Dog-friendly home with a private game room and five-hole disc golf course!

In search of a large, comfortable, and dog-friendly home for your next reunion or multi-family getaway? At this mountain view Truckee vacation rental, you'll enjoy a stunning contemporary space, a private game room, and even a disc golf course right on the property!

Beautifully secluded in the wooded hills 11 miles from downtown Truckee, this three-level, four-bedroom home is just 15 miles from the shores of Donner Lake and only 18 miles from the slopes of Northstar California Resort.

With plenty of space for 10 guests, as well as one family dog for a small nightly fee, the Valley View Estate is the perfect home base for your next summer or winter group escape to the Sierras.

Step inside the main living space to find two-story knotty pine ceilings, an abundance of natural light, a wood fireplace, and a well-stocked wood stove for snowy winter evenings. Looking to spend a cozy night in? You'll find a TV, a DVD player, a VCR, as well as a selection of books and movies.

The open, sun-lit kitchen is framed by windows that face the surrounding woods. And whether you're frying bacon or preparing lasagna, the generous counterspace, double ovens, and dishwasher make cooking for groups a breeze.

In addition to three stools at the bar counter, the dining room has indoor seating for six during the chilly winter months. But when the sun comes out in the summer, guests will find a gas grill and patio furniture on the deck for afternoon family barbecues.

And no matter the season, adults and kids alike will flock downstairs to the game room, equipped with pool and foosball tables, a flatscreen TV, and an adjacent partial kitchen. Looking for a bit of outdoor competition? Don't forget that this home comes with sleds, three bikes, and its very own five-basket disc golf course.

Due to its wonderfully secluded location, the Valley View Estate does not have cell phone service. But guests need not worry about a lack of modern conveniences. This home is equipped with WiFi, a landline, and a private washer and dryer.

With four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms, there is plenty of sleeping space for 10 guests. Spread out over three levels are one king bed, three queens, two sets of twin-over-full bunk beds, and three additional twins. The top floor apartment provides a bit of extra privacy, as well as its own kitchen space.

Whether you're planning a snow sports excursion or a summer beach vacation, the Valley View Estate offers easy access to the best of North Lake Tahoe. In addition to Northstar's 3,170 skiable acres, skiers and snowboarders will find a more beginner-oriented experience at the Tahoe Donner Ski Area, about 20 miles away.

Drive about seven miles to the Truckee River for fly fishing. Boca Reservoir is under nine miles from you, and Reservoir is about 17 miles away, both of which are excellent spots for fishing or a day on the lake. And be sure to stop off at the Glenshire General Store for fishing supplies and licenses, as well as tips on where to find all the prime fishing spots along the Truckee River.

Looking to get your feet wet? Drive 23 miles to Kings Beach on the north shore of Lake Tahoe, where you'll find a picnic area and a beautiful sandy beach.

We used this house for our 4-person family but it is built for large parties and would be a great spot to catch up with friends or larger family. The house is located pretty far from any town so you would want to plan to be at the house and enjoy its gorgeous surroundings. Also, the kitchen was well-equipped for our small family but felt like there wouldn't be nearly enough plates/dishes for larger parties. overall, a good spot for a group but could be improved.

We thoroughly enjoyed every room in this spacious home. We had just enough snow for everyone to enjoy outdoor activities and lots of space indoors to play games or a quiet area to read. Everyone had a great time! We will definitely be back again.

This was a beautiful home completely secluded and miles from neighbors. The only bummer was it had no firewood and it was a slow-going trip out of the property. It was huge and plenty of space fir my entire family.

Our large family loved this house. Lots of space for gathering but lots of areas to have some privacy. Definitely would recommend this house.

This home was very secluded, but also very spacious. The game room was a huge hit, as were all the games/books they had on site. There is no need to bring anything from home, they have every entertainment option you could want. The basement layout was a bit dangerous, however: many surprise steps/drop offs where you would not expect there to be. Also, because of the stone tile flooring and high ceilings, the house was chilly most of the time, bring slippers and extra layers. If anyone has mobility issues, there is only one shower that would work, located in the upstairs master suite.

Wonderful home beautifully set in a wooded area far removed from the main road. Excellent privacy with multiple bedrooms, decks and game room!

Good for big groups who want to stay in. Driving to town or anywhere else is a little out of the way. But the cabin is cozy. Kitchen is huge. Lots of space :)

Space wise, this home is great for a large group. It has three levels with multiple beds and at least one bathroom on each. Each level also has its own "kitchen", although the kitchen on the main level is really the only fully functional one (this wasn't an issue though). As the pictures show, the home could use some updating, but we knew that going in. It could also be better equipped for a large group with new, large pots/pans, more dinning room seating and better outdoor furnishings. Also, the hot water is limited so only a few people could shower at a time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, especially the game room and surrounding property.

If you like quiet and solitude this house is paradise! We had a group of 8 old college buddies reuniting for a week in August. The house is large with plenty of room for all of us and the inside is spectacular. The location is remote so don't expect night life to be close, but Truckee is 15 miles or so away and can provide everything you might need the house cannot. I love this place and would recommend it highly!

This home appeared to be really sophisticated but still had a rustic feel. Out right beautiful and spacious and everything you need for big groups who want to get away on a retreat!

The beds were extremely comfortable!! Great surround sound and the fireplace was wonderful!! Beautiful windows and views. Needs new pots and pans. The water heater downstairs doesn't last very long and filtration system beeped all night our entire week's stay. The kitchen cupboards were loose but we easily tightened them. We discovered mouse feces and a giant mouse nest in the kitchen cupboards the first night we were there. We promptly cleaned it all. That was unacceptable!!! We were there for a wedding our daughter was in and didn't have the time to call and wait for anyone to come take care of it. It's such a lovely home with a beautiful view and deserves to be better cared for!!! We would love to go back in the summer but only if the cleaning crew steps it up

Wonderful floor plan! Works well for large groups. Some updating needed and few things need to be fixed; but all in all, great rental, we will be back!

This place is nice and clean. You dont get reception and the wifi is slow, but thats a good thing if you're trying to leave the cellphone somewhere and forget about it. Its a very comfortable place. Enjoyed my stay.

This house is older and a bit worn. having said that it is obviously well built and the owners, at that time, went first class with many upgrades. 10 minutes off I-80. Paved road until the very end (50 yards?). 2 big t.v’s with complicated remote system. good wifi, no cell service. so many sleeping areas. Game room is really nice. windows all around and quiet.

We have been staying at the same house in Truckee for the past 13 yrs, tough act to follow, and this year we needed to find a new place that suited our needs. This was it...ample space, something for everyone, welcoming, beautiful surroundings..not for the skid-dish person whom doesn't not like country living! Felt like we belonged, comfortable not like you were a guest in someones home. We are a group that likes to have fun, this house offered a great environment for all of us. Looking forward to making longtime memories here!!
