Charming dog-friendly cottage with everything you need within walking distance!
Plan an all American vacation in this cozy Coeur d'Alene cottage with dog-friendly accommodations and a convenient downtown location! The retreat is perfect come summer or winter, as the region boasts world-class outdoor recreation and small-town charm.
The vintage two-story home is just over a mile from downtown and swimming at City Park & Beach. Major attractions like Silverwood Theme Park and Silver Mountain Resort are all within 35 miles!
The story-book style cottage was built in the 1920s and was fully renovated. Everything from its cobble stone foundation, to the enclosed yard, and hardwood floors is welcoming. The main level of the home offers a living room, sun room, kitchen, and dining room.
Entertain guests with a Blu-ray DVD from the library or boardgames in the eclectic living room. Leather furniture, decorative throw pillows, and cheery decor will invite guests to immediately curl up and relax in the space.
The kitchen is fully stocked with modern appliances (including a dishwasher) so you can host a fish bake with salmon caught fresh from the lake and herbs gathered at the downtown farmers market. Dine at the casual kitchen table or serve guests in the bright formal dining room.
Extra features like central AC, WiFi, and a washer and dryer will make guests feel right at home.
The sun and fresh mountain air will beckon you outside! Flip hot dogs and corn on the cob on the gas grill for a Fourth of July barbecue or uncork a bottle of wine for a romantic evening. Don't leave your furry companions at home! Two dogs are welcome for an additional fee. The fenced yard even has a dog run so you can keep Fido active when he's not playing fetch in the lake!
Beyond your cozy cottage the lakefront city awaits, boasting unique stores, art galleries, and outdoor equipment rentals! If you can dream it, you can do it including stand-up paddleboarding, jetskiing, cliff jumping, and parasailing. Wander the Coeur d'Alene National Forest with hiking poles or mountain bike across endless single-track trails.
Visit in winter for tubing and skiing at Silver Mountain Resort or check out the powder runs at Mt. Spokane or Schweitzer just over an hour's drive!
Very clean and centrally located. Was large enough to have great family time. Sharon

The house was everything they said it was. Very charming, well appointed, really clean and well taken care of. We had a great stay in Couer d Alene.

The house was great, super cute and cozy. My family and I enjoyed it very much! Would recommend to everyone. Awesome location close to shops and dinning.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time here! The home is close to downtown and within walking distance to most amenities.

The home is cute and eclectic. It was easy to hop in the car and drive downtown. Grocery store is nearby and neighborhood is quiet. The house was clean and comfortable.

The house is old and it feels (especially in its squeaky floors), but it also gives it a lot of charm. There was everything we needed for our comfortable stay - towels, shampoo, soap etc., as well as fully stocked kitchen. Location is great - close to highway, at the same time very private and quiet. Big trees in the yard are so beautiful! Enough space for 2 families (8 people in total). Would gladly stay here again.

Great location. Cute and cozy little house. Plenty of room for us four sisters.

Our family including parents and 3 adult children found this rental cozy and likable. Nice vintage boho decor. We would recommend a mattress upgrade for adults sleeping in the Zebra room . Also please know that walks from the property to attractions may be somewhat challenging especially in the winter, as there are no sidewalks. This is a nice cottage in a great location via car.

This is a great house with lots of space to hang out. I has a very comfortable, pleasant interior. There is a large kitchen and living room with 3 nicely sized bedrooms. There is a nice fenced-in yard with large, mature trees. The location was nice, but it was difficult to walk downtown from this location as the sidewalks were all snowed in along busy roads. But it was a nice, quiet neighborhood in a convenient location by car.

Enjoyed staying at the "cottage" - good location, cute house and quiet neighborhood -

This place was just perfect for us it was so close to our family and all the surrounding beautiful places to visit. We would love to come back

Quiet location within an easy walk for my family. Children's swing set (reason I chose) pictured in photos was not there when we arrived.
Front door lock, very awkward.
Apart from that we enjoyed our stay.
We apologize for the disappointments this guest experienced. The primary entry and lockbox are at the rear of the home. The swing set was outdated and removed by the owner. We will take new pictures and have them posted in the near future. Thanks!

