Gorgeous oceanfront condo w/ incredible ocean views, easy beach access!

Make a great escape to the majestic Central Oregon Coast in this two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom Depoe Bay vacation rental. Bring your group of up to six people for a relaxing weekend or extended stay in this updated seaside retreat, which features amazing ocean views, a gas fireplace, and close proximity to the beach.

The location of this home gives quick access to the best of the coast: Miles of pristine coastline lie just beyond your doors, while eclectic restaurants and boutique shops are a short walk or drive north or south on Highway 101. Begin your day with a fresh cup of coffee at the Pirate Coffee Company, then head over to the beach at Fogarty Creek State Park Park, about two miles north, to explore tide pools and hunt for razor clams deposited on the shore.

This vacation rental is a modern take on the classic beach home aesthetic. It features gorgeous hardwood floors and walls in a beautiful interior replete with large picture windows and thoughtful furnishings. With a DVD player, a cable-equipped flatscreen TV, a wet bar, and comfortable seating on microfiber sectional couches, the living room is a center for indoor entertainment.

Turn on the fireplace and warm yourself after a long day spent hiking in the Coast Range or exploring the Otter Crest Loop by bike. Pop in a DVD or gather your group to play a board game - either way, you’ll be able to fully relax in this room.

Adjacent to the living room sits the kitchen, which is well-stocked with everything needed to cook up a fantastic feast for your group, and clean up quickly afterwards thanks to a dishwasher and ample counter space. Use the space to prepare a fresh seafood meal, then sit down to eat with your group in the dining nook, which features a glass-top table.

After a hearty dinner and a full day of sightseeing in Depoe Bay, find restful slumber in either of the home’s two bedrooms, both of which are master suites with their own attached bathrooms. With a king-size bed in one room, a double bed in the other, and two twin-size cots, up to six people can comfortably sleep here. Each bedroom has large picture windows with great coastal views, as well as artful furnishings that add both warmth and class to the space.

Feel free to pack light, since a washer/dryer is provided. And if you need to check your email you can easily do so with the home's provided WiFi. Outside, there's even a bench where you can sit and gaze at the sea or watch for marine life right from the yard.

Known as the whale-watching capital of the Oregon Coast, Depoe Bay offers seasonal opportunities (typically December through March) to get up close and personal with migrating grey whales. Head out with a charter, like Whale’s Tale Boat Tours, to witness breaching whales, playful dolphins, and abundant sea life off the coast. You could also book a deep-sea fishing or crabbing expedition or launch your own boat from the marina. Or you may prefer to stay closer to the shore and explore Depoe Bay’s unique downtown area, which includes souvenir shops, local art galleries, and fabulous restaurants.

On the south to side of town is the Whale, Sea life and Shark Museum, where your whole family or a group of friends can go on a brief tour and learn about whales, sea lions, seals, and rare birds of the Oregon Coast. Another sure bet for daytime fun is a trip to the Whale Watching Center, where a trained staff of volunteers can assist you in using binoculars to spot whales right off the coast - and you won’t even have to get your feet wet!

So pack your bags - and don’t forget to bring your sense of adventure - when you book this Central Oregon Coast vacation rental today!

* Please note that due to minor construction, the roof has a few small leaks when it rains. There are containers near the bedroom window and in the closet to catch any drips, and we believe this small issue will not affect your stay. Thank you!

Gary H. Apr 2019
Very nice place. Peaceful view of the harbor.
Charles M. Feb 2019
The view, the location what is not to like. However there were a few minor maintenance related items we noticed such as water stains. Also it would have been nice to have a few starter coffee pods for the coffee maker. Overall though the unit is a good stay.
Janet G. Jan 2019
Walking distance to downtown Depoe Bay.
Steve T. Dec 2018
Clean, comfortable and well located. The view of Depot Bay was a great place to watch the waves crashing into the shore. Loved it!
Patricia R. Oct 2018
Loved the decorators blend of contemporary, bling and antiques. It takes real talent to blend them all. The unit was comfortable and cozy on a cold weekend. Unit could have been a little cleaner. I had to wash the window to enjoy the view and the carpet on the stairs appeared to need vacuuming. We enjoyed our stay and would stay in the unit again.

