What's nearby:
You'll be conveniently located at the base of Aspen's Buttermilk Ski Area, which is famous as the home of ESPN Winter X Games and was voted #1 by Transworld Snowboarding Magazine Reader's Poll for best pipe and park. Maroon Bells, one of the most photographed areas in the world and a must-see, is located only 11 miles south from your rental. There you can enjoy hiking, animal-spotting, cross-skiing or snowmobiling (during winter), and take in the dramatic views of Maroon Lake. If you and your group are more advanced skiers, you can always head over to Snowmass (six and a half miles away), which is the largest and most popular ski resort with more than 3,000 acres of ski terrain and 150 miles of intermediate and expert trails. Aspen Highlands is a great place for more advanced and expert skiers with dramatic routes like Golder Horn, Highland Bowl, and Olympic Bowl. It’s rarely crowded, something you won’t find very often here!

Great place to stay during the summer
MARY M. Jul 2020
Our room was comfortable. My only complaint about the lodgings was that we were placed in the back building and had to enter through what appeared to be a service corridor. We walked in looking at trash cans, the laundry room, and carts of dirty linens. The place apparently has only one elevator, and it is for the front building. The front desk was helpful. The people running the restaurant were sort of gruff. We stayed in July2020, the summer of COVID, and the lobby was roped off as was the restaurant (folding tables created a barrier to all doors. Yet the pool and jacuzzi were open. Didn't seem all that logical to me, but whatever). Seems like it would be a convenient place to stay during ski season as it is located at the foot of the Buttermilk ski area.
