We recently stayed a long weekend here in sunny July. We had two families with 3 adults and 4 kids. The place was impeccably clean, and unlike previous reviews, we found we had all the cleaning supplies (like you name the spray cleaner, it was there!), paper towels, toilet paper, soap, hand sanitizer, laundry soap (even Shout!), etc. as well as pantry items like olive oil, cooking spray, salt, pepper, sugar, etc. Really nicely set up! (There's a pot for boiling crabs, and a cracker set, too if that you're thing! A crock pot, fondue pot...)
For the layout, which was a bit hard to follow from the photos, off the kitchen facing the water is a giant king bedroom with attached bath (shower only, though it's gorgeous). Things to know about this room: It is super bright, with skylights - so you will wake to blazing sunshine quite early. Also, there are blinds over the sliding deck doors with cords. *If you have small children, this is a significant hazard and there is no mechanism to wrap the cords on a holder.* This room also gets quite hot, as it's upstairs and has a lot of window space. There is no dresser or anyplace to unpack your clothing - just a bench for your suitcase. Lovely big bright space though, at the same time!
Also upstairs is a second queen bedroom, adjacent to the full bath. This room we did not use actually, but it was cooler by far and not as bright. It overlooks the driveway. No view, easy bathroom access.
The large room with two queen beds is in down in the basement. There is a smaller water closet (toilet/sink) across the hall which served well for nighttime potty runs and brushing teeth. The toilet makes a loud, odd sound when you flush (signed alert on this) so if you are a light sleeper, you will likely wake up if someone flushes in the night. However, bathing must take place upstairs in the shared bath adjacent to the queen bedroom. There's a bit of 'basement smell' but nothing overbearing. It was MUCH cooler down there, and there are only two small windows with ambient glass - still the west-facing one was quite bright in the morning (two small blackout shades would serve this space, since there's no view anyhow). The fireplace in this room is marked as non-functional. There is a nice dresser for unloading clothes if you want to. Big and spacious! There are also some folding mats extra people or kids can sleep on easily. One of our kids preferred the floor mat.
If you have SMALL KIDS, know that there are 2 points you should be aware of - one, the aforementioned long cords on the blinds in the master bedroom. Second - and this one we could not discern from the photos - but the patch of pavement you see between the deck and the grassy lawn IS AN ACTUAL ALLEY/STREET that is used as an access road for all the houses in the neighborhood along the beachfront. While it is marked 10mph, it completely precluded us from just letting our kids (aged 3-6) run free in the yard without adult oversight. We didn't expect this exactly and were a little disappointed that we couldn't just say "go play out in the yard" because we had to worry about traffic. We completely trusted them not to go to the beach without a grown-up, but the street was a another story. So to be clear - the yard is not fenced off in any way, you have to cross a street access it, and there is zero privacy.
If you DO NOT have kids, still know that the house is on the corner of this street/alley, and people walk their dogs and are just feet from your deck. Everyone was very friendly and we enjoyed visiting with folks, but know that you aren't in a super private spot and there was a little bit of a 'fish bowl' feel to the kitchen/dining/sitting area and deck. We had people waving hello as we sat at the dining table if we looked out and happen to catch their eye.
Last thing - the eagle habitat evergreen was fun to watch (we saw eagles daily) and provided some nice shade to the yard and oceanside deck. The beach is primarily rocks (almost no sandy spaces at all) but were fun for beach combing, throwing rocks into the water, and seeing loads of crabs, shrimp, seaweeds, and more on the beach. Lots of great seashell collecting!
All told, this is a great choice especially if you are two-three families or couples. Also a great spot for a girls weekend. We wanted to share some things/tips to help you plan. Enjoy!

This is an absolute perfect get away. The views and sunsets from the house were breathtaking! We were able to launch our kayaks right off the shore in front of the house and saw amazing wild life! At one time we were watching 12 bald eagles fight over a salmon. Would highly recommend this home to any of my friends and family!

The house was great - with one big exception. There was garbage left from the previous tenants and no way to dispose of the garbage. Vacasa did not respond to a call I made on Tuesday. Also be sure to bring your own toilet paper and paper towels.
Thank you for providing feedback, Corey. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed this home and apologize for any delay in assistance while we experience a high volume of calls. We hope to better assist you in the near future!
