This place was a lot bigger than expected. The home was beautiful and extremely spacious. The views were breathtaking!

This is a beautiful spacious home away from home. Nicely appointed throughout. Five Adults and two children ( 2 & 5) didn’t feel crowed at all. We loved the experience. Just 5 minutes to town. Great find!

We had a great stay at this home. It’s beautiful and spacious, really top notch.

This property has sweeping views of the ocean and is much larger of a home than the pictures show! The deck and living room spaces are huge and comfortable, and we loved the hot tub. Very close to town and access to outdoor adventures in the area. Lots of TVs throughout the home (although we didn't use them) and wood burning fire places, which would be great in the winter. The space was very clean which we appreciated, especially during COVID.
We've stayed in over 80 Airbnbs, so going through an agency was different and presented some issues that impacted our stay:
*We didn't realize there were two rental units downstairs that existed and were booked; those folks kept wandering up to our deck and was unclear which space was ours/private.
*We weren't aware the tap water would be drinkable but brown, and that we should be bringing bottled water.
*The refrigerator was broken and we had to spend hours the first night troubleshooting how to fix it so we didn't lose all our food. Thankfully we were able to clean the vents and fix it. Unfortunately there was no water hook up for the water filter or ice maker either. But one of the Vacasa representatives came over the next morning with a case of water and ice, which was helpful
*The oven door doesn't close all the way, so really tough to bake or cook anything with that appliance.
*The listing doesnt indicate kitchen amenities - they had salt, pepper and maple syrup - but would be helpful to list so people know what to bring.
*There were cigarette ashes all over the deck tables, which we had to clean.
Considering the cost, we likely would not come back due to these issues and find an Airbnb instead where more attention is paid to the details and it's easier to contact the host with issues. BUT, we're taking it with a grain of salt and appreciated the beautiful view and home for while we were there.

We stayed at Whalerock four nights and loved every moment. The house is wonderful with spectacular views whether you're inside, on the deck, or in the hot tub. Trinidad is a fun little town with the essentials, and the close proximity to redwood national park is what attracted us from the start.
What a wonderful place to stay...amazing view!
This house is amazing. The living space is large and the gorgeous views are everywhere. We loved walking down to the observation deck and coastline on the property. There are 3 things that bothered me. 1) For the price of this rental, it's silly that shower supplies are not included. 2) The house could have been cleaner. The tile floors were sticky, and there were dust bunnies and ants on them as well. The cabinets and doors were not clean and there were a few dirty dishes in the cabinet. 3) We were called at 9:45 pm one night (on Ohio landline # so I didn't get message until we were home) that we were being too loud for the tenants below. Our family was playing a board game (supplied in the closet of the house). While it was an animated game and we were making noise and laughing (windows were open to cool the place so I'm sure that helped the noise travel), it's ridiculous to think we can't do those things at that time. 11:00 pm or later I could understand. This rental is a bit pricey for having tenants below in the first place, but I was not pleased that we were told we can't make noise having simple family fun. For the record, I tried calling about items 1 and 2, but couldn't reach anyone (I was apparently not calling the right #). I eventually gave up because I wanted to just enjoy my vacation and not complain. But I do think people should be aware of these things, especially that the noise restrictions seem to be a bit much.
We really enjoyed our stayed at the Whalerock Home. Absolutely nothing but great things to say about this home. It was clean, had everything we needed, and offered amazing views. Patricks Point Rd. was also a great place for my morning runs.
everything we dreamed of and much more.
This house was everything we thought it would be plus! I have never seen my husband so relaxed and the kids loved playing outside. Little things were taken care of and hiking recommendations were appreciated. We would go back in a heartbeat!
The home lived up to my every expectation. It was clean and immaculate. The views from the deck and from inside the rooms was amazing.
Exceeded our expectations. The location is breath taking and the house was perfect.
Views are incredible, deck space is great, fire places, hot tub all fantastic!!House is really nice but the fact that you don't have the full house at this price point is less than ideal. However I will admit we had no issues with the other guests. My only other complaint is the lack of washer and dryer, again at this nightly rate I think it should have washer dryer.
Just a perfect place to step away from life's stresses. Go now and Retreat to this stunning cliff house with grand coastline and endles ocean views. Refresh, refresh, and be tantalized!
Had an awesome time at this beautiful home with stunning ocean views. Highly recommend and the photos do not do it justice.
Sitting in the hot tub overlooking the ocean was fantastic.
Amazing time. Well worth it. If you take the hike down to the water, make sure you are prepared lol.
Our family of 6 had more than enough room in this large home. The views were stunning, the hot tub was relaxing, and the experience left us refreshed. The home was close to several great hikes in the Redwoods, but it was hard at times to get the kids to leave because the loved being in the home. We enjoyed out time and hope to return in the future.
The view is spectacular. We wanted for nothing. TrueType a special spot on this earth.
