The unit was very clean and ready for us to occupy it prior to the usual time. Housekeeping was called a few times and promptly responded. We have been guests at the Pelican Watch units on several occasions and this one was closer to the Camp than usual and the noise was slightly bothersome.

Our Pelican Nest unit was very appealing. We loved looking out over the dunes and the water. However, our unit was very dark - almost all the furniture was black. We were also disappointed that our porch was on the first floor, so we were underneath the deck above us. All of this was probably because we got our reservations at the last minute when not much was available. Our other problem was the lack of information about the television. There were two tv's in the unit; one in the living room and one in the bedroom. the one in the living room had a 'roku' as a method of getting to a particular channel, but there was no information on how to use the roku. We were able to pick our favorite channels in the bedroom, but this was not where we wanted to be in the evening. Finally, one last thing; the mattress in the bedroom was not very comfortable. it had quite a dip in the middle of the bed. Not good for one's back! Otherwise we had a wonderful time; lots of very friendly people and a very casual atmosphere. we will certainly come back again next year.

The rental overall was very nice. However, the owners had purchased a new TV and we had to call the office, they then called the owners to find out how to set the unit up.Some cooking items were badly worn-eggs stuck to teflon pans, etc.
