The house was a great layout for our group, clean and nicely decorated, with everything with we needed. Loved waking up with the lake visible to the east through the trees, and having steps down to a private dock. There are plenty of activities within 30 minutes drive - hiking, boat rentals for the day, zip lining. On the one rainy day during our trip, the living space was great for hanging out and playing a few board games.

This home was spacious, clean, and in a great location on a quiet lake. We spent a wonderful week here with our three kids and dog (dog friendly locations can be tricky to find and this one was great). I would definitely give 5 stars if it wasn’t for the fact that the dock was very rickety and a bit of a safety hazard. There is no beach area so the dock is the water entry. If you aren’t planning on having active kids by the water or tying up a canoe, likely it wouldn’t be a problem! Even so, the house was great and we would definitely return.

Disclaimer: I think we were the first people to rent this property when it was offered. Overall, it's a very nice place in the Northwoods with a great first floor for families to come on vacation.

First, we had an issue with mice. We could hear them running around in the walls at night, especially in the basement. Droppings were all over the cabinets, particularly under the sink and behind the stove. The boat cover we kept at the house was chewed through by mice in multiple places.

It looks like wasps are continually an issue at the property. There were two active nests when we arrived and were stung. We found other remnants of some large nests that previously existed too.

The internet on the property is relatively slow and seemed to be impacted by cloud cover, wind, weather, etc. It was difficult to get one stream to operate, and there was no way to do multiple streaming on any size device. If internet access is important for work or on bad weather days, it's not ideal for larger groups.

Again, we think the place was in a great location, the home was nicely laid out and furnished, but based on our experience we would probably not stay here again.
