Spacious home with spectacular views of ocean & Cape Kiwanda!

Make a great escape to the Cape with your group of up to nine in this beautiful three-bedroom Pacific City vacation rental. You'll find rest and relaxation on the Oregon Coast with nice amenities like a fireplace, a deck with outdoor seating, and panoramic views of Cape Kiwanda.

The location of this home is great: You’re just minutes from both downtown Pacific City and the shore. It’s also tucked away on a private road, so you’ll find plenty of peace and quiet here. Explore tide pools and watch giant waves crash against the shore one mile up the road at Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area; then, in the afternoon or evening, head over to the Pelican Pub and Brewery for a Cape Kiwanda Cream Ale, which pairs quite nicely with the Pacific Northwest cioppino soup.

This coastal retreat is a cozy beach home with modern furnishings, vaulted ceilings, and picture windows, which allow in plenty of natural light. Walk through the front door and into the living room to find a microfiber couch and recliner chair, both of which offer comfy seating affront a gas fireplace and entertainment center. A flatscreen television, complete with a DVD player, offers indoor entertainment on rainy days.

Downstairs, there’s even another entertainment room with wall-to-wall carpet, an even larger flatscreen TV with satellite speakers, and sectional couches for lounging. A Foosball table sits in another room, so have a tournament while you’re here!

Adjacent to the front living room lies the kitchen, which is well-stocked with everything the chef in your group needs to cook. Modern appliances - a microwave, an oven, a gas range, a refrigerator with an icemaker, and a dishwasher - make meal preparation and cleanup easy. Plus, there’s plenty of counter space for lying out ingredients, so feel free to whip up a fantastic feast for your whole group!

And when the meal is ready, share food and lively conversation at either the kitchen island, which has three chairs, or the dining table with seating for six. Enjoy each other’s company, the fresh seafood you’ve cooked up, and the beautiful coastline views from the dining area’s picture widows.

If the forecast calls for sunny skies (yes, they do exist on the coast!), enjoy a fine glass of Oregon Pinot Noir with the company of a loved one on the spacious outdoor deck. Here, you can sit on Adirondack chairs and take in the views and salty ocean air as a general peacefulness sets in.

You’re certainly going to be tired after a long day spent exploring the coastal hiking trails, nearby beach, and the great souvenir shops and quaint restaurants in Pacific City, so come home for a restful slumber in any of the three bedrooms in this home. The master suite contains a king-size bed and the other two rooms each have a twin-over-full bunk bed, one with a trundle.

Up to six adults can comfortably sleep here (and the maximum occupancy is nine). Each cozy bedroom features wall-to-wall carpet, polished wood furniture and large windows. You’ll also feel quite comfortable with all the furnishings of home including dressers, nightstands, reading lamps, and televisions in a few of the rooms.

Need to check your email while you’re here? Go ahead - WiFi is provided. Need to do a load of laundry? No problem - a washer/dryer is also provided.

This home is also near the Nestucca River where you can fish for steelhead and rainbow trout, or kayak, canoe, and even swim during the summer months. Have a picnic, whale watch, or go horseback riding on the beach at Bob Straub State Park, which is an easy one-and-a-half-mile drive south crossing over Nestucca Bay.

Hunting for razor clams on the local beaches is also a fun activity for both kids and adults, and will yield a tasty treat when you boil the clams up back home! If you’re a golfer, make sure to bring your clubs because the area has two great golf courses within a 20-mile drive of Pacific City. Within a quick day trip are also all the fantastic shops (including an outlet mall) in Lincoln City, plus the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory to the north, so you can drive north or south to find fun.

Whether it’s in the rejuvenating rest and relaxation you’ll get, or in the huge variety of activities you’ll have access to, this Northern Oregon Coast vacation rental is an escape from the ordinary and into the extraordinary!

We enjoyed pretty much all aspects of this property: location was close to beach and restaurant/pub; the view was amazing; the vacasa team were quick to respond and courteous; we had tons of space for our party of 6. I would recommend this property to anyone

The house was great for our family. Incredible view and accomadation!

There were 4 of us, and we had plenty of room in this house. Had a great view and two decks. Lovely gas fireplace and two TVs. Really loved it!

Nicely furnished, beautiful view, plenty of room for being together or having multiple activities going at the same time.