We traveled with 9 & 10 year old grandkids, the location was excellent for our purpose. The condo is dated, well enough equipped and sufficient.
Beth B. Jul 2018
Loved the view, we watched whales in the bay! Close to town too!
Ryan D. Jul 2018
Great View of Depoe Bay. The Master Bedroom has great view to the bay. Whales swimming by all day.
Linda R. Jun 2018
The apartment was everything I had hoped for. A view of the ocean, brand new and clean, beautifully appointed. I would stay again.

Comfortable, clean and convenient.
Wini B. Apr 2018
Nice & cozy place. A few minor issues and or happenings... but over all a nice stay.
Heidi S. Apr 2018
The condo is gorgeous, warm and cozy. There was a huge storm so we watched the wild ocean waves from inside by the fireplace. We also enjoyed the local restaurants, whale museum, a glass blowing session and looking for glass floats in nearby Lincoln city.
Ray P. Apr 2018
Awesome location -- close to everything in Depoe Bay. Easy drive north to Lincoln City and south to Newport. Nice accommodations with gorgeous ocean view. Kitchen stocked with everything you need along with both a Mr Coffee pot and a Keurig for those one cuppers. Living area, kitchen and half bath on main floor with 2 bedrooms, each with their own bath, upstairs. Highly recommend the Whale Song!
Ave G. Feb 2018
Have stayed here many times but we prefer the admiral units as we like the floor plan better. But when they are not available theses are still the best in depot bay.
Gary C. Feb 2018
This condo complex has been a favorite for decades. Easy access to Lincoln City, Newport Bay, hiking trails, whale watching, light houses. Beautiful ocean views from the big living room and master bedroom windows.
Holly H. Jan 2018
The view pointed us right at the magnificent show that the storm provided!
Robyn L. Dec 2017
We have stayed here a total of 3 times and we love it. We will definitely be back again.

Nice place, comfortable and has a great ocean view!

Gorgeous view but the owners could maximize with less furniture overall and put a table and chairs by the front window. Outdoor chairs a must; would be nice to sit on the patio with coffee on a sunny morning.
Clean and well equipped.
Katie M. Aug 2017
The condo was very nice and clean, us and another couple and our kids fit perfectly. The only thing I would say was not satisfactory was the oven. It didn't hear up very fast and it took us over 2 hours to cook dinner. Other than that is was very fun and the master bedroom had an incredible view of the ocean!
Ted L. Aug 2017
Good location for open ocean views and whale watching. Good coffee shop and restaurant very close by.
Sarah C. Aug 2017
Was so nice! Loved all the attention to detail!!! One reviewer stated there was knickknacks that made it feel crowed- did not find this to be the case at all- very elegant, my husband and our 3 girls loved! Wish you could walk down to beach from property but you could hear the ocean (at night when traffic is slower) and see whales (blowing etc.) from the window! Would stay here again!
Gary S. Jun 2017
This house is in a good location with a really pretty view. The size of the condo was good for too couples and the kitchen was well stocked. It just had a crowded feeling because of all the knick knacks and extra furniture in the home.
Hannah T. Jun 2017
There's a restaurant super close by called Tidal Raves right on the water that has great food and beautiful views. There's also a coffee shop super close that you can walk to for delicious morning coffee. Whale Tale Charters is a few blocks away where Captain Gary was able to take us out on a boat to see the Gray whales up close. He said there is also killer whales in the area sometimes, and they get humpbacks swimming through in late summer. You can spot whale spouts pretty often from the back porch on the property. The public bench near the cliff behind the property is a nice place to sit and take in the view. LOVED Depoe Bay and nearby Newport, will definitely be visiting again!

Having a kitchen casserole dish to catch the rainwater at the leaking window, and 2 55 gallon trash cans to catch the rainwater in what would have been the closet is not worth the rent I paid to stay in this unit! I would hope that this was an exception to Vacasa's rules, and that they don't usually fail to disclose structural issues in the rentals they manage. I will give a good word for the property management staff that eventually got in touch with me, as they did offer to relocate us the first night -- however, my elderly mother was exhausted, and to pack up everything and move to a new venue after 9:00 pm would have done her in. Do your research before paying the money for rent!
Manager response:
We apologize the leaking roof is still an issue at this home. The owner has replaced the roof twice, and this issue is still occurring. We are working with the manufacturer and installer to be sure this problem is taken care of. In the meantime, we have added a note to the home's description regarding the problem so no one is taken by surprise. This guest was refunded for the inconvenience. Thank you!

