Gorgeous, dog-friendly lodge w/ loft, near beach & skiing!

This year, host your annual Lake Tahoe trip at this pet-friendly Homewood vacation rental. With fireplaces in all three bedrooms and the loft, an inviting deck, and closeness to your choice of ski resorts and beaches, the Tahoe Pine Cabin will be your new favorite getaway.

Is Homewood Mountain Resort your favorite ski spot? Well, this lodge is only a mile and a half north, easily accessed via lakeside route 89. Homewood offers activities all year long, including summer’s Drive-In Movies, the Farm to Peak Dinner Series starting in August, and your favorite hiking and biking trails. Cross-country and downhill runs dominate winter, but a snowcat ride makes a unique experience!

Attack more challenging runs at Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley, around 13 miles away. Both popular resorts offer a full menu of seasonal activities along with spas, restaurants, and shops to keep you occupied whatever your vacation style is.

Back at this comfortable Tahoe cabin, you'll have accommodations for up to six adults (8 guests if some are children). There won't be any competition over bedroom claiming, because each one is stellar. All feature cuddle-inspiring log beds (two rooms have kings and one has a pair of twins) and a gas stove that'll banish any chills. Even the loft, which can double as a family room, has a stove as well as two couches and a TV.

Toss a log in the wood-burning fireplace to heat up the living room while you watch a DVD or VHS from the home's own library. In summer, you may want to congregate on the raised, furnished deck with gas grill. Fix a feast of kabobs and burgers for 10 with ease, then have the dishwasher do all the hard work. On the deck or balcony, you can use the home's telescope to search the skies - just make sure you bring hot cocoa if looking for winter constellations.

The fully stocked kitchen provides all the necessities, from major appliances and tools to a corkscrew and coffee maker, for making any meal of the day. Seating is abundant - just choose your spot from the breakfast bar, dining table, or patio.

Three bathrooms will keep everyone happy. Additional amenities include a private washer and dryer and WiFi

Dogs are welcome here, just note that there is an additional pet fee. The closest Lake Tahoe dog-friendly beach is in Carnelian Bay, just 11 miles north. Just five-and-a-half miles north is Commons Beach in Tahoe City, which hosts weekly waterfront concerts in the summer. And closer yet is Homewood Mountain Resort where you can rent kayaks and stand-up paddleboards to take out on McKinney Bay.

Establish this Lake Tahoe vacation rental as your new favorite place to escape to.

This well appointed cabin had everything that a family would need for a comfortable stay in a quiet and convenient location (Tahoe city is only 10 minutes away). We arrived at a clean cabin and instantly felt at home. Kitchen had all the utensils you would ever need. Grill was clean and functional. Had a great time grilling on the deck. VHS player & dozens of VHS tapes of 80s & 90s movies was a big hit with my family. Internet is fast enough. Heating the cabin in winters would be no problem with multiple fireplaces (one in each bedroom and in a living room) along with many spare space heaters. All in all, our family of four (which included a 5 year old and a 10 month old) had a great time. Highly recommended !

We liked that we had three bathrooms. We were only five adults, but we had lots of room. We were gone most of the time, but we were comfortable when we came in at the end of the evenings.

We loved this cabin because it was very comfortable and cozy! There was great natural light. Also, the bed was was very comfortable with nice linens. The towels were great too! There could be better space for toiletries in the master bath, perhaps replace the sink with a vanity with a cabinet. Otherwise, it was perfect!

Our group enjoyed the cabin. It was great to have 3 bathrooms for the 3 bedrooms. The location is on the west side of the lake, about 15 minutes from Tahoe City, CA & about 45 minutes from South Lake Tahoe, CA. The cabin had everything we needed to get started for our stay. During our stay, the snow was packed all the way to the top of the windows in places, but the roads, driveway & path to the front door were clear.

Very enjoyable cabin. Only negatives: cold water in main suite bathroom and no dedicated backyard (only a deck)

I chose this cabin for my family's first vacation to Lake Tahoe. We found comfort and had a great time as well as the cabin providing every needs we could ask for (on top of my head).

Only downside we faced was that the cabin didn't provide a scissor for us to cut our BBQ, but having Chromecast and multiple TVs certainly made us forget that.

