We loved this house! It was perfect for our family of 8 (3 adults, 2 teens, 3 kids). The home was clean, well kept and beautiful! Very close to the water and the boardwalk made hauling our beach gear much easier. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook and eat at home. Master bedroom views were gorgeous! We felt right at home and can’t wait to come back next summer! Thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise with us!

We absolutely loved the house, the new deck and boardwalk, beach chairs/umbrella included with rental and the location on one of our favorite beaches. We have been vacationing on the Emerald coast for 20 plus years but this was our first time with Vacasa. We had originally rented through Wyndham but the property changed hands after booking. I loved the use of the app. It was seamless. I did have an issue with customer service as there is none in the local area that you may access. When you have an issue you are sent to someone in Oregon to “open a ticket”. We lost water for a few hours during the day and had some small things that my husband called about: ice maker, no baking pans, a sink stopper that would not open in the master making the sink unusable, lack of light bulbs and no back porch lights that were working. All minor things. We were told a ticket was opened up on the Saturday we arrived and we would hear from someone but didn’t. The tank on the grill ran out at the end of our stay and we were still waiting to hear from the original phone call so we didn’t report because we didn’t want to stay on the phone with Oregon any more during our vacation. I called after our stay and they said there was not a ticket opened up on the original call so no one locally would have ever called us. Maintenance did show up the day before we left because they had been alerted by housekeeping the week before about the lights on the porch not working and they were installing new that day. I asked them to fix the sink drain while they were there. They were very kind and gracious. No problems with them at all. I have never rented a home, condo or beach house where a baking sheet or baking pan was not standard. Vacasa said that is considered an “extra item”. I flew to the beach so next time I will have to pack a baking sheet/pan in my carry on with Vacasa. Noted. Vacasa said they have hired so many new people they are still trying to train and that could be my issue why a ticket was not opened on the original call. I also looked to book the same house next year and the rate is up by almost $200/night from what I booked during the same time. So, house: wonderful, location: wonderful, customer service/follow up: not so wonderful. My suggestion: have a way on the app to report a problem locally via text alert to the local property manager. There is someone locally but you are not allowed their contact. If I cannot have a local number or local contact there should be a way to send a text message or email that someone will see locally especially when I lose water for whatever the reason may be.
Manager response:
Hello, Megan! Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for bringing your in-home concerns to our attention right away, we acknowledge there was a ball dropped with customer service and apologize for the inconvenience. Please know this is normally not the case. We encourage guests to call back if a resolution has not been made in a timely manner and we would be happy to revisit the issue on your behalf. We understand that your time is precious and acknowledge that having to be on the phone can be a detriment, but want to be sure we have the opportunity work with you to reach an appropriate solution for all issues that arise. We have notified our local staff about your suggestion with the baking pan as well as having a local point of contact, and will use this to improve this home for future reservations. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback. Thank you for staying with us, we hope for the opportunity to impress you in the future!
