Charming oceanfront home with hot tub, stunning views, and room for everyone

If you've been dreaming of a trip to an oceanfront home with easy beach access, a private hot tub, and room for up to eight guests, your dream may have come true - check out this gorgeous Gleneden Beach vacation rental!

This listing is for one of the two neighboring homes (with a shared driveway) included in the Gleneden & Sea Castle Beachfront Getaways, which can also be booked together by larger groups. Planning a trip with college buddies? Need space for a wedding or a family reunion? Traveling with another family? In all cases – this home is for you!

This house is located right against the beautiful sandy shore, and within a quick drive or leisurely walk of small but friendly Gleneden Beach's businesses including the fabulous Side Door Cafe. Hop in the car and head north a few miles to Lincoln City to find all sorts of restaurants, businesses, and activities, or stay right here in Gleneden Beach and enjoy the quiet atmosphere and less crowded beach!

With a unique arrangement, this two-bedroom, beachfront delight can accommodate the whole family! Inside you'll find all sorts of modern comforts mixed with cozy features to welcome everyone.

Walk to the large living area and have a seat on the plush sectional sofa. Gaze out the enormous windows at the sea - this is the perfect place to marvel at the sunset or do a little stormwatching! This area also has a beautiful gas fireplace to keep the room extra warm, though you could also turn on the flatscreen TV and watch a little cable or put your favorite movie in the DVD player.

This living area has plenty of room for everyone - in addition to the sectional sofa there's a futon and a full dining room table where you can set up one of the provided board games, plus some very comfortable seating set up in front of a large picture window overlooking the sea. You could even walk out the sliding glass door to the expansive deck, which has more seating and a charcoal grill. Soak in the private hot tub.

Back inside, walk into the stunning full kitchen - the chef in your group will feel right at home here! Smooth, modern marble counters are juxtaposed with rustic knotty wood cabinets to provide a beautiful backdrop to your culinary creations! This kitchen has all major appliances and plenty of extra tools, so whipping up meals for your loved ones will be easy here!

Behind the kitchen is a laundry area (which will be handy after a few days of playing on the beach and adventuring around town!), as well as a full bathroom. There's also a door that leads out to the grassy backyard, which offers a picnic table for extra dining space when the weather is nice!

This cozy home can easily accommodate a large family, two smaller families, or a group of beach-living friends!

Since you will be staying right next to the beach, you'll surely want to spend plenty of time out walking along the sand, dipping your toes in the refreshing water, and enjoying the sights. Check the tide tables and go out at low tide to hunt for agates and shells - and keep an eye out for the occasional passing whale or curious harbor seal! Gleneden Beach has a few lovely restaurants, and less than a mile south along the highway is a grocery store and cafe, so you don't have to go far to find the basics!

Golfers will want to check out the Salishan Resort & Spa, just north along the highway, while others may prefer to book a massage treatment or visit the shops and gallery. To the north is Lincoln City, where you can shop at the outlet mall, spend an evening at the casino, get a meal at the diverse restaurants, and even head over to Devils Lake for fishing, boating, and swimming. South about five miles is charming Depoe Bay, known as the whale-watching capital of the coast, and you could continue south about another 20 miles to reach Newport, famous for its historic bayfront and the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

However you choose to spend your stay, your dreams will come true at this fabulous oceanfront Northern Oregon Coast vacation rental with space for everyone!

Spacious home with lots of beds making it a comfortable stay for a family. Plus the view was amazing; we saw whales everyday.

This is our 2nd time at this house and we love it. It feels like our own beach cabin, rather than a stuffy rental. We will be back!

We loved the cozy home....everything was there that we needed. The view was amazing! The home was well cared for and spacious! I will stay there again!
Thank you,
Rhonda from California

The views from main floor and the deck are fantastic, the house was very comfortable. The beds were super comfortable. This would be perfect for a family with kids, parents get beautiful suite upstairs and kids get the run of the downstairs. The bedroom upstairs/main floor is much nicer; the king bed was so huge that we ended up both sleeping in there with room to spare! The nearest beach access was a little steep for my mother to climb down to, but there is another access within short walk or driving distance. We WILL be back!

