Between the Highland games, which I just missed, or the fine arts festival at sugar mountain, it seemed like there was always something going on in the area! The area was busy enough to have options, but not so busy it felt busy. I still love the view of the 4th green from the deck, it's a tough hole for people which makes watching more fun. The unit was clean and tidy with ample towels both on racks and under the sink.

My hubby loved the convenience (location) of it all. We could have easily walked up to the ski lift. Food Lion, restaurants (Subway, other local ones), McDonald’s, Walgreens, gas stations, etc. are all within a few minutes’ drive. We took several scenic trips to different areas- all within half hour (or less). The smaller kids enjoyed going up & down the stairs to the second story condo AND the spiral stairs to the second story “loft” area. The place is a bit dated (circa 1980’s) but it is cozy, welcoming, charming, & well-planned out. There was plenty of room for our two adult kids, our two g-kids, our two young ones, & ourselves! Although the condo does not have central air, an electric fan was provided for each bedroom & living room. Weather went down to low 50’s Fourth of July weekend so it wasn’t a problem. Upon arriving. there’s a musty smell but it’s just from being closed in. There is a HUGE candle at the entrance that easily off-sets the smell (just remember to bring a lighter OR plug-ins). The place is IMPECCABLY clean!! Despite the age of the appliances- they look like they have never been used! 👍🏻
Tip: they have a small Keurig and reg coffee pot. Make sure to bring your pods or ground coffee. Also, don’t forget salt & pepper. Speaking of Fourth of July- we were blessed to have booked the place for this weekend. The ski-lift up to Sugar Mountain for fireworks made this experience one of the best of our lifetimes 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🎇💥🎆⛰😍!! Just remember to bring blankets & picnic baskets up with you. We strongly recommend this place for families AND adults 👍🏻👍🏻⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

We had two hills on either side to sled down, and its about a 10 minute walk to Ski Sugar so you dont have to worry about parking!

House was convenient to Blue Ridge Parkway and local sites. Home was comfortable and a great price for the area. It seems the place was shut up for a while. There was a strange smell when we first arrived but it dissipated throughout our stay. Mildew in caulk and shower curtain liner in the main bathroom. Management company includes only a 'starter' kit for household items. There was one kitchen garbage bag, a partial roll of paper towels, and almost empty toilet paper in the main bath. Bedding was comfortable and clean.

Great place to stay. Easy to find. Has everything you need but take extra towels.

This cabin was in such a good central location to the area. Banner elk, seven devils, grandfather mountain, beech mountain, linville, blowing rock and boone. You’re right next to world class trout fishing on the rivers and lakes all around. We went to elk river falls which was amazing! One of many in the area. Sugar mountain opens up for downhill mountain biking during the summer and we sat on the ski lodge patio and watched them ride down(and sometimes crash!) which was pretty cool. The foodie or “locals hangouts” restaurants nearby are great and abundant, but if that’s not your style, the grill area is like 20 feet away and equipped with gas or a charcoal grill, Seating and power, all covered. Or you can cook easily for a group in the open kitchen!

Outside of it’s literally perfect location, the cabin itself it open and bright. Comfortable beds and everything was immaculately clean! Reallly really clean. The patio was amazing. Sitting out there with a beverage watching golfers chip up the hill to the green on the top of the hill was a blast. We witnessed some amazing puts from a “ringside seat” patio!

You won’t find a better value, perfect for a couple(we were most of our stay) but easily accommodates larger groups(like our last stay)!

Really enjoyed watching the golfers trying to hit the green on one of the most difficult holes on the course. The condo was spotless, well stocked, comfortable beds. Ill be back!
