Smack dab in the middle of Park City's town and the house was perfect for our needs.
We enjoyed the property completely. We stayed at a miners cabin intentionally and had different expectations than we would have at a new property in Deer Valley.
It is not ornate or in any way extravagant. It is current and more than comfortable.
I read prior reviews expressing dissatisfaction with mattresses. We do not share that view. We slept comfortably, loved the proximity to village activities and were completely satisfied.
The cabin was charming, clean, & updated. When booking it, I didn't realize the living area & master suite were downstairs in the basement, which wasn't accessible for my elderly mother, who was traveling with us. But the floor plan actually worked well for us because we congregated in the dining room on the main floor for meals & board games, so my mother didn't need to go downstairs. Also, the downstairs provided privacy for the family members staying down there. Kitchen was well equipped with upgraded appliances & plentiful dishes, cookware, utensils, etc. We ate all our meals there in the cabin because kitchen & dining room were so convenient & spacious. Location was convenient also - it was just a short walk to catch the Main Street trolley for shopping & ice cream, but the hill to the trolley stop would be too steep for someone not fully ambulatory. I was a little concerned that cabin would be too hot at the end June with no air conditioning, but ceiling fans kept the rooms cool. The only problem we had with this rental is that parking is so limited. Our vehicles were too large to park both of them in the driveway (only enough space for two small cars or one large vehicle), and there is no street parking. Therefore, we had to park one car at the free Sandridge lot, which is not too far to walk but still somewhat of a hassle. We really enjoyed our stay at this home & would definitely rent it again.
Can't beat the location for access to town, right off Park City's main street in the historic district. Cute "cabin" look. Everything clean and functional. We rented to attend July wedding. Didn't realize house had no AC so family suffered with the heat. Would not rent again in the summer months. Only other downside was lack of a view which is understandable given "urban" location.
Nice and cozy place suited us well and was close to Main Street activities!
Location location location. And very comfortable house. Thank you!
clean well maintained renovated cabin in the perfect spot. End of the street so not a lot of noise but still within walking distance to great bars and restaurants.
this place was fantastic, great location, comfortable, all the conveniences of home. The biggest plus it was very clean and well maintained!
Simple house in a great location. Most everything you need. Well maintained. Great experience.
Close to Main Street. Would not recommend for those w mobility problems but we were very happy w it.
I stayed here for 2 nights while I was in Park City for business. The location is perfect walking distance to anything in downtown Park City and hiking trails are nearby. The cabin is a nice size with 2 upstairs rooms and a third downstairs. The Vacasa team was very helpful. I will be back!
Couldnt have been more convenient to old town and the mountain. House is good size with a fun layout.
Had a blast in Park City! The Miner Cabin was in such a perfect location to everything in town and skiing! We will likely request this rental again in the future!
We were in Park City for the Sundance Film Festival and for skiing. The property was well suited to our group of 4. Two of us had our own bedroom and two shared the 3rd bedroom. There were 2 small kitchens, and the main one was well equipped. It seems like the house had been recently renovated, everything seemed newish, and clean and well organized. The location was good - walkable to the restaurants, etc on Main Street. Main Street has an incline, we were near the top, which made for a walk uphill at the end of the day, but there is a trolley that stops near the house. Overall I have no complaints, it was a great place to stay!
I recommend any family staying here. It had everything you need for a great vacation.
This place is aweseome! Upstairs 2 bedrooms very nice, kitchen small but easy to get around. Super basement with TV, couches and another bedroom, washing machine. Decorated very tastefully. Does not have AC, but ceiling fans cool things down. I would rent this place every time if I could and buy it if it was for sale!
A gem! Just off Main street. Great Views, nice and quite and private.
Cabin has been nicely renovated except for carpeting on stairs and family room and the family room furniture. Can walk to everything on Main street. Good off street parking for one car. Kitchen is small but ok for making breakfast which is the only meal we cooked. Could not find directions for coffee machine but was able to figure out how to make coffee. Cable package was very limited. Unable to watch NBA or NHL playoffs at night. No CNN or Fox news but didn't really care. Good place to watch games is No Name Saloon on Main.
Great location! Super cute little house that has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Walkable to anywhere in old-town Park City.
Location is great and convenient to town.
When we checked in (at 4 PM), there was a plumber and his staff replacing the water heater until about 8:30 that night. I noticed previous reviews (after booking) that stated they had little to no hot water so I am surprised that it was only then being worked on. Some of the work he was doing caused the fire alarm to go off repeatedly and we had to stand outside because it was so loud. Because our first night was basically ruined, we attempted to receive compensation for our first night. I was working on that until day 3 of our trip. The worst part was that we received NO customer service from the regional manager or general manager. Finally, someone from customer service assisted me with our first night's compensation.
Aside from that, the house was somewhat clean, but the beds, laundry room, and floors were quite dirty. As another review mentions, there is a loud banging sound that is quite disruptive coming from the laundry room. Every time the water was turned on we could hear it, especially the person sleeping downstairs. Just FYI, the living area is downstairs and only has seating for four people. They claim to have cable, but it is only about 6 channels. However, there is a DVD player! The kitchen/dining area were great.
I truly wish this review could have been nicer! The location was great and Park City is beautiful!
We are sorry to read about these disappointments during this guest's stay and hope they still made pleasant memories while staying with us.
Well located and comfortable beds plus good living space
Cute little cottage in a great location. Easy walk along Main St or Park Ave to the Town lift if you're skiing. Free trolley starts at 10am from the corner if you don't want to walk.
The house has two upstairs rooms with memory foam beds that share a bathroom. Big dining table and small well stocked kitchen. Downstairs TV room could be redesigned to make better use of the space. There are two 2 seater sofas in the TV area so for our family of 4 it was very comfortable. The downstairs bedroom was comfortable with another bathroom and a laundry. Showers were good although the boiler made a banging noise. There were obvious signs of work in the laundry to fix this so hopefully it won't be a problem soon. Free wifi was very welcome, and having a quality cooker, fridge/freezer and dishwasher was fantastic. The cottage is not the height of luxury but it is comfortable and clean and was a great place to stay for a 10 day family ski holiday. I'd happily stay there again.
Location was great. It was was a 5-10 minute walk to Main where all the shops, restaurants and bars are. Town lift was a 1/2 mile away. House seemed like it was newly renovated and had all the modern amenities but with a few quirks. Layout of the home was bizarre. Main level had 2 bedrooms with full size beds, bathroom, kitchen and a dining room with seating for six. Downstairs was another bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom, another small kitchen equipped with a mini fridge and sink and a family room. The family room only had seating for four. This was a problem for our group of 6 so we spend most of our time socializing at the kitchen table. The whole downstairs was basically a unusable space. It would have been nice to have a larger family room to hang out in and relax after a long day of sking. My husband and I stayed in the downstairs bedroom, every time the upstairs toilet flushed we would hear two loud bangs. No hot water, even the first shower of the day had luke warm water. The home was moderately clean but the floors and rugs on the main level need a deep clean. My white socks were left brown. There was also a pile over garbage in front of house from previous guests, the garbage cans were overflowing. You can tell the home has seen a lot of guests and it needs a little extra TLC. Not sure if we would rent this house again. The lack of a larger family room was a real problem which is a shame because they have the space downstairs. This home could be 5 stars with a deep clean, fix the hot water problem, loud banging and redesign the downstairs to a more usable space.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to see that the home's layout did not better work for your group. The Property Manager will inspect the hot water heater and will share your suggestions with the owner. We are glad to see that you enjoyed the location and hope you made wonderful memories!