It was a lovely view of the Oregon Coast. I wasn’t pleased when I arrived and I had to wait nearly an hour to reach someone for the code to get in. Vacasa never answered the phone and I later found out they assumed my email was something even though I had given them the correct one. We came inside and initially it was very nice. Later I came to realize that the cleaning person did not do a good job. The floors were still dirty. We had to wash the utensils, pots and pans and the master bedroom sheets. It didn’t make me happy when I have to pay $150 for a cleaning fee upfront. Also, for some reason this house had some issues with some spiders in the master bedroom. It could’ve just been the time of year.

The home was nice but I doubt we would stay again.
Manager response:
We apologize for the issues this guest experienced while staying with us. We have followed-up with housekeeping about the several oversights mentioned in this review. We do hope this guest will change their mind and stay with us again.

Beautiful home with great views... Home is open and light, very clean. We had a wonderful time here and would recommend this home!

In Pacific City you have 2 choices of houses. 1. on the sand in an older house with a weird floor plan with old used furniture and linens. 2. Inland a bit but in a newer house with a nice floor plan and with recent and nice furniture and linens. Cape View Escape is the #2 but with a spectacular view!!! It lived up to all the pictures! The house and amenities are nice and clean. This will be my first choice when staying in Pacific City!

A beautiful home with a great View. Easy walk to Pelican Pub and the stores. Lovely paved trails through the homes, everything was perfect! I hope we can come here again, to spend time with our daughters family from Salem and we, who live in Illinois.

The home was large enough that our family of 9 didn't feel cramped. We were able to play games around the kitchen table, let the little ones play, and meal time while I cooked.

The view from the back deck was amazing at sunset and we spent several evening hours out there hanging out with our adult children watching the sun go down and the deer come up to eat.

I highly recommend this home for down time with the family!

Thank you for allowing our family to reconnect in a warm and inviting space!

We really enjoyed our time here. There's plenty of space for a family to spread out and a beautiful view.
Martha R. Aug 2017
The house was clean, open, and spacious with gorgeous views of the ocean. The property sits on a pretty steep hill so there isn't a great place for young children to play, but other than that it was very child friendly. The walk to the beach is .65 miles. Most of it is on a paved path which made the beach feel very accessible. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this home and location!! Thank you!

this is our second year here - we are a family of 5 with kids 17, 15, and 10 and we find there is more than enough room. We've enjoyed the view from the deck and quality of the house - a nice spot for a family vacation!
Matt T. Jul 2017
Great space. Better for one family with lots of kids than for two families just based on the bed configuration, but a really nice house with plenty of space.
Tatyana C. Jul 2017
Beautiful views, awesome house and great location!

We had a great time at this well appointed family home. It has a fantastic view of the weather rolling by and lots of games to play and movies to watch when the rain settles in. The downstairs living area was a great place for the kids to play while the grandparents slept in upstairs. A great vacation house we would be happy to visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay and the amazing view! House was very clean, bright and open. Would stay again!

Great view and great beach for family adventures!

Words are not enough to describe the gorgeous view that is accessible for the entire great room. House is incredibly comfortable and well stocked. The price was amazing considering the view. We paid an additional $25 to obtain a late check out which allowed us to stay until 7 PM instead of 11 AM. What a great and unheard of feature! We had a great time!

We enjoyed our stay. We could hear the ocean. The large windows were like watching a moving and changing painting. Gorgeous views!

Beautiful view, awesome location, lovely home. Looking forward to coming back to this house again.

My husband and I recently stayed here with his mother and sister. We were in the master on the main floor, the mother and sister were down stairs. Plenty of room for everyone. Would be great for a family with children. Lots to do, games, bikes, boogie board, little bit of a ways to walk to beach but very quick drive. Everything was neat and clean. View from back deck was awesome! Fireplace was nice. No complaints whatsoever, would absolutely stay here again!
Jamie E. Aug 2016
The home was emaculate, far exceeded our expectations. Very clean, homey feeling. Everything we needed was there at the house. We brought all of our food and had a wonderful time cooking and just great quality family time. We will certainly go back to this property in the future, and a lot of friends are asking about the home for future vacations themselves! Oh- and best view in the neighborhood!

Beautiful views of haystack rock and cape kiwanda! Cape lookout is a beautiful area as well.
Alexandra Z. Aug 2016
Great view, nice space, comfy beds, and foosball, too. The beach and pub just a 5-minute drive down the hill. Pacific City is a lovely spot for a quiet visit to the coast.

