This was a nice temporary home for a month long stay. Nice little house, and a good location.
I've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals in Austin and this house is one of the best. It was fully outfitted with all the necessities and very well maintained for an older home. Two great things about this house, the location and the yard. It is tucked away in a secluded corner of a established neighborhood providing a safe and secure stay. If you are a pet owner, you will really appreciate the yard. It's spacious and well fenced with a privacy fence. There is also a well furnished screened in porch that is great for morning breakfast. The property management was super friendly and accommodating. There is also two great coffee shops, a few restaurants and a grocery story just around the corner. Enjoyed my stay a lot and would certainly stay here again.
We stayed at the Cottage for 2 months this summer and absolutely loved it. It is so cute and the location is really great! Walking distance from restaurant, Yoga, grocery, bus stops. The yard was super for the dogs and we loved the bikes. Emerson Property provides amazing service as well.
Terrific rental experience. The house was just as expected; no, better! I will certainly use Emerson Guest Properties again and AGAIN.
The cottage is just what you would expect...very charming! Emerson Guest Properties is wonderful and they work hard at making your stay a great experience. We spent a lot of time on the screened porch...and also indoors watching the Masters on the large tv. The house is cozy and comfortable. The setting has a very secluded feel, with green and lush vegetation. The back lawn was in need of mowing...but Austin had a lot of rain the week prior to our arrival. The claw foot tub/shower combo is very nice. I wouldn't recommend it for an older guest with any difficulty climbing into it for a shower. It is the only bathroom. Parking on the street was the best option. The house has retained it's charm and it is very comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and only ten minutes to UT. We look forward to another stay!
The cottage was everything I expected and more The screened porch was my haven for the weekend The ability to get up in the morning and drink my coffee overlooking the back yard was what I needed The weather was great and the location was perfect I look forward to renting from EGP again!
We had a very relaxing time staying at this cozy home! Great location, close to so many great restaurants and easy to get anywhere in Austin. Beds were comfortable which is so important! The screened porch is wonderful to sit and enjoy coffee.
The Keasbey Cottage was perfect for our family of 3. The house was spotless, and decorated very nicely. The screened in porch was really nice to have dinner on in the evenings! It was very rainy during our stay so we didn't go into the yard, but the porch allowed us to be outside and stay dry. Every morning we took a short walk to JuiceLand for fresh smoothies. Emerson allowed us to check in early and also provided us with a high-chair for the baby upon request. We definitely plan to stay at the Keasbey Cottage again the next time we visit Austin.
We really enjoyed our weekend stay in this classic quaint rental. Great location in a quiet neighborhood with lots of privacy. The screened porch is the perfect place to relax with family and a Shiner. Our dog loved the yard.
House was perfect for family of three. Very comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen (thanks for coffee!), nice porch, although it was rainy while we there. Perfect location near UT campus, short drive to downtown. Hyde Park has a fantastic bakery (Quack's) and restaurants that you can walk to.
I stayed with five friends at the Keasbey Cottage and it was such a great experience. Brooke was quick to respond, the directions were easy to follow, and check-in was smooth. The cottage was in such a pretty, quiet neighbourhood just a quick Uber ride downtown- the perfect place to relax after a long day out in Austin. The cottage itself was clean, beautiful, and cozy, yet definitely spacious enough for the 6 of us. It had all the amenities we could want and the backyard and screened in porch were amazing. I would definitely recommend the Keasbey Cottage to anyone visiting Austin!
Keasby Cottage is a gem. It is a perfect location for anyone who wants to be close to all the action in and around Austin, yet return home to a quiet, relaxing comfortable place to kick back. You can get just about anywhere without having to get back onto the congested highways. The neighborhood is great for walking or biking to grocery stores and coffee shops.
Our family of 3 had a wonderful second visit at the Keasbey Cottage! It was just as great as our first visit, and we felt even more at home. This is our go-to rental in Austin now!
The house was perfect. It was small and quaint and very comfortable. We utilized the screened porch more than any other space in the house. It's on a quiet street but very close to everything. I will stay here again. We actually arrived early and they allowed us to check in early as well. I was thoroughly impressed.
