Family of four adults and a dog enjoyed our 2 day stay. Cottage was very clean and we loved the huge tv.

I've been home with my dogs pretty close to 24/7 since March and I just needed to getaway. I'm blessed to live near mountains and we do a lot of hiking, but I wanted to get away to water.
Downtown Cottage could not have been more ideal for 4 humans and 3 dogs. I have a high anxiety dog and with the fenced yard, she felt secure enough to go outside without me, even with the heavy traffic going by.
The only things that were disappointing, was very little kitchen equipment to prepare meals, your basic everyday use equipment. In my past experiences most homes came fully equipped. So you might want to pack up some of your own kitchen when you stay here.
The place was mostly clean, but there were some broken up pretzels in one of the kitchen drawers. Might have been from a critter, but we didn't see any. The kitchen was a great space for our small group to gather and is where we spent most of our time at the house. The bedrooms were perfect sized, the front room was cozy as well, but we didn't spend much time in there. The bathroom was nice, but keep in mind the shower knob is backwards, so cold is hot and hot is cold. Also, the hot water is in short supply, so you have to be fast.
We took the short walk down the street to the beach and onto the dock, which was beautiful. It's a tiny bit of a drive to get to other beaches, but tons of different places to choose from. We chose Ediz Hook and it wasn't to busy at the spot we chose and the dogs had a great time.
There's also a short walk into town, where there's several boutiques and other shops and next time I will definitely take time for shopping. Instead we scheduled appt to support a local nail salon. I do not recommend Super Nails, but I think I wouldn't recommend getting toes done while on vacation either. They were so nice, but new we were from out of town and maybe thought providing customer satisfaction was not necessary since we weren't local and probably would not be returning. Or maybe they were just having a bad day, still not worth $65 and we're super disappointed.
Sitting back home and feeling brand new after a short break. Highly recommend Downtown Cottage and will request to stay here again.