First time to the Oregon coast, we were very happy to have arrived at this house in Pacific City after a rocky start with a minor car accident earlier in the day. A sight for sore eyes, this house was perfect for myself, my elderly parents, and my kids, ages 8-11. My parents took the master on the main floor, which also gave them the beautiful deck to look at the ocean view. My kids and I took the lower level, which came with two bedrooms and a family room with a big tv and foosball table, which we enjoyed. As for Pacific City itself, I was very glad we chose it instead of say, Lincoln City, which we visited but thought it was too touristy for us. Also, Pacific City has the sand dunes and tidepool area we liked to check out We also got to visit Timalook factory and the light house at Cape Meares. But mostly we liked hanging out at the beach, which is just a 5 min walk from the house, and frankly at the house which was just a wonderful spot.

The Cape Escape is the perfect vacation home for a family. From walking in the front door and being greeted by an amazing sunset out the wall of windows to family coffee on the deck to game nights at the table, it has everything you could want. The home is well equipped. There was nothing that we needed that wasn't there. There is enough space to spread out. The only thing I would note that was not an issue for us is if you have young children that like to play outside this home does not have a yard to play in as it is on a steep hill. The walk to the beach takes about 10 minutes and our grown kids did it daily if not multiple times a day. At night we would put the fire gear in the car and drive it right to the beach and drive on the sand so the distance to the beach was no issue and, in fact, the amazing views and quiet you get from being on the hill makes this location ideal. We were so very sad to leave and hope to return again in the not to distant future.

Pacific City is a hidden gem. Small town compared to Lincoln City and Cannon Beach but we love that. You have groceries, a great Pub on the beach. Really everything you could need. We did hiking and beach-combing and generally had a great time exploring and spending time together. I think Pacific City has something for all ages as my big kids enjoyed exploring the Cape. Eat your Wheaties and climb the dune!

Great place for an annual beach trip

We visited the Tillamook Cheese factory, the lighthouses, local waterfalls, Newport's undersea garden, and other spots. But mostly we enjoyed this lovely well kept home and spending time together. (It was my birthday) We made some great meals there and some great memories. This house is so well kept and so well stocked. Kids wpuld LOVE IT!! It was the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation I believe we've ever had. No pressure, no traffic and long lines. We are planning another get away for September, and Jasemine knows just what we are looking for. I didn't even want to come home! lol...so can't wait for September! Thank you Vacasa, and God bless...

We stayed here the week after Christmas with our four boys and could not be happier about the entire vacation. The house has an amazing view, and is a 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk down to Cape Kiwanda, one of the best beaches on the Oregon Coast with a spectacular dune. The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed to cook most of our meals at the house. The fireplace makes the upper room cozy, and the basement entertainment room was such a hit with our boys. The owners have included kites, bikes, boogy boards, and sand toys for the beach. There are movies, games, toys and puzzles as well which we enjoyed a lot. The house furniture is comfortable, and the home is located in a peaceful neighborhood. I would highly recommend this home for families with children as there is a little bit of everything including bunk beds and a fabulous balcony. Thanks to the owners for sharing their home with us for a relaxing week and great family memories.

We have stayed here a number of times, and this home affords a lovely view, a quiet surrounding, and all the amenities one might like to have. We saw several deer in the neighborhood, and we enjoyed being able to drive down to the beach and walk when the weather permitted. The location of the house allows for an expansive view while also being out of direct tsunami threat! Plenty of bathrooms for a family, kitchen space for more than 1 cook in the group, and 2 comfortable living spaces for all ages. Thank you for making our holiday stay so wonderful!
Greg L. Aug 2015
Yes, I know, you are not on the beach, but you can't beat the view of the haystack rock from the ridge. The house worked well for my family (two boys ages 3 & 5) and my parents. The only quip would be the double bunk bed set up in the two downstairs bedrooms. The bottom bunks are full size, and you can squeeze two adults in, but not ideal. The master suite for my parents was very spacious and provided a good retreat from the boys. Kitchen is well appointed with most everything you need (except of functioning can opener). Wifi worked great, even better than our house in Portland. And they had some DVD/VHS movies for the kids, including the Star Wars trilogy (Yes!). My boys loved the foosball table downstairs. In the garage were a couple of bikes, some boogie boards, kites, gas grill and a razor scooter. Plenty to keep the boys occupied. On the whole, a very enjoyable weekend. Glad we picked Pacific City.