We found this experience to be great. The property was exactly as advertised. The house was clean and well-maintained. We highly recommend this property and their management company!
Lovely Cottage in quiet neighborhood with all the amenities you might need. It's within walking distance to stores and eating places. Will definitely stay at this property again!
Lovely Stay Very quiet end of the street cottage in great walking neighborhood. Our dogs loved it too.
This was a great cottage. The location was perfect for our visit with our daughter and close to many restaurants like Quacks Bakery and Asti and within walking distance to a shopping center. Loved the screened-in porch.
We had a great long weekend stay at the Keasbey Cottage. We were in Austin to visit our son at UT, and the Keasbey Cottage was the perfect spot to both soak up some local Austin scene in Hyde Park, while still very close to campus, and the glory of the Austin food scene. The house was just as described. Very well laid out, maintained, and comfortable. We especially loved the screen-in back porch. We'll be back in September.
Such a cute, charming cottage in a very quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. Within walking distance to several neighborhood restaurants and bars, easily bikeable and RideAustin will take you downtown or 6th Street for under $15. All that and it's on a secluded part of the street with a very private backyard with an awesome screened-in porch! We hung out there most of the time, playing games and even eating pizza out there. Know that there is a lot of trees, bushes and bamboo making it very shady and breezy, but also can be mosquito-prone. The house itself is super cute with comfortable beds and furniture, although no dining table (no biggie as we ate on the porch!). The house is well-stocked with everything one might need, though I would suggest bringing mosquito repellent or citronella candle or something! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Oh! And Brooke was very communicative prior to our arrival and I have no doubt would have attended to any needs very quickly and efficiently should we have needed.
This cottage was a perfect rental for us. We were in town visiting my son and prefer not to stay in a hotel. The location is great and the neighborhood quiet. The cottage was clean and had all the necessities. We had a problem with the lockbox but a quick call to Emerson and the problem was resolved. There was a screened porch and a small deck in the back. We would stay here again.
We enjoyed staying at this cute cottage in eclectic Hyde Park. The location was great, being close to dining, grocery and coffee shops. The house, itself was clean, comfy and stocked with any little essential we could need. When we did bring up a few minor concerns to Brooke, she was wonderful to deal with. We would gladly stay in Keasbey Cottage again in a heartbeat!
We had a wonderful time in Austin and at the Keasbey Cottage. It is in a great location and met all of our needs. We'll definitely be back if it's not booked.
Hope to be back! Loved staying at Keasbey Cottage!! It's an adorable home in a great part of Austin. Hope to be back in the future.
The cottage was just as described-- quaint and well-equipped. The beds were comfortable, nice linens and towels and a functional kitchen. The porch and yard were quite nice!
The simple floor plan with bonus seasonal room out back was perfect for my family of four. The provided pack and play and high chair helped us to settle in quickly! The simple furnishings meant that we had no need to baby proof! It was a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back!
This cottage is a good size with two bedrooms. We even cooked our Christmas meal of salmon there. It was clean with easy accessibility to Airport Road and Highway 35. It was a very nice experience!
This lovely cottage was perfect! We all slept well - comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood. Living areas were very nice, including a large screened porch - perfect for early risers and a cup of coffee! Highly recommended!
This place was a perfect fit for us. We had our two teen boys and two dogs. We were able to crate the dogs while we were out and also enjoy the lovely sun porch while they played in the fenced yard. Easy drive to campus and easy walk or bike ride to local store, bakery and restaurant.
Very comfortable, quiet, charming place. Close to restaurants and attractions. I would highly recommend it to my friends. My wife and I would definitely stay there again.
We had a great stay at this Hyde Park cottage; cozy, close to everything in Austin and great amenities!
Our first booking through HomeAway, and we were extremely pleased. What a charming home, clean and well stocked with comfortable backyard and grill (charcoal). The enclosed screened-in living area off the kitchen and dining table on deck made the home feel much roomier. Conveniently located to nearby shopping and walking distance (30 min. walk) to LBJ Library at University of Texas. Highly recommend!