The house is very nice with a wonderful view of the ocean. The hot tub was a great perk. The beds were comfy and the house clean and homey. Had a great time.

the view was fantastic! The house was adorable-- I fell in love with it. It was well stocked and beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay again!

Stayed at this house with a group of women friends and we enjoyed the house. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of space to sleep and plenty of space to hang out throughout the house. Place was clean and had enough linens, towels and some toiletry items available. The only issues we came across are: there seemed to be only 7 forks, so once in awhile someone had to eat with a spoon. The cd player didn't seem to work nor did the whole stereo system. And we couldn't get the cable to work....we were going to watch a movie, but didn't have a good one to watch, so not sure if the dvd player would have worked. Luckily, a few of us brought laptops and we were able to use the wifi to watch a movie. But, for the most part, we weren't in to watching the tv for the weekend.
Manager response:
We have added more flatware and solved the cable problem. Thank you!

The Good: the house is spacious and comfortable, the view from the deck is stunning, the beach is close and wonderful, and the beds are comfy. You are pretty close to some larger towns, but the house's area is calm and uncrowded. The scenery is something else. We watched a whale calf frolic in the surf for half an hour one morning!

The Bad: When we arrived at the house the first thing that greeted us was a sign above the door threatening would-be burglars with deadly force. It made us wonder how safe the place was. And then downstairs we found a sign that said we were under video surveillance. Also very creepy (although it does appear to have been some discarded packaging from outdoor security cams). And the hot tub was locked with a padlock. So the overall vibe was that this was a very unsafe area with a lot of crime. Thankfully, that was not our overall impression of Gleneden Beach. The folks we met were lovely and the area was really cute. The house could have just seemed a little more welcoming. Also, just FYI the house is right next to another vacation rental, like sharing a driveway close. It didn't bother us and the other people were very nice, but if you are looking for total isolation this is not it. Lastly, the internet and cable were nonfunctional the whole time we were there, despite the agent saying he would send maintenance. It wasn't too bad for us as we were sort of unplugging anyway, but heads up.

Total transformation. Spirits soared and wounds were healed

Gorgeous ocean views! We watched whales from the living room each morning. It’s between Lincoln City and Depoe Bay and about 15ish miles from Newport. When we weren’t exploring the towns we were on the beach or mesmerized by the ocean from the view of this home. The house is situated on a cliff looking over the ocean. It was very private and homey. We especially enjoyed the hot tub on the deck. My kids LOVED this place. My two year old called it the ‘water house.’ It has a nice deep soaking tub in the master bath and a walk-in shower in the second. I did have a little trouble with the wifi but I didn’t bother too much with it because my kids are small and it was nice to unplug. The TV setup was a bit confusing and the cable only had a few channels but who would want to watch tv here anyway? The viewing windows and the ceiling fan could have used a wipe down but otherwise the house was very clean. Beach access is a short walk and very steep/rocky and slippery. Overall we are very pleased with our stay and would definitely book again.