Our little family (3) was so happy to bring our dog with us for the first time on vacation in Lake Tahoe. This house was great to introduce our fourth family member to the mountains and he did super. There was plenty of room to bring to more friends. Loved the cozy fireplace, big bedrooms and extra upstairs for my sons video game playing. . The location was perfect! Close to everything, including the great trail off of the end of Grand Avenue two blocks over. Great for bikes or walking. We got to experience all three seasons in one week! Snowed on Thanksgiving day. First snow for many of us. Little tricky to get out of the driveway in the snow, however the snowplow was there before 10 AM on both days. Definitely recommend four wheel drive in the winter. The third bathroom was helpful, if we were to bring more family members next time, however, the hot water did not work so great in the master bathroom shower. Luckily we had the third bathroom with the best showerhead. Beautifully decorated! Nice new furnishings, and plenty of comfortable beds linens and towels. We love to cook, so we wished the kitchen had a few more niceties including wine glasses (Please!), more silverware, and some linens ( it was missing pot and pan mitts, extra towels that actually dry dishes, foil baggies or saran wrap of any kind, and even some placemats would have been nice ). The pluses were beautiful dishes, lots of knives, and extra points for a nutcracker and turkey thermometer! The barbecue grill was wonderful, even in the snow. There were great little fake fireplaces in all the bedrooms plus super views out to the forest that backed behind the house. It was truly a winter wonderland! Suggestions: bring your own wood and fire starter kit; and good bottle opener, Plus pet food and water bowls. It was immaculately clean. Only true drawback, is the dining table that is inside the kitchen. It seats six, however, in order to get to the hallway and open the kitchen door it must be shoved up against the wall most of the time. Not much room to move around if you have a large family. And my two men wanting to sit at the table to be on computers which blocked access while in the kitchen. Last but not least, enjoyed the VHS tape movie Library! Would suggest adding some games, even a deck of cards at the very least.
We will certainly be back as this was a great find in Tahoe Pines!

Nice house , the property manager tied up the fireplace with nylon ties so that we could not have an open fire. That was one of the selling points, why would they do that? it was minus 3c , fire required.

Wonderful dog friendly cabin very close to Obexers Boat Co, very good launch ramp. Nice quiet street.

House was clean and spacious. Loved the decore. Well stocked kitchen. Quiet neighborhood.

The downstairs master bedroom was very nice and with door closed noise from kitchen area was minimal. Use of private pier was lovely.

We had such a lovely time, and the cabin was perfectly suited for us. The house was clean and tidy, and the location was well suited with the town, Tahoe City being a 10min drive. Very thankful that we go to spend time at this cabin.

My family and i loved everything about this house. It was secluded, quiet and cozy. Our fur-baby loved it as well. The patio is lovely, perfect for an evening re-cap. We hope to visit again soon.

It's hard to imagine this place in the summer because there was so much snow (on April 15th!). But it was a FUN snow trip. Very pet friendly, clean, lots of hot water for showers, 3 bathrooms was a huge plus. The house was big enough for 6 adults and a 2 year old. Kitchen was easy to cook in. Easy access to Homewood (where we attended a wedding). It was dog friendly on a quiet street. We had a blast! There's no central heating, so it was a bit cold, but lots of blankets and space heaters were provided. Also, the fireplace wasn't working so that was a bummer. But we would still be back.

Cleaniness, spaces, kitchen. It was snowing so didn't get to enjoy the outside Deck.
Frances S. Nov 2017
The whole place was clean and beds comfortable. Lots of room for privacy with 3 bathrooms
Bill P. Oct 2017
Nice area, easy access to Homewood and Tahoe City.
Diane C. Oct 2017
This cabin is a few streets off of Hwy 89 so there isn't road noise. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio. It's also close enough to the lake that we walked straight down Park Avenue and accessed a lovely beach on the lake. This is a super location for biking and hiking. We really enjoyed the kitchen and BBQ, cooking all of our breakfasts and most of our dinners. Internet access was good but Verizon cell coverage was difficult.

Will be returning next summer a few times. I called, to have your staff tell Mr.Bennet the cabin was wonderfull. Only downside was the snow storm made boating a no go. However, the cabin was spot on.

We enjoyed our stay in this cabin.
Little things to improve but in general it was amazing

Overall great experience at this cabin, lots of space for family to spread out, very happy they had WiFi going.

Very good experience. We would stay here long as there is a new dryer or we bring our own towels.

Spent two days at the cute house. Furnishings were fine but no phone, no wash cloths and no dish rags and towels. Dryer did not work and wet towels were in the dryer when we got there. Location is good, price for house was fine but cleaning fee was out of sight.
Karen C. Jun 2016
Fitted perfect for 2 families with small kids to spend the holliday. Good furniture and clean sheets. Kitchen appliences worked for the 3 days we've spent there as well as paper and cleaning items. The cabin was superfically clean but definetly need a deep clean on carpet and couch. Cosy and fun with all the bear decor. We didnt use the heat to comment on it.
Dan S. Mar 2016
My group skied two days at Squaw, and the drive was quick and easy from this location. Great house, nice fireplace, would come back!
Bob L. Feb 2016
This cabin is about 4 minutes from the main road to Honewood but feels miles away. Set in a forest, it has a nice hill in back for wandering or sledding. The bedrooms are cozy and filled with bear decor and the bathrooms are functional and comfortable with updated fixtures. The upstairs has a picture window and a cozy living area for reading.
Ron H. Jan 2016
The cabin was clean and cozy, great private low traffic location for the kids and dogs to play outside in the snow. Some of the amenities were not working and we should have been aware of this in advance and Vacasa should have a local rep to contact for any issues, we had to go through their main office in Idaho for any issues we had. Other than that, the cabin was great and would return to this cabin.

Please check the internet connection because it wasn't work, but everything else was great
