The condo was spacious for a family of 4 with Grandma. Amazing ocean views! My only complaint: trash bags, they give you One. Sort of ridiculous as we stayed 10 days. There was enough TP to get thru the first couple of days but you may need to run to store on day 2 for a trash bag. That was a bummer. The dishwasher liquid also was not provided except two little packets. Why can’t an expensive rental leave a few trash bags and a box of dishwashing soap? I was told it was not the owner but the Vacasa property manager policy to leave 1 bag. If so then I would give 5 stars.
It is a lovely place and we would return every summer.

coffee maker did not work. electric stove top so weak took 20 minutes to boil water in a 2 quart pot as there was no tea kettle. knives were ancient. looks like they are afraid to leave anything of value. so everything if junk.

My family has visited the condos at Charleston Ocean Front Villas (COV) since 2008. We have been extremely pleased every year until our visit from August 1-8. This time was a huge disappointment. The king size bed in the master bedroom collapsed—and no one was jumping or honeymooning on the bed. We were sleeping. The box springs at the head of the bed were resting on the floor with the foot of the bed at least 8-10 inches higher. When we moved the mattress over, it was obvious that someone had used boxes of laminated wood flooring to hold up the bed. Maintenance came about six hours later and repaired the bed. They were late because of an awful accident that held up traffic, and they were absolutely professional. On the same morning I called to report the broken bed, I also informed the front desk that there were German cockroaches in the unit. These cockroaches were on the kitchen counter, in the silverware drawer, and in the hallway. Pest control never came or even called. When I went to the office to check out, I informed the employee at the front desk (the same person who I had been in contact with several times about the bed and roaches) that even though the bed was repaired, pest control never so much as contacted me. She seemed surprised and was very apologetic. If this had been our first visit to COV, it also would have been our last. However, I think we will return next year, but definitely not to this particular unit, and maybe not with this property management company, either.
