The location is the high point of this home. The ocean view along with a quick walk to town and hiking is wonderful.
The rental was great. The excessive amount of emails were obnoxious.
I live in TN. My oldest son lives in Trinidad. He was born on my birthday, October 15th. I flew to Trinidad to celebrate his 60th and my 81st birthday. My other son flew in from Boston. Our flights connected in Denver and we flew in to Arcata together and he stayed with me in the Trinidad Beach Home. We almost didn't make it that evening because our flight was delayed because the power was out at the airport and most of CA due to high winds and fire danger. They lit the runway lights with a generator. When we got to the house the lights were out but we soon found that some rooms had lights and assumed a generator was working. That was nice!!! Power was on the next morning. We stayed a week but didn't spend much time in the house, however, it had all the amenities we needed. We had breakfast in the dining area that overlooks the ocean with waves breaking on the rocks. A beautiful view! A very short walk to the trail-head. A nice hike with beautiful views. A very comfortable home. A comfortable king size bed. Lots of fresh linens for my son to fix a bed on the big living room couch. Looking forward to possibly staying here again.
It was great time. Love the location, big home with lots of space. Close to lots of places to check out, such as beaches & Redwood National & State parks.
the most beautiful week I've spent in a long long time. We had absolutely no issues with any part of our stay, the staff was wonderful, the property is very well taken care of. Thank you for a great time
When we arrive the house was clean and ready for us! There was a binder which had instructions for tv, guides and information for things you can do, wonderful articles of the area. The view from the house was breathtaking! The whole experience in the city and the rental house was amazing! Highly recommend this rental house!
It was a great stop. Loved the view, sunsets and location to the beach. The house was clean and very comfortable.
Wonderful place to stay.
I have rented this unit about 25 days in the last year. It is tired. Several replacements needed. New bedspread, rugs, and some dishes and bowls. Two beach chairs like Costco Tommy Bahama would be an excellent addition. The 2 chairs in the porch are rusty and need to be replaced. The bushes in front should be trimmed way back. They take away the ocean view. Please turn this into the jewel it should be.
Wonderful place. Views of the ocean, short walk to the beach and dock. Great entertainment center with a fabulous surround sound system. Although the kitchen does not have a stove and mentioned only a hot plate was pleased to also find an electric frying pan, large microwave and cooking utensils for small meal preperation. Good restaurant and grocery store nearby as well. Quiet area, would stay there again. My reservation was somewhat last minute but Sarah at Redwood Coast was very helpful and available to answer questions by phone.
Great view of the ocean. I have rented this place twice now and have it booked for June. Thank you Dori, for getting a full length mirror in the rental. This time the trash can lid was broken off when I arrived just sitting on top. The dishes need to be replaces the are chipped or stained. The bath room rugs may be clean up they are so old they need to be replaced they look dirty. The first time I rented for over a week their were 6 beach towels. Last time there were four. This place needs some one to go in and freshen it up. I hope that happens before my June visit. It has a great view and location but inside it is tired. It seemed to be cleaned well put the tiredness of things like dishes, linens and rugs gave it a NOT crisp feeling this time. I hope this can be refreshed by June.
I rented this place for 2 weeks for my honeymoon and as I pulled up my wife squealed with delight. With a short walk to the beach and plenty else to do and see nearby I was also pleased. The bath tub was my wife's favorite because the floor is heated and the tub is deep. I was surprised by the extras that are not disclosed like the roku with a guest Netflix account signed in and all the pots and pans to cook with. Highly recommended for couple or small family as it is 2 bed 2 bath.
The location was amazing and the house is even closer to the beach than it looks in the photos! Everything was sparkling clean and cozy. Great view from the dining room. Couldn't have been happier! :)
My niece and I stayed for four nights, using the home as a base for daily hikes in the Redwood Parks. The home layout worked well for us because of the two well separated and private sleeping areas and bathrooms. The home was clean and generally well maintained. The living room and dining rooms were large. Although the kitchen had no stove, there was a two burner hotplate and toaster oven. There were a sufficient number of utensils, dishes, pots and pans for the breakfasts and sinners we prepared. There is a full sized regrigerator too. The kitchen lacked a regular sliced bread toaster but instead only had a bagel toaster and toaster oven which did not work well for toasting. The beds were comfortable and good spaces for hanging and storing our clothing. The home has no steps coming in and the landscaping was beautiful and well maintained. Thereconvenient parking too. There is a beautiful ocean view from the dining room....but the window was in need of cleaning and detracted from the view. Over all, the Beach Home really worked well for us and I would definitely stay there again.
Cute coastal town with everything in walking distance. Very clean with detailed notebook on everything from dining options to redwood trailheads and difficulty levels of the hikes. The only thing different we could've asked for was instructions of how to turn on the jacuzzi jets; however, the deep soak was great. We will be back!
We enjoyed our visit to Trinidad.
Wonderful but too short getaway weekend, a cool break from the super-hot temps in the valley! This is a great house!
Great location to see the Redwoods Comfortable and up to date conveniences. The cooking capabilities are limited.
What a great location, and a really nice condo, with a great view. Don't miss the hike right across the street of the Trinidad Head Trail, beautiful flowers and plants, and incredible views. Just a short drive to the redwoods. So glad we found such a wonderful place to stay!!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, well stocked, and warm! The location is difficult to beat. The 'nook' has a wide view of the ocean/harbor and makes a great place to enjoy a meal or do work. Instructions (TV, lighting) were provided where necessary.
The property is beautifully located steps from the beach and a quick hike just on the edge of town only a few minutes from stores and restaurants. The home is very spacious and extremely cozy. The only downside is that there is no stove which can be a bit deceiving since there is one shown in the photos. We asked beforehand and they confirmed there was no stove, so we prepared and improvised with the microwave for breakfasts, etc
If anyone out there is deciding on where to stay as they head up to the Redwoods, would highly recommend this place & Trinidad. We had some amazing meals in and around Trinidad and found the views and comfort of this home to be amazing. Provided for a great Thanksgiving!
