Magnificent log home w/views of Quandary Peak from inside & outside!

Take in the views of Quandary Peak from this beautiful Breckenridge vacation rental. Its log cabin style creates a relaxing getaway when you next visit the Colorado Rockies!

This home is a great location for visitors looking for year-round mountain recreation. It is located about eight miles south of downtown Breckenridge, and just nine miles away from the slopes of Breckenridge Ski Resort. It's roughly 26 miles to both A-Basin and Copper Mountain ski areas, and 45 miles to Vail.

Grand in size and stunning in its construction, this lovely cabin has a classic homey feel with two floors of living space and plenty of natural light.

The main living space is on the second floor with a deck looking straight out to Quandary Peak and its foothills. The views are just as good inside from the comfort of the sofa beside the gas stove. Check the snow reports via WiFi while curled in an armchair.

The spacious kitchen with a vintage feel makes it easy for multiple guests to cook together while enjoying conversations with others at the dining table. During the warm months, gather for meals as a family at the outdoor banquet table, and grill up some yummy barbecue on the grill. Both tables comfortably seat eight guests. Load the dishwasher after dinner for hands-free cleaning.

Downstairs is a casual den area for mid-day sports games on cable, quiet reading, or getting some work done in the office area. There's a keyboard for the musically inclined, and a second deck with forest views. This cozy den space is a great room for the kids to hang out in while the adults enjoy some wine upstairs.

Up to 10 guests (eight adults maximum, please) will sleep comfortably in four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is a loft above the garage offering a bit more privacy with two sets of twin-over-double bunk style beds. In the main house there is one room with two twin-size beds, and two more rooms with a queen-size bed in each. All of the bedrooms welcome sleepy visitors with rustic charm and warm quilts. This home is well-equipped for a group of friends and couples, or a family with kids traveling together.

Both full bathrooms have stand up showers, and the half bathroom downstairs is shared by the laundry room for mid-vacation loads.

This cozy log home offers immediate access to year-round paths perfect for hiking and biking in the summer, or snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the winter. A sledding hill is nearby for the kids (or young at heart) to whiz down before coming inside for hot chocolate and a board game.

The home's location in a quiet, spread out neighborhood surrounded by forest means that sledding, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing opportunities are just outside your front door!

Hitting the slopes has never been easier with a home so close to four different resorts. This rental is a great pick for guests who love to ski but don't love the packed crowds of the base villages. Even so, driving into downtown Breckenridge for a day of shopping and dining is just a short trip for a day of fun!

Avid hikers are just a few short miles away from the base of Quandary Peak, one of many Colorado fourteeners, and the shores of Dillon Reservoir for water recreation of all sorts.

Experience the high mountains of Colorado with a getaway in this charming Summit County vacation rental.

If you don’t have a Jeep or an all wheel drive vehicle I wouldn’t choose this spot because you’ll never be able to get into the driveway without risking your car.
Manager response:
We are sorry to see if this guest struggled to get up the driveway. It is quite steep, especially with any snow pack, so we do suggest 4x4 in the winter months.

View was breathtaking and house was gorgeous.

I loved the cabin's location.
Another bathroom with shower would be great.
The decor is a little outdated as well as the appliances.
Internet is kind of slow and phone communications are not very good.
I would update the furniture and appliances.
But besides that we had a great time and wouldn't mind staying here again.

The house is spacious and very well-kept. It was a bit hard to find at night, though, because we didn't see a house number from the street and the house is set back with a long driveway. I would also recommend a 4WD or AWD vehicle, as the snow on the steep driveway gave one of our cars a lot of trouble.

The Daniel's house was a great weekend away for our family. The house had wonderful views of Mount Quandry. While the house was a little further from downtown Breck than we'd originally thought, it was close enough to enjoy both the town and to be tucked away. There are plenty of beds in the home to accommodate lots of people. The listing claims to have four bedrooms and a loft - it is more like four bedrooms and an extra living room with a pullout. Thanks so much for opening up your home to our family for the weekend.

We were very happy with the location and the scenic views. The accommodations we're certainly very good.

Wonderful views. A home away from home.

Great property to sit and relax outside!

This house far exceeded our expectations. The pictures don't do justice to the house or the view. There was plenty of room for the 6 adults and 3 kids. The house is so well maintained and equipped with everything you could need and more. Mount Quandry is framed by the trees and provides exceptional views for morning coffee or an evening drink. There were plenty of movies and games for the kids and they enjoyed playing music on the keyboard. The location is perfect. It is away form town and quiet but an easy 10 min drive to downtown Breckenridge. We can't wait to come back and experience the beautiful views and this amazing house again!

The cabin and location are awesome. It wasn't the cleanest but not too bad. The mattresses on the cabin were absolutely awful. There was supposed to be 2 queens and 4 twins. In the main house there was only 1 queen, 1 full that WAS NOT EVEN a mattress, it was a full box spring with a 4 inch foam mattress topper as the mattress. Due to that "bed" being useles to sleep on, folks had to get the mattresses from the guest room that was disconnected from the house and sleep on the floor to be close to the rest of the family. The homeowners should be ashamed they expect people to rest comfortably on those awful mattresses.

Outside of that, that views and the area is awesome. Do yourself a favor and call to ensure the mattresses have been replaced or pay a tiny bit more and go elsewhere.

Excellent Location and views!

This beautiful house, located about 15 minutes south of Breckenridge ski area, is cozy and warm. Comfortable space for our family of 5 and could easily accommodate more! Kids found the board games immediately and enjoyed playing the keyboard. Shelves filled with books! Gas warming stoves in both living room and family room. Uncomplicated instructions for the stay. Pots, pans and more make kitchen use just like home! Need a 4 wheel drive (possibly chains) for access to driveway during snowy / icy weather. No street parking.

We spent a week at the Daniels Mtn. Lodge after our son received his Masters Degree at Colorado School of Mines. The house was just right for us. It had an open kitchen within the living and dining room space overlooking a beautiful mountain peak. This made it easy for us to be altogether in one room while people were cooking. We didn't go out to eat at all, cooking all our meals and eating them together in our lovely home. It was the perfect family vacation.