Nice and clean. Had everything you could really need to make a nice meal.

Our stay here was very comfortable and restful. This older home is full of character both architecturally and decorating-wise, and the neighborhood is very quiet. I would definitely recommend this home and would definitely stay here again!

Super convenient and way cooler than a hotel! A terrific, fair value in the heart of town. We stayed here twice.

As far as the location of the house, the furniture, kitchen, bedrooms, basement and yard it was great! However, the overwhelming smell of cat urine in the living room was gross! They said that cats were not allowed but obviously that rule was not enforced. I would not use Vacasa again and would not recommend it. We were offended by the maintenance man's actions and lack of concern until we were able to, with out a doubt, prove to him that there was cat urine in the home. We paid a good amount of money, it's one thing to have it smell but a whole other problem when we were, in not so many words called liars by the maintenance man. What an unfortunate turn of events in such a cute little home and in an awesome city!
We are sorry to see that there was an unpleasant odor in the home, and we are very sorry to see that this guest felt mistreated by one of our team members. The carpets and rugs in this home have been professionally cleaned to remove the odor.

Very quiet neighborhood. Wife loved the loved the eclectic artistic furniture in the house and the house in general. Spent the mornings walking around Lake Coeur d'Alene and on the Centennial Trail. Close location to pretty much everything in Coeur d'Alene. Nice fenced yard to let my dog run around in.

Great place. We could not find anything wrong with this house. Thumbs up!!

This is an older house and could use some updates. It is located in an older neighborhood, not the nicest looking but it was very quite. This being an older house with hard wood floors they squeaked a lot. I agree with one of the other reviews that it needs a secure locking door in the back not just a screen door. The house was not the cleanest as there was a thick layer of dust under the lounger that that you could see from the couch. Looked like it hadn't been clean in a long time. Other furniture items were not dusted either. The bath tub had soap scum and hair left in it. I am sure it is due to the the fact that drain must be clogged because it drains very slowly(so slow that you are standing in a puddle of water while you are showering) but it had not been cleaned before we got there and the toilet was dirty. The house could use a good deep clean. One other thing that they should consider is getting cable as there isn't much to watch except old TV shows. With all that being said we enjoyed having the kitchen and being able to cook in and it was nice having the fence so our dog could play outside.. We had fun being able to hang with our friends. Our teenagers enjoyed the space in the basement where they could hang out away from the parents. With the exception of a few minor things we had a good weekend.
Thank you for your review. We apologize that the house had not been properly cleaned; we will be sure to follow-up with housekeeping regarding our cleanliness standards. We appreciate your suggestions for the back door and cable and will run them past the owners. Thank you for choosing Vacasa!

We had a great stay in this wonderful little home. It's bigger inside than you would ever guess--our little boys loved the fun downstairs room! North Idaho gets chilly and damp in the winter, but many homes there were built with summer in mind, because summer there is as perfect as summer gets. We visited in January, and while we were grateful for throws to cuddle under at times, the bright dining room with its windows charmed us all. The furnace worked well, the bedrooms were warm, and we had absolutely everything we needed. Whoever designed the interior is absolutely brilliant--it's such a happy artistic mix of midcentury modern, artsy bohemian, a whisper of Victoriana, color, texture, and that chaise! All the charm of the 1920s in the cabinetry and wood floors, with all the critical modern updates. (Note: the floors are original and the wood creaks, and the stairway to the downstairs is a bit tight, but we liked the quirks and quaintness!)
I felt like a family guest when I saw the children's art taped to the upper landing wall and the cute Disney details in the kitchen.
The area of town is convenient to everything, an older bit of town with some cute little historic homes tucked among the simpler dwellings.

The house was very cute and fit our families needs. The house needs a back secured door not just a locking screen door. You enter through the back yard which is not inviting at all. Over all the house its self was great but surrounding area not the best.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate your feedback and will take it to the owner. We are glad to see that you enjoyed the house!

It was just what we needed for a family get together. I would say it sleeps 8 comfortably. You could add an additional air mattress in the basement if you have more people than that. It has everything we needed to cook and stay clean.

The house was bigger then we thought it would be which was great. Lovely home. Perfect for us to use as a home base for exploring the area.
