The view is beautiful. However the furnishings are not at all as pictured. Tiny futon couch in main room had been dragged up from it’s match downstairs. This Eliminates the extra bed as well as being “doll sized”. The only other seating was two side chairs an ikea chair and the dining room straight backs. No cozy places here whatsoever.
The House was dusty and there was hair and a press on fingernail in the bathroom. Under the beds was a thick layer of dust and a few random trash pieces. The garbage cans were still full upon arrival and the piecemeal pots and pans were sticky.
The fireplace stove in the main room does not work.
The views from the two back decks are gorgeous but the lower deck had a rotting board that dropped open when stepped on and the railings are too far apart at the bottom to be safe for children.

Closets and bathroom cupboards were still filled with dusty belongings and random useless items.

I feel this spacious home that had great potential is suffering from very poor management. I’m so sorry to leave such a poor review but I do hope improvements will be made. It could be a very lovely place to stay.
Manager response:
Hi, Wendi! We appreciate your feedback. We have removed some of the older furnishings from the home and are working on replacing them. The fireplace is working, and we have provided instructions for its use. The board has been replaced so the deck is safe. We have also done a deep clean and organization of the home. Thank you!

The views from the deck are spectacular - we spent hours standing on the deck watching sunrise and sunsets. (Though some patio furniture would have made this even more relaxing!)
If you are doing any specific cooking or baking, bring your own utensils, pots/pans, spices, tools (wine corkscrew and can opener!) because the kitchen supplies are sparse. Heater works really well!
We had issues with a secure internet connection, with the gas fireplace turning on by itself, and with the upstairs toilet not flushing. Hopefully these will all be remedied for you!

No tv to watch. Remote controls had no battery. Upstairs room, the celing lights was out. Upstairs toilet had issues with the flush system. Unable to use. Spider webs every where. No instructions on how to check out. What to do with dirty shits and trash. Beautiful balcony but no chairs to sit to enjoy the view. Feel like I was overcharged.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us! We are sorry to hear of the issues you experience in the home. This home does come with a functioning TV available for guest use. The ceiling lights have been replaced, the toilet has been repaired, and the home has undergone a deep clean so future guests will not encounter these issues. Please know our guest services team is available 24 hours a day to assist with any needs you may have. We hope to have the chance to impress you in the future!

Spacious home with a great layout, large decks with views surrounded by tall pine trees. Only 3 minutes from Highway 4, 10 minutes to Arnold and 30 minutes to Bear Valley, Alpine Lake and Murphys.

Loved the place. 3 bedrooms sleep 6. Plus there are 4 extra beds/futons. Patio is the best. Close to trails, Bear Valley and Lake Alpine.

It was in a great location surrounded by beautiful forests, a few miles from the town of Arnold and just up the road from Big Trees State Park.

Unfortunately this property did not meet our expectations and it had a dated appearance and feel.

Certain aspects of the home like the hardwood floors, fridge and ceiling fans were up to date. The window coverings were old and worn, light fixtures from 70’s, paint slapped on the walls, random nails and hooks tacked everywhere, audio cords to nowhere and a section of drywall tape was peeling away on the ceiling in one room. Even the cobwebs that could be reached, had their own dust. The outside suffered from its own problems.

It was advertised as having WiFi (which it did and that worked) and access to Netflix. The main TV had HDMI and USB cables hanging from it with nowhere and nothing to plug into. It was an older smart TV but could not connect to any phone or device. It had an older DVD player that did work but like a cruel joke, a blu-ray DVD sat next to it. No cable, antenna, or satellite TV (but dish on the home) and definitely no access to Netflix. The downstairs also had an old TV with an old DVD player with the same issues.

We stayed during the summer and it was in the mid to upper 80’s. The HVAC system struggled to work at cooling the home (it never did) and was completely inadequate. The ceiling fans moved air and apparently the owners knew it would be hot because there were two floor fans in the upper portion of the house when we walked in. It was actually cooler outside. That first night was brutal trying to go to sleep.

We left halfway into the second day of our stay because of the insufferable heat. Not recommended.
Manager response:
Hi, Jeffrey! The owner has made a few updates since your stay and has plans for several others. The DVD players are working; the drywall has been fixed; a deep clean has been done. The home has very spotty WiFi service that we have no control over, and we do not list air conditioning as it is not available in this home. Thank you!

All of the above
