Absolutely everything about this trip. The closesness, yet secluded cozy home. Best vacation I’ve been on in a long time.

My wife and I spent eight days here during the third week of September. We found this place totally stocked with everything we needed. This even included bear spray--which saved us from buying some since you cannot fly with it. Towels aplenty, all the cooking utensils you could ever need, linens, and even television with cable and internet access. The location was stellar, with close access to downtown Whitefish and a mere 40 minutes from the entrance to west Glacier and 90 minutes from Logan Pass. We spent all of our time on the second level, but did venture down to the lower level a couple times and found it somewhat cold and uninviting. Regarding Vacasa--we did need to call them once regarding the location of the circuit breaker which was in the locked garage, and they sent somebody out right away to reset the circuit that was tripped in the kitchen. The decor of the place was good in terms of solid wood and quality furniture, but somewhat annoying at least for us was the bearskin on the wall in the entryway, the deerhead in the basement on the wall, and numerous antlers hung all over the house. Of course this is personal preference and probably not an issue for most. One other suggestion is that there should be a bearproof garbage can on the premises--other than the plastic bin outside with a plastic cover.
