The house was very cozy and neat. You could tell it had been updated recently. Great screened in back porch, beautiful landscaping, and quiet. You are right downtown and close to many great restaurants, bars, and local attractions.
My friends came to visit me from Chicago, and I booked this house for them, because it is close to my house. The house is very cute, and was perfect for their stay. I would definitely rent this house again when I have out of town guest visiting. It was perfect, and Brooke was really easy and great to work with.
I've stayed here multiple times and find the cottage very comfortable. Very clean and Brooke and her staff at Emerson are so helpful and responsive to maintenance issues. I really enjoy sitting out on the backyards screened porch in the morning while having coffee. Lots of big trees give the backyard quiet and privacy.
Pleasant stay in a cute cottage. The neighborhood is nice with a dog park and restaurants within walking distance. Management was very helpful. Easy instructions to get in and get to the cottage. I forgot some clothes in the closet and they mailed them back to me. Very helpful and respond in a timely manner. Would stay here again.
The rental isn't in a super touristy part of town, which I think is best if you're familiar with Austin a little. That being said the home is beautiful. It's decorated in a chic and comfortable fashion. Thinking about our next stay now! :)
The rental was described thoroughly and accurately, and we were absolutely thrilled with all aspects of it. The back deck is fantastic and we spent some great time out there. Great neighborhood and neat little home! Thanks for sharing!
Had a wonderful weekend in Austin staying at this property. It was clean, pretty adorable, and a great location. Kitchen was well acquainted. Check in and out was easy. Good restaurants just down a few blocks. Close to downtown to be near but not right there. And i could have spent days just relaxing on the back porch. We were a group of three, and it was a perfect place for our weekend away.
The Clarksville Cottage was a HUGE success for our 5 day trip to Austin. It's located in a fantastically funky, hip neighborhood so close to everything Austin has to offer. The neighborhood was safe that the house is located right across the street from the local fire house. We never heard any sirens at all. The house was super clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. On my daily walk, I got to see the rest of the cool Clarksville neighborhood. And every morning we sat on the front porch and drank our coffee while watching all the neighbors walking their dogs. We felt right at home and will definitely be back!!!
We had a wonderful stay at the Clarksville Cottage. It was just perfect for the 2 of us. Conveniently located to some restaurants within walking distance as well as to downtown. The house was furnished beautifully....everything had a real personal touch. And the outdoor space was especially nice. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place in Austin!
We loved the cottage and the general area. We were on the go most of the time so we were not there too much but the bed was incredibly comfortable and the accommodations clean and accommodating. The decor was fun. We didn't cook or anything but we did enjoy the coffee maker. We will definitely come back.
We wanted a get a true Austin experience in a local neighborhood. The Clarksville Cottage was perfect. The property had everything we needed and the expansive deck & backyard was just a bonus. Two local playgrounds in walking distance, a great coffee shop, and local grocer. Super convenient to getting anywhere in city.
Wonderful Cottage with Charming Amenities. It was so nice to be able to relax in such a nicely decorated space. This cottage is located so conveniently we were able to see so much we ended up not spending as much time there as we could have enjoyed! I highly recommend it.
Modern, comfortable update on a classic cottage Really comfortable, well-appointed small home in a great neighborhood that was close to everything I love in Austin.
My husband and I needed a place to stay near downtown that would accommodate our mini schnauzers. This was a perfect location, it was well stocked, furnished comfortably and clean. The back yard was very nice, right by Shoal Creek and all its beautiful trees. The neighborhood was pleasant for walking the pups. A very nice place, we would highly recommend it.
Very nice and clean cottage in great part of Austin. Close to everything and a park is located just up the street from here. Enjoyed our stay. Would stay there again and recommend.
Stayed here a few times.... always a good trip. Clean, updated and well maintained cottage close to everything and a park to walk our dogs. Highly recommend.
I lived in Clarksville for 17 years, so when I travel back to Austin, I want to stay in MY hood. This cottage made me feel at home. It is beautifully appointed and perfectly located. I LOVED reading on the back screened in porch. Part of my vacation was enjoying this lovely place. It is now my Austin landing pad.
Loved this sweet little home. Very comfortable with a quick walk to great restaurants.
This charming cottage is located in one of the most vibrant and convenient neighborhoods in Austin. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated, was sparkling clean, and the screened in porch is my new happy place. I could not find the iron, and the blow dryer overheated, and management immediately delivered replacements. I stayed for nine nights on a business trip, and was sad to leave.
We enjoyed everything about this bungalow in Clarksville! The location is close to campus. It is very comfortable and quiet in a neighborhood setting. The interior of the cottage is very clean, well maintained and nicely decorated with comfortable, yet modern furnishings. We will definitely stay here again.
Loved this house. All the amenities, nice screened porch and outdoor sitting area. Walked to lots of good restaurants.
Sweet, comfortable bungalow in the best location. It feels just like being at home.
We came to Austin to escape Hurricane Harvey. Property manager was the most helpful, and accommodating person to work with. We cannot say enough good things about her or this home. The home worked perfectly for a small family of four. The kids loved the backyard and we loved the screened in porch. Thank you so much to Emerson Guest Properties, and the homeowner for providing a lovely home away from home.
Home Away From Home Great weekend getaway for our little family. Thanks for providing us a home away from home.
This home is awesome. Great location, very nicely furnished. We were pleasantly surprised at the outside fire pit seating area. The back screened-in porch is nice as well. Management was very responsive to a mild problem with an appliance.
We would rebook future stays at this location without hesitation. We highly recommend it.
The cottage is located in a very remote and wooded area. It's a lovely home very well appointed, and cared for. The backyard and the sunroom are definitely top notch. With the exception of being able to hear the traffic from I-35, you would think that you were in a wooded retreat. The house is on a very Steep Hill, but has fairly level driveway big enough for one vehicle. The neighborhood is very very quiet. This is not the spot if you are looking for a party house. If you want a Quiet Retreat-type getaway I would strongly recommend this property.
Very clean and comfortable place to call home in one of the best spots to stay in Austin. Having a beautiful screened in porch overlooking a tree-filled, private yard is an added bonus. Nice decor, linens, ample pillows and plenty of towels. Appreciated having a washer and dryer as well as the artisan coffee, creamer and sugar they provided. Don't let that keep you from a visit to cafe Medici - my favorite coffee shop a few blocks away!
We had a fabulous time in this home, which fit our small family perfectly. We loved the porch and the fire pit, and enjoyed being so close to the city.
Clarksville Cottage provided a great location near downtown Austin for us to use as a base while helping our daughter with her move to Austin. Lovely home, beautifully renovated, spotlessly clean, and the perfect size for a family of 2-4. Definitely check out the screened porch, the deck with barbeque and the backyard firepit area! Rental management staff were super-helpful, even responding quickly on a Saturday evening when I had a minor issue.
This was my second stay in this delightful cottage. I was happy to discover that one year later, it was still fresh, immaculately clean and well-maintained.