Had a wonderful time in the ocean front hot tub and enjoyed the great views from the living room and dining room. Would love to come back again with more of the family.
Debra F. Mar 2018
Absolutely incredible ocean front view ! Loads of cushy comfortable furniture for relaxation & a well appointed kitchen for "cooking in". Easy driving distance to Lincoln City, Depot Bay & Newport for shopping & dining out (although the home is almost too good to leave) 💜
Marci S. Feb 2018
The area is pretty and there were two good sized windows in the front room to look out to the ocean. The second bedroom had a strange lay out and the bathroom was on the floor above off of the kitchen. The house was more dated and run down overall than we are used to staying in for the money. The hot tub cover was not able to be secured, nor did we know it would need to be, and in a big gust of wind, it blew up and hit me in the head nearly knocking me out. Overall this was not the same quality of other houses we have rented for the same price.
Manager response:
We are sorry to see there was difficulty with the hot tub cover. We have inspected the lift mechanism, straps, and locks, and we have found all functioning correctly and believe it must have been user error. Guests are always welcome to call for assistance if they are in need of it. Thanks!
Greg G. Feb 2018
Excellent home with gorgeous views at just the right height from the beach! Watched whales migrating from the comfort of the dining room and deck for hours!! Close proximity to both Lincoln City and Newport for restaurants and shopping as well as awesome spots to go tidepooling and agate hunting.
Dennis S. Nov 2017
We stayed here for two new nights and enjoyed it. Great views. Great hot tub. Nice beach house. Clean. Cozy. Very nice. We would stay here again
Ashley K. Oct 2017
Come to this house for the view and proximity to the ocean. Other than the living room and view, the house wasn't worth the money paid with all the crazy fees. Dirty sheets, dishes and overall lack of attention to detail made me disappointed in the value for what I paid.
Michael B. Oct 2017
Good location and Gorgeous view. Would be PERFECT for two couples, one of which have a few kids.
Rayni L. Sep 2017
Excellent home to enjoy the views, from the living room, from the dining room, from the deck or the hot tub! Very comfortable furnishings and well stocked. Will definitely go back!
Denise B. Aug 2017
House is on a cliff, they say easy beach access, but not so. From the street it looks that way. Had to slide and crawl down a very rocky, gravely entrance. I'm 60yrs old and have had back surgery, I fell and scraped my leg pretty good. The view is excellent. Place is roomy, all the amenities are there. Wouldn't recommend it for older people and children. Was quiet and peaceful. The TV's need serious help though.
Chelse B. Jul 2017
We had a great time for our girls trip to the beach. We brought all of our food to make meals and stayed at the house all weekend. We started each day with some whale watching. We saw several whales! It was also a short walk to the beach. We walked there and played bocce ball and volleyball. Such a great weekend. Plenty of sleepy space and a beautiful view!
Scott S. Jul 2017
We just happened to be at this house for a full moon, which was perfect. House was what you would expect, a rental house on the beach. Had all the necessary items for a weekend stay. Kitchen was stocked fine. Wifi did not work which was slightly annoying, but that is a easy replacement. Hot tub on the deck was perfect. The only thing I would mention that was not very clear in the decription was that the house share a driveway. Not an issue by any means, but the other house is close. If we're concerned about noise, that may be an issue. Was fine for us.
Robyn M. Jun 2017
It was so pretty there and my grandkids lived on the beach. Want to do this annually now.
Wesley T. Jun 2017
We loved this house! It was such a great view, spacious, and the hot tub was super fun and relaxing to sit there at night and listen to the ocean. I am dying to get back there again.
Greg J. May 2017
We had a great time enjoying beautiful sunsets and wildlife: from eagles to a whale. A very comfortable home right on the beach. We had a great time.
Lexi H. May 2017
Great house for a weekend get away! Right on the beach with a beautiful view!
Ginny P. Apr 2017
Great house for viewing whales and seals. The entire front of house is windows. Nice hot tub for viewing ocean....nice deck for sunning. All around good spot...and we had a long stretch of beach all to ourselves!
David G. Mar 2017
we were very happy with our stay at this place! house was super comfy, everything was there, couldnt ask for a better place to enjoy our spring break trip.
Leslie S. Mar 2017
We had a great time and the downstairs area was great for our kids to hang out in while we were upstairs. We plan to stay there twice a year.
Karen H. Feb 2017
A beautiful home with a perfect location! Sitting in the hot tub watching the waves and looking at the starts was indescribable. The home has all of the supplies needed for cooking, games, and spending time with family and friends. I can't wait to go again!
Ty M. Jan 2017
This is the perfect vacation home to rent! Great view, and less than a 5 minute walk from the beach! Will definitely go here again!
Sacora H. Nov 2016

