Overall we did enjoy ourselves and did just what we set out to do, relax. While most of the problems with the house did not impact our trip, I didn’t think I should let them go unsaid.
First, the location of the house and neighborhood are great! The 1 minute walk to the beach was awesome. I would definitely stay in Carillon again. The neighborhood itself is beautiful!
The main complaint with the house, as far as impacting our stay was the bedding and mattresses. None of the beds were comfortable. The mattresses are old and need replacing badly! My teen slept on the sofa because it was more comfortable than any other bed or pull out sofa. In a place that sleeps 10, I didn’t think this was right. The kitchen was stocked pretty well, but there isn’t a baking or pizza sheet. We made it work with what was there.
The house was cleaned well. But it needs a lot of repairs and work, which in some places made it feel dirty, even if it’s not. These things did not impair our trip, but the house is going to be unusable if these things aren’t fixed. The master bath shower tile is busted up at the entrance, there are a LOT of leaks in the ceilings and a lot of drywall work needs to be done to bring this place up to where it should be.
We enjoyed our relaxing trip and loved the neighborhood. This house has great potential but is in need of some work.

Hi, Brandon! Thank you for telling us about your stay; we are so glad to hear you enjoyed your vacation in the community of Carillon Beach. After Hurricane Michael, the home encountered some roof damage which allowed those leaks to occur. The roof has been repaired, and we are in the process of repainting the water damage. Maintenance has been made aware of the crack in the tile so they can determine how to address it. The property manager will be providing some baking sheets. We hope to see you again!
