A quiet, wooden picturesque small home with everything you need and nothing you don't. A beautiful deck built over a babbling brook. The house is in impeccable shape and while small, doesn't feel that way with high ceilings, a loft and lots of windows. Plus, the temperature controlled gas fireplace added warmth and atmosphere. Finally, it was a great jumping off point for Manistee, the Dunes and even Traverse City. We will definitely be booking it again.

The Cedar Nook home was just as described, cozy and comfortable. We appreciated the proximity to the mountain biking and hiking trails. We had a wonderful stay!

This cottage was just perfect for what we were looking for. Very quiet, except for the sound of the
lovely creek. Clean, nicely appointed. Will definitely be back.

We rented this house to meet up with friends staying in an RV park in Frankfort. The house was very charming and immaculately clean. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items, microwave and coffee pit as well as dishes & drinking glasses. We especially liked the location being off the beating path and total privacy yet we could be at our friends location within 15 minutes. And we also enjoyed bicycling around the area and through the small town of Arcadia. Would definitely rent this house again.

This property far exceeding our expectations. It was super clean, well finished and we loved the location! Definitely a 5 star property.

My husband and I had a great 3-night stay at Cedar Nook. The cabin was immaculately clean, well-stocked with paper goods/towels/linens, and had everything we needed to prepare a couple of simple meals. The internet worked great but we didn’t get cable working. The house is in the woods, so expect critters to make noises around the cabin at night!

We were seeking a quiet vacation and that’s exactly what we got. This house is in a secluded area with a pleasant creek running through the back yard and a very nice wooden deck out back.

Our only disappointment was regarding the lack of paper products and the overall cleanliness of the Interior. We were there for a 5 day stay and had to purchase paper towell and toilet paper because there was very little on site. There was only 1 dish rag and towell.

Additionally, when we entered the house we were greeted by a live mouse in a sticky trap in the middle of the living room floor. Mouse droppings in drawers etc. We had to do some cleaning to feel comfortable.

This was the only rodent encounter we had and once we were settled in we were very satisfied with our experince.
Manager response:
We apologize the home was not properly prepared for you and will follow-up with our housekeeping team regarding the matter. Please do not hesitate to reach out so we can assist in making your stay the best possible. Thank you!

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay here. The location of the house is very private, and the babbling brook in the backyard was a nice surprise. The house itself is clean and the kitchen is well-stocked if you plan on cooking your own meals as we did. A few of the amenities didn't work, however (namely the cable tv and the fireplace, which hopefully Vacasa will fix). The internet was also very slow/spotty, which hopefully they will also fix. Overall though, we had a great time and the cottage was a good jumping off point for exploring the Sleeping Bear Dunes and the surrounding area.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Matthew. We are glad you enjoyed this home and we appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. We will work with our local team to ensure these items are corrected for future guests, and we hope to host you again in the near future!

My girlfriend and I came up for a long weekend of exploring the area, and ended up engaged! The Cedar Nook was perfect for a getaway out of the city(we live in Chicago) during these crazy times! It has all the feels you would want in a cabin in the woods. We especially adored the babbling brook in the backyard as we sipped wine under the stars. We would come back in a heartbeat!