Sheryl & Robert L. R. Oct 2016
Beautiful location with crashing waves, lovely views. Comfortable house. Very big. Nice fireplace when it works.
Richard Y. Sep 2016
Beautiful location. Beautiful beach. Up high on a bluff, but relatively easy beach access. Great for long, relaxing walks. Hot tub a plus for winding down at the end of the day and watching the sun set. The house itself is fairly nice, although the layout is a bit odd. The website states that it can hold 10-12 (10 adults max), but I would not recommend it unless everyone is VERY close and comfortable with each other. If there were 12, you would have to have 6 people in one large room downstairs (1 queen, 2 twins, bunked, and 1 queen sofa sleeper). The bathroom for these guests would be up a flight of stairs and through the kitchen and laundry room. There's one nice master bedroom with a king bed upstairs, and an adjoining, very large bathroom. It's a split floorplan, so on the main floor there is the kitchen, laundry, (smallish) bathroom and a nice big great room facing the ocean. This is where the last four guests would need to sleep--two on a queen sofa sleeper and 2 on a queen futon. Again, unless everyone is getting up at the same time you can forget about sneaking in a quiet cup of coffee and watching the sunrise. All that said, it worked great for our family of four. Our main complaints with the property were that the downstairs carpet is extremely worn and stained. Definitely needs to be replaced. We also had an issue with most of the dishes, silverware and kitchenware requiring washing BEFORE we used them. The kitchen is also "oddly stocked"--if you need a plastic spatula, there are at least four. If, on the other hand, you need a large mixing spoon or measuring cup, you're better off bringing your own. There are LOTS of pillows, but hardly any pillow cases. Luckily this isn't the first time that's happened to us, so my wife always brings several from home.

So all in all, we were happy with the property and the four of us were very comfortable. It's a great location, and with a little TLC it could be a great property!
Kayleen P. Aug 2016
We really enjoyed our stay. It was a great location with an awesome view. We liked the large living area where we could gather and play games.

2nd time in this house!!! A bachelorette party celebration? We had a blast and this house was perfect for us all.
Katheleen C. Jul 2016
A well equiped vacation home with a spectacular view of the Oregon Coast. Close to great restuarants and stores.

Lovely house, with updated furnishings and flooring, newer windows, gorgeous well-stocked kitchen, and a nice retro touch upstairs. Beds very comfortable, with quality bedding. Great views, fabulous hot tub! Loved being able to open windows to hear the surf. Hated to leave!
Keith P. May 2016
To walk out the door and in less than a block walk onto the beach was wonderful. Then when we were tired it was so nice to be able to sit and enjoy the ocean view in comfort and privacy. We had a great time!
Tina T. Apr 2016
We had a great weekend at this property. From the deck you are able to see the whales and enjoy the crashing waves.
Jennifer And Joel S. Apr 2016
This was by far our best trip to the beach! The home is perfect for a family! Furniture is comfortable, kitchen well supplied, laundry, close to the beach! View is absolutely breathtaking! Will definitely be back!!!

Great location, beautiful views!
Mary Jean W. Feb 2016
This place has it all: ample space, surround sound, fabulous views, warm fireplace, and a great hot tub with lights on an amazing deck. I can't say enough about this friendly, spacious place. The kids and grandkids had so much fun! We had dance parties, made great food, watched whales and seals, looked at old pictures, and made new memories. The beds were super comfortable and everything was just perfect for us. We love this house and would stay again in a heartbeat!
Rachelle P. Jan 2016
The view was amazing and made the stay enjoyable but there were a few things that would have made it better. As you walk into the home it has a musty smell until you turn on the heat. The linens did not appear to be clean or were stained and there was mild above the shower. Besides these few things the place is nice and very relaxing.
Brian H. Jan 2016
This was our annual January Visit to see the Whales going south to Mexico. We were not disappointed. This was our 1st visit to this property,we found the home to very comfortable and the owners have provided many items toward that end. The art deco and art on the walls was outstanding also.