If you want a great view and a beautiful condo....this is the place.
Harmony F. Sep 2016
The unit was spotless when my boyfriend and I arrived. It had absolutely lovely furnishings and décor, we felt truly at home. The bed in the master bedroom was heavenly and very comfortable. I will miss waking up to the ocean. It was a wonderful experience overall and would highly recommend this unit. We are definitely planning a repeat trip to this property.
Sharon S. Sep 2016
The decor and cleanliness of the place is terrific. Yes, there is a nice view of the bay, but you really can't see the whales. Must go into town by bridge. Perhaps could see them if there were binoculars or a telescope in the property. Once in a while you can see a blow in the distance.
Cherie F. Sep 2016
We rented this property in late August and it was great. Close to everything and beautiful view. Would love to come and stay again.
Claudia H. Aug 2016
My family and I had a last minute getaway here and it was just delightful! Whales were out and can watch from inside. Great shops walking distance.
Karen G. Aug 2016
Great location in between Lincoln city and Newport. Plus the whale watching at Depoe Bay, in fact from the front window was amazing.
J. Casey And Kenna Y. Jul 2016
Enjoyed it very much thank you
Evgeny R. Jul 2016
We stayed in this property for weekend , family with 3 kids.
Apartment was spotless, from floor, to restrooms and bedding was perfect,
It has fresh painting, kitchenware looks like new also sheets blankets and pillows .
Basically you get what you see on the pictures (doesn’t happen a lot) . The main thing is a view from window!
We get cut by the heavy rain on beginning of July most of our plans was canceled due to unexpected weather but
We spent it nicely in warm living room with nice view and fireplace.

The main difficulty we had upon arriving was that the condo had never been cleaned from the previous occupants. After 4 hours of leaving voice mails, we were finally able to reach a manager to describe the situation. We ourselves, stripped one of the beds and washed the bedding ourselves so we had a clean bed to sleep in. The following morning we received a call from housekeeping and they were there within an hour to clean and make the condo acceptable. PLEASE NOTE: This was not the housekeeping crew who were scheduled to clean the day we arrived. These two lades were exceptional in every way. After they finished, the condo was good to go and we enjoyed the place. Downtown Depoe Bay so easy to walk to from the condo which is very convenient. Tidal Raves restaurant right next door with excellent service and food. Whale Watching Center in town always an informative place to stop and visit.
Manager response:
We are very sorry that housekeeping missed cleaning this home. This is an unusual situation for us, and we will be sure to follow-up with the cleaning staff.
Lovella R. Apr 2016
very nice place. We needed to call maintenance to finish cleaning the master bath.
Manager response:
Thank you for reaching out to us and giving us an opportunity to help you during your stay. We appreciate you choosing Vacasa!
Michael W. Apr 2016
We have stayed in this condo and loved it on our first visit and even more on our second. quiet except for the relaxing sound of the ocean. a major bonus is the very comfortable bed.

Beautiful Depoe Bay
Raychel B. Dec 2015
We just spent 4 days at The Whale Song and it was spectacular. The minute we walked into the living room, we were awed by the view of the wave spout and downtown Depoe Bay.

The bedrooms are all upstairs, which makes this Not Grandma Friendly for us, but that's okay as we mostly sneak off without her. The view from the Master Bed was wonderful. I'd wake up early and open the blinds so I could just lay and watch the waves. Best way to wake up in the morning!

There were really only two things that would bring my rating down a little. For the money I spent off season (lowest poss rate), it was livable and we'd probably go again.

These two items were the living area smelled of wet dog for about two days. The couch was the worse, like a dog had slept on it. The other is the Master Bathroom tub/shower. Part of the tub was not renovated and has an odd 80's rock design that has trapped water and gotten moldy. It's pretty gross. The shower is also hard to get into, even with the handles to grab onto.

These two items can and my guess will eventually get fixed, it was otherwise a wonderfully partially renovated condo with a view like no other!
Manager response:
We apologize for any unpleasant odor in this home that caused our guest to think pets had been there. This is not a pet friendly home, and no dogs have been in the home that we have ever been aware of. There are real wool rugs in the home that might, at times, smell of sheep and can take several months to stop shedding. We believe this is what the guest was noticing during their visit. Again, we apologize for any unpleasant odors and are delighted to see this guest otherwise enjoyed their stay.

This newly refurbished condo is close to downtown Depoe Bay and has a nice view of the bay area. End unit, away from the highway with minimal road noise. Steps down to living room area and bedrooms are both upstairs so not a handicap accessible unit.
