacation. There were plenty of restaurants near by and pet friendly beaches. We brought two dogs and the cottage was perfect with a nice fenced in yard. I loved coming back from a day of exploring and being able to sit out back and relax. We had a very nice experience, thank you!
When we first arrived, it was very cute house , location was not what we expected. The house was super secured with locks and alarm system which was fabulous. It was clean, neat and had all amenities'. The street was quite and Gils by the Bay diner was superb! We enjoyed our stay and was amazed how close all the other towns were to us. We were right off 101 and we took local trips to Trinidad, Arcata, Eureka and Crescent City. It was wonderful being on the bay and getting such nice weather.
Don't judge a book by its cover. The neighborhood doesn't look like much, but it was perfect for our stay. We stayed for four nights and made day trips to Patrick's Point, Avenue of Giants, Ferndale, and Centerville Beach. Gill's by the Bay was delicious and everyone we saw was so friendly. Shell Cottage was clean, bright, and perfectly appointed with everything we needed.
Lovely, cozy rental. Pet friendly. Spa tub! Although we didn't use it, there is a dock in the back. Minutes from Eureka and shopping. Couldn't find seafood restaurants. Only downside was a very small (child size ) toilet.
This is our third stay at shell cottage so you know we love the place. It is a charming and comfortable little place with a lovely back and front yard in which to relax and enjoy the seagulls coast air and sunshine...when it's sunny. Jesse is a delightful and kind host who responds immediately to all questions. We we're a little surprised to find that they only supply a days worth of toilet paper of vey poor quality. We would recommend you bring your own since you'll have to buy some anyway. Otherwise it was another fantastic stay!
This was an ideal cottage for our trip! Easy walk to a quiet beach, easy drive to redwoods, the ocean--all the beautiful things to do in Eureka. Neighborhood were quiet and peaceful, and the house was well appointed and clean and comfortable.
Cozy, quiet qand clean cottage with a boat dock. Fenced yard convenient for our dog. Wished I had thought about bringing kayaks. Great stay. Would recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay. Walking on the beach with the dogs in the morning. Having coffee out back by the canal. It was a very relaxing stay.
Enjoyed relaxing and walking on the adjacent beach.
Shell Cottage was a very quiet and quaint place to stay. I brought my dog along and I loved how close the beach was to the cottage. My dog loved running on the beach. I also loved the beach theme. I would Definitely rent this cottage again in the future.
The small cottage was located across from the beach where we were able to watch fantastic sunsets. The place was well appointed and had everything we needed for a great stay.
PERFECT. Allowed my daughter's cat(prince KEKO), could buy goodies from Costco to fix in well appointed kicthen(saved biggly) or hit the best restrants in good style. Nice and quiet too. finding any gold nuggets in the beach sand...!
