We just returned from Shaver Lake and stayed in this beautiful home. Pictures represent the home well. Very comfortable and plenty of room for six. Back deck is just lovely. Huge kitchen. Downstairs bedrooms cooler than upstairs. We will go back! Just a few notes—home does not have dish towels and only provides one roll of paper towels. And to use the dishwasher you have to unplug the garbage disposal. But once we figured this out all was good!

The house itself and the location was good. Just a few minutes from the lake and plenty of space for the family.

Outside of that the service from Vacasa even before we arrived was terrible. At first glance when we arrived the house looked great, but as we unpacked and got settled we began noticing all of the short comings and obvious lack of effort that was given in preparing the home for us. Despite receiving a text message the day prior to check-in that said “our team is dedicating extra time to cleaning,” the house was not clean.

The first thing we found was a Cheeto on the living room carpet. Bright orange, pretty hard to miss if you’re dedicating extra time. That led to finding Cheeto and what looked like mustard on the living room furniture. The bedrooms looked clean but all of the comforters had stains on them. From the bedrooms we moved to the deck and that’s where things got worse. There were dried and burnt onion pieces and bottle caps on the deck around the gas grill. The grill itself was not cleaned and still had burnt onions and cheese all over it. To make that matter worse the propane was empty so we had to go purchase our own to clean the grill and be able to use it. Overall it was easy to see the house was wiped down at best with an effort to appear clean than actually cleaning it.

With the current pandemic I would expect much more effort into providing a clean environment for guests. After we kept discovering more and more around the house we decided it best to assume that none of the bedding had been cleaned and spent our first night on vacation cleaning and doing laundry.
(I do have pictures that I am happy to share).

We tried to contact Vacasa via phone and email when we arrived. The phone members we were given both went straight to the same recorded message. Each time we called we were on hold for 20 plus minutes before giving up. There was no way to leave a message and I am still waiting for a reply from the email we sent on Sunday. (It’s now Friday and our trip ended two days ago). Needless to say I will not be renting from you again and I would not recommend to anyone to rent a vacation home from Vacasa either.
Manager response:
Hi! Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear that the home was in this condition upon your arrival - please know that this is not the regular standard for our properties. We apologize for any missteps, as it is never our intention to disappoint. We hope to have the opportunity to better impress you in the future.

My family and I had a great time at Aspen Vista, we can't wait to go buy! We enjoyed our walks around the neighborhoods and a quiet BBQ out on the back deck. Define recommend it!
